The car chosen by Steve is very demanding, 400 hp over 550 Kg !! it will be fun. ( thanks for your setup help)
Yesterday at Lemans I did not aspire to overtake the last corner to get sixth instead of ninth and it was not even a problem of muscles, simply your cars seemed transparent to me and I accelerated for this.
However, I regret having inadvertently created problems.

I remembered a joke I heard a while ago. One lady had to leave her little daughter with her father while she went to the market. The child then began to play serve tea for the father. The father found the game to be a great pastime and every tea she brought with her he drank and praised the quality of the tea. When the lady arrived home she asked if the child had behaved and he told her the story. She paused for a minute and asked, "Did you stop to wonder where she was getting the water for tea since the only water source she's tall enough to reach is the toilet?"
Hope your're fine, Steve...:lol::lol::lol::cheers::cheers:

We'll John, I think they did the dailies just for your enjoyment :)
N 100 - A race VW bug
N 200 - C race 86 GT

Sine we all know your love for the slow cars ;)
You're absolutely spot on bud 👍, Hmmmmm let me see ,, what is the word I'm searching for (thinking :indiff:) ahhh, I detest them! :banghead: Honestly, I tried 2 laps in the bug with zero aids, NOPE, no way in hell to get it around the course. Set TC at 1, turned on driving assists and still wasabsurd to handle, 4 laps and that was enuff of that horse pucky, won't try it again. The Toyota 86 is not so bad, it drives OK, speed is OK but the trans shifts stupidly WRONG, was such a frustrating distraction 4 laps and it was a done TT as far as I'm concerned. All that's left is the Gr3 so that will be my TT fun this week. Frankly, these TT's are (for me) becoming increasingly uninteresting each week. Previous GT online TT's (GT's 5 and 6) for the most part they offered up really fun and challenging TT's, some were tuning TT's where we did our own tuning, hopped back on the track and drove lap after lap trying to improve, but for the last year it seems they really don't give a rats a$$ what they set up for we few who still play the game. Somewhere wayyy back in my memory of GranTurismo I was absolutely convinced the game was supposed to be a "RACING game" - - wasn't it? If I wanted to drive "slow street cars" that most of us can afford and likely have in our garage,, why in heavens name would I want to drop a bundle for their games, PS console and steering wheel just to drive a car I might use to run to the store for milk and eggs?? There, rant's over,, now I feel better - BUT still ain't a gonna try to improve my times in the VW or streetable 86.

Honestly it's OK Cal,, we try to remember - it's only a game.

Hey guys, I'm not officially a geezer for 8-1/2 years but hear there may be some racing Wednesday night (tonight). Would like to join in if possible. Current work schedule is keeping me out of the main SNAIL event on Sunday nights.

I do my best to drive clean, follow standard OLR and especially respectful of corner rights. Retired race steward, so know the general rules of engagement.

Sorry for my short stay and my wife's screeching. She's not normally that vocal at 1.30am.

I didn't kill anyone this time but it was a bad idea running stock. I was tied to a stump the way you lot were passing me but it gave me a chance to watch and learn how some of you drive.👍

The chat had me snorting and it was uncanny how many times someone said something really funny just before tougher corners. Is that a tactic you use to slow people down?

Good fun and thank you all for the races.👍

It was fun to finally hear "digtater"s voice after meeting you in the Quick Matches in the early days of those because your PSN ID is for certain a stand out name . We were happy you could hang out with us partner, especially considering the late hour for you. 👍👍 Some, if not many of we "Geezers", have already slept 3 or 4 hours by 0130 and most likely are wide awake (we had to P), we may be watching YouTube 'cause we can't get back to sleep. If we're lucky we can get a few naps in during the day. The laughter, joking, ribbing is the main reason we gather together in a GTS lobby, the racing is only an excuse to meet and have some good natured fun 👍. It's always cool if we win a race but as you witnessed it's not the reason we're playing. We hope you can join us in SteveBeech's Geezers and Friends lobby for Sundays racing fun. Last week there were 13 players, some were quite competative :mischievous: and some of us just tried to finish before the clock ran out :nervous: so the racing was alot of fun.

I tried to get a word in edge ways but gave up and ended up listening instead.

You Geezers may have a few more years under your belt but they've not dulled your wits one iota. Great fun to listen to full on banter.:D

There's a question mark over Sunday (grandkids) but I'm working on it.👍

With the limited amount of users allowed in party chat, ever thought about using Discord? There's a version for every platform.
Yes, Geezer1791 (Jerry),acenbrone (Luiz), oldboy1942 (Claude) all have Discord but many of we old pfarts do not have nor will be buy smart phones. Hard headed old men? Yes, technology moves at blinding speed which for my 2 cents is something I'm not willing to attempt keeping up with. I have an early version iPhone but do not download any apps other than the map thingy. As unhandy as a second chat is, it is what we've settled on using.
