I saw something about changing the headlight colors on your car. How many cars have that option and what colors can you choose from?

Well I do believe its time to begin, He is my first attempt.

Also if anyone can tell me how to embed on here with flickr that would be great, Thanks 👍

I tried the 458 Gr.4, you can mod it, I was hoping you can modify the tires names (Toyo, Bridgestone, Etc) on all cars, but it seems to be able only to be done on Gr.3 and Gr1

Just to be absolutely clear, can you put custom liveries on the 458 Italia Gr.3?

I haven't worked with a proper livery editor before, but I'm familiar with some graphic design tools. Here's some problems I've found so far (but could be changed/fixed in full release):

- Doesn't appear to have a coordinate system.
- Paints do have codes so it's easy to match colors. However, it's on a 1-100 scale rather than 255/511/however many bits scale.
- Mirroring stickers to the opposite side is a thing, but sometimes it doesn't seem to sync/mirror perfectly.
- Different parts of the car (i.e. left/right side, hood, front, rear, etc.) have borders that aren't perfectly aligned with any particular plane or piece of bodywork, so conjoining designs (like a shape starting at the base of the door and going up and over the roof) can be finicky and difficult.
- Some of the gradient shapes don't seem to go to maximum opacity, so matching colors could become a nightmare, as well as conjoining shapes together.
- Stretching a shape/object to certain point (not even excessively large) can cause it to warp through the body at times, creating holes.
- There's only one font currently available (but with the import tool that may not matter).

Here's some shots of my first creation in action, you can see where I ran into problems with the gradient shape:

I don’t have the Gr3 yet, but on Gr.4 you can put custom liveries, I believe you would be able to do it on a Gr.3. I don’t think it is like Ferrari prohibited GT to mod the livery

I too am curious about the 458 gt4/3. Whenever anyone can, post some pictures of one with some clothes on.

Helmet: we can change color (1 color).

Suit: we can change 3 colors.

No logos or shapes. Simple but cool. Would be cool if we had more options to add logos and stuff at least for the helmet.

I'm curious to know if there are any limitations using the livery editor on the VGT's - specifically the BMW. Thanks in advance if anyone wants to investigate.

Just to get the Ferrari guys out of their misery, you can modify them.

Just did a quick livery just to show them. I know it is crap

Oh I'm so relieved now. All of the trailers for GTS that featured the plain 458 had me worried.

I have to add that I did find the livery editor to be abit finicky, To me it just seems like too many steps are needed for alot of things, Icons aren't the most obvious of things, I also had quite alot of lag with certain decals which made it almost impossible to use them properly.

I also found that needing to place a shape before changing its colour was abit counter-intuitive it makes very little sense to change the colour after placement, Just my initial thoughts, It is however not a terrible editor by any means, Just abit finicky.

What have you done to my car?! ;) Colour aside though, stunning work my friend, can't wait to get stuck in. So with these liveries are they "per car", or can you take a design and map it to any car? Just thinking if I wanted a "stock" GTI and a custom GTI, would that need two cars or just one that I can add/remove liveries?

From what I can work out, you can save multiple liveries to a particular car and remove/equip them as you please.

Maybe this has already been asked and I missed it, but anybody find a way to duplicate stripes you place on the roof to the bonnet without having to do it manually and eyeball it?

Not my work, just found it on twitter. It´s the Leopard Racing Golf TCR replica.
