GT Sport (November) Update Theory Discussion

If you guys have any grudge for any vehicle that is high, like a truck or SUV, sure you can despise them personally but to rant them here just because someone mentioned they could be added in the game or you have something involving them before? Lol come on.

Of course, many people could hate you for stating that and whatever the reason may be why you still despise them, this isn't the thread for that. I hope you understand.

What does this have to contribute in this thread?

I was simply explaining the reason for my dislike of large vehicles to ARTAsean.

Oh yeah, because Corvettes, Porsche's and Ferraris don't ever fall into that category at all... rolleyes..

Trucks are automobiles and have just as much an important place in history as any car does. They just have had a very small niche in motorsports history, thus haven't traditionally been represented well in Gran Turismo to date.

Overall your post is ridiculous, frankly. Gran Turismo is the real driving simulator, not the real Supercar and Racecar only driving simulator. And as a fan of GT, you should be a real automotive enthusiast. Shame you don't seem to be.
This sounds ironic coming from you.

With Gr.3 and N500 in the Fia final, I'm thinking a new Gr.3(VLN Supra for the 4th time :D ) will pop up.

What horsepower range does N500 encompass? Might we see one or two of these on the grid?:
- SRT Challenger
- LFA Nurburgring
- Aston Martin Vanquish
- Cadillac CTS-V Coupe
- Ferrari 430
- Maserati Gran Turismo S

If a classic car is coming, the E-type Jag would make a good choice. Also, the Plymouth Superbird and Toyota 800. How about NIssan R390 GT1?
So many possibilities.

Bit offtopic: The Supra would have been in the SPX class if it was a unhomologated GT3 car. But it starts in the SP8T class. So my guess is: it will either be a stock Supra with a bit of necessary Race preparation (Cage + stronger brakes + tires/wheels) to test the cars reliability (like they did with the Lexus LFA concept and the Hyundai I30N) or it will be some kind of Touring car or GT4-esque configuration. I'm very excited to see it tomorrow.

@RaphaelM : Hey mate, just to remind you, this is not a wishlist Thread. :)

Since N500 and Gr3 are racing, Here are possible cars, from previous GTs, mostly N500 because more likely that there will be new Gr.3 cars to series
Audi R8 LMS ultra (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) '12 (Gr.3)
Alfa Romeo 8C '07 (N500)
Ferrari 430 Scuderia '09 (N500)
Mercedes SL55 AMG (R230) '02 (N500)
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C6 '06 (N500)
Ferrari F430 '06 (N500)
Nissan GT-R '07 (N500) and/or SpecV '09 (N500)
RUF CTR Yellowbird '86 (N500)
RUF CTR2 '96 (N500)
Aston Martin DB9 '06 (N500)
BMW M5 '08 (N500)
Ferrari California 08 (N500)
Scuderia, 8C are by far most likely. Also SL55 because Kaz owned one.

True. Probably due for a new Gr.4. Gazoo also did the GT4-looking RC F and C-HR.

I would take any of those. The RUF I would love to see but I think is unlikely now that Porsche is included.

Question - would that green Porsche GT3 RS from the Madrid photos fit in to N500?

The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS in the event is still an N500 car like the one we already have, it's that it's a much beefier and stronger car. Oh, and Porsche and RUF together is seemingly not impossible, I mean, look at the Crew 2 and Gear-Club Unlimited 2, these games have both marques in them.

I'd say that these two 50s German classics are likely to return:

no, not seriously. this is not a classic car simulator. I would be happy about a few real racing cars. Gr.3 4 and 2. British Touringcars etc. How old are you that you only ask old cars? PD has even fulfilled some wishes. I mean this is GT Sport

That's why these cars should be GT: World Tour(PS5).

Why complain? Gran Turismo has always been about the diversity of different cars, you still get your selection of racing cars to play with in the end. But Gran Turismo has never fully been focussed on only race cars. Everyone has different reasons to play this game, there is something for everyone.

There are also repechange races with Gr.B cars. Maybe some new rally cars and tracks?
Volkswagen I.D. R
Lancia Delta S4
Ford RS200
Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 T16
Lancia 037
Suzuki Escudo V6 Pikes Peak Special '98
Audi Sport quattro S1 Rally Car '85
Monster Sport SX4 Base Model '11
Monster Sport SX4 Pikes Peak Special
Renault R5
Tajima Monster Sport E-Runner Pikes Peak Special '12
MG Metro 6R4
Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak '15
maybe fictional Gr.B cars or otherwise some other rally cars from other competitions that can match them. Or some oddball like 911, 959 or 288 rally cars.

Road versions also not impossible, but less likely. More possible road versions are
Peugeot 205 T16 Road Car '85 (N200)
Ford RS200 '85 (N200)
Renault R5 Turbo '85 (N200)

Hoping that PD begins to update the Gr. 3 cars to latest versions (like McLaren, Aston Martin, etc.) and maybe some new LMP1 cars from last year, more Gr. B cars. PD added 5 cars from 1960s in one update (August), now it's time for some different cars.

Has somebody wished for this thing to be present in the game? LOL.

I guess there's nothing wrong about those classics being added into GT Sport. Besides, like someone else stated here, they're also part of a history as well. If you even know, there's some exceptions with regards to that one, too. Classics such as the Samba Bus or Beetle do exist in the game.

That's why my belief is that if PD is able to add those old vehicles in the game, then they should also be able to add more cars belonging to another class for more variety like for example, dakar rally cars or cool concept cars, etc. It shouldn't be a problem for them if they really think about it.

I see your point. The F-150 needs more company. So odd seeing it as the only towering vehicle in the game.
Yes, it needs company, but NOT from the midget. From a modern day truck built on the same principles as the Raptor. The Ram Rebel and Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. The Midget makes only sense as a Fiat 500 & VW Beetle competitor.

Also guys, c'mon; lets not turn this into a "cars I WANT to be" in GT Sport list. It's for predictions, not saying "X car should be in the game". There's a suggestions section for that kind of nonsense.

As for a list of cars that I would like to return in one of the updates, possibly in the October Update, if possible.
My current daily driver, although mine is an '09: https://gran-turismo.wikia.com/wiki/BMW_135i_Coupe_'07
My most recent daily driver, with mine being an '05: https://gran-turismo.wikia.com/wiki/Chrysler_Crossfire_'04
It's based on another of my past daily drivers, so I wouldn't mind having this back, and it will give us another rally car too: https://gran-turismo.wikia.com/wiki/Hyundai_Accent_Rally_Car_'01
My first daily driver, although mine was a '98: https://gran-turismo.wikia.com/wiki/Mazda_Protegé_'02

I realize that, out of all of those vehicle, the BMW 135i '07 is most likely to return, if only because it was a detailed vehicle in GT5 and GT6.

Make it happen. Yesterday. Free roam+Fiat 500+ONE RAMMY BOI+expansive area with long straight=car hockey or car chicken.[/QUOTE
I used to play soccer with friends on the Top Gear track with trucks and compacts on Gran Turismo 5. Loved it.

Gran Turismo has never been a "classic car sim." The amount of modern cars in the games have always greatly surpased the amount of classics. There are only 26 cars built before 1980 in the game and the other 228 cars are built from 1980 or newer. There are quite a few modern cars in the game already and of course PD is going to add way more in the future along with a few more older vehicles. I like racing cars and modern cars but I just have a strong passion for classic cars. I don't only like older cars. I just appreciate them a lot. I don't see whats wrong with what I like. BTW I'm still pretty young.

I'd love to see a 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 6.7 Cummins diesel and a 6-speed manual transmission. Either rear wheel drive or 4x4 is fine, as long its manual. ;)
If PD will add a diesel car in the game, they must get the engine note right first. Not to be blunt or something but admittedly, PD already has a reputation for producing crappy ass engine sounds in GT5 and GT6, something undesirable for a 7th generation console game and this is coming from someone who plays Gran Turismo for more than a decade already. Only a couple of cars get the sound right. Probably, it's like that since most of the cars were carried over from GT4, which belonged to the PS2 era. I bet that the experience wouldn't be the same in GT Sport since it's already modern, though have yet to play the game to see once I get the console for it. This is one main thing PD should also pay attention while making this series.

I wouldn't call a car built in the 80s modern. The Ferrari F40 is considered a classic and it's from 1987. Same goes for the Lamborghini Diablo, and that car is from the 90s. Properly modern, in relation to car history and technological progress, is from the last 10 years or so. Old is from from the 90s to early 2000s. Classic is from the 80s, maybe something from the seventies. Anything older than that, 'ancient' is a better term.

I agree with you, not only because there is no right or wrong in terms of what cars you like, but also because liking a car can be subjective, and in the subjective, classic and modern compete equally.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that, while the base game was decently balanced. The updates could use more recent machinery about now. Only 22% of what was released so far is post-2000.
