The opening scene of OUATITW is an homage to the whole "High Noon" movie. They thought about those things back then, not so much today. All they do is remake movie classics. Recently, we watched three versions of "The Big Sleep". Humphrey Bogart's original, with its classic bookstore scene; Robert Mitchum's done in England (its Joan Collins bookstore scene sucks); and Burt Reynolds' "Shamus, with its own "healthy" interpretation of the bookstore scene. Burt must have had a fun time with Dyan Cannon, too. She always laughs.
The latest remake is "Westside Story". Why?
