I haven't worked with a proper livery editor before, but I'm familiar with some graphic design tools. Here's some problems I've found so far (but could be changed/fixed in full release):
- Doesn't appear to have a coordinate system.
- Paints do have codes so it's easy to match colors. However, it's on a 1-100 scale rather than 255/511/however many bits scale.
- Mirroring stickers to the opposite side is a thing, but sometimes it doesn't seem to sync/mirror perfectly.
- Different parts of the car (i.e. left/right side, hood, front, rear, etc.) have borders that aren't perfectly aligned with any particular plane or piece of bodywork, so conjoining designs (like a shape starting at the base of the door and going up and over the roof) can be finicky and difficult.
- Some of the gradient shapes don't seem to go to maximum opacity, so matching colors could become a nightmare, as well as conjoining shapes together.
- Stretching a shape/object to certain point (not even excessively large) can cause it to warp through the body at times, creating holes.
- There's only one font currently available (but with the import tool that may not matter).
Here's some shots of my first creation in action, you can see where I ran into problems with the gradient shape:
