Well, I have bitten the bullet and ordered a fanatic set, csl wheelbase and inverted pedals. Just got to order the seat now, possibly an rseat S1. Deb was surprisingly cool when I told her how much I was spending :). Setup will be all a lot sturdier and longer lasting than what I have now which will be cool for George and the boys to start learning to drive. George should be able to reach the pedals in about 6 months or so. Can't wait :):)
Deb is likely out shopping for something she wants for about twice what you paid for the rig. P.M.

No problem on it fitting your playseat, two screws - no center one, on the playseat. If you don't like the angle of the peddles mate let me know. Might have a cheap solution for you. You'll love the difference with the new wheel ! I'll even give you my wheel settings if you need, or, Luiz can give you his. I use a standard wheel, he uses the f 1

Hi gents, when and IF I get a shot at choosing, "if" everyone has it (and/or had/has time to get it if you do not),, grab a copy of the N100 '65 Toyota Sports 800, level up to Lvl 3, Power Ratio 292 (128hp), Weight Ratio 94 (1202lbs), full custom diff and trans and tune it as you see fit. As I said, all this is a mighty big "IF" I get the choice, but will be selecting Suzi short or Tsukuba. I did not look for a tune but I'm sure there is one or more. All I did was raise the front a couple cliks, set ARB's at 8, rear toe at 0.30, adjusted the FG to 130mph for Suzi and went for a few laps. You know my disdain for "slo" cars but this one sounds cool and was surprisingly quick - under 1 min at Suzi. Anyway,, there you have it FWIW ;)

Geezer racing in the rockies. My rig.

Was nice racing geezer-style again.

in this video this lad is talking about his w116.
He built a modern mercedes 300 turbo diesel (not the SD version that was sold in the USA) in it, that replaced the original 280.
If a car is over 40 yrs, there is virtually no tax on it. Tax on dieselcars is 200% of Gasoline cars. I think our country has the highest tax regulations (there are many, i wont go into that) of the world. Maybe some scandinavian country is higher. So, on paper, driving a 40 plus old diesel is a sensible thing. On paper, i would like to emphasize.
He tuned the engine up to double figures in horsepower and torque.
Most of the necessary items he obtained from scrapyards.
Than he was planning to do a trip round the world in this very car.
Later in the video there is footage of him driving somewhere in Pakistan.
He had a little mismatch somewhere in the diesel delivery system (didnt understand the dutch explanation, so no further details on this). He did a provisory repair, but couldnt be ssure if the car would hold further on. So he boxed the car to send it home by ship.

At the end of the video he mused a bit about these endeavours, the transforming of the Benz and doing a worldtrip in it.
In his opinion one should certainly do it, but be prepared for some drawbacks.
Lol, some (!) drawbacks.

Great lad, great story.

Wednesday Night Geezers Open. Start at Bluemoon Infield A x 6 laps in the N400 Toyota S-FR Racing concept. RM. Boost weak. No tune. Slipstream real. After that I’ll choose someone for the rest of the festivities. Bluemoon crash fest to finish. Lobby opens 6:30 central. First race hopefully shortly after. Later lads...
