Here we go. I leave to you the pleasantries.

  • Were you as a team, able to go all out on the present device or the pre existing problems from the PS3 era put a "brake" on your capabilities?
  • Will be possible to have a deeper team management in A spec or B spec mode?
  • What have you learnt from your race driver career that was put on GTS?
  • Will be ever possible to avoid clone-cars ( same car- same livery) on the grid?
  • Has your team checked out any GT6 statistics in order to understand its players? Which was the most impressive/interesting?
  • What are the current Vision GT plans?
  • Is the Redbull Challenge something to look for also this year?
  • The idea of custom numberplates, paintchips and [ prettymuch every tuning option] was a nice addition, what can we expect more?
  • How much have you collaborated with the manufacturers for this title?
  • is there a particular car model you're fond of in GTS?
  • is Porsche ever coming to GTSport?
  • Is GtSPort the launch of a new ip or we will see a GT7? (pretty much sure this was already addressed.)
  • An opinion on modern car racing?
  • What is the next step for the sim racing genre?
  • Are there any plans for a DFGT successor?

How are these questions going to be selected, by the way? Is it via likes, in the manner of the GT Suggestions forum? Or is @Jordan or another member of staff just going to pick them?

With Gran Turismo 6 we were provided through online updates content involving Brazil's legendary racing driver Ayrton Senna, enabling us players to trace the roots of his racing career.

Would you consider repeating this feature with providing additional iconic F1 drivers to the next installment on PS4 (GT7)?

For example Michael Schumacher, Mika Hakkinen, Nigel Mansell, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost and others...

Most fitting would be adding Michael Schumacher content, what with his relatively recent accident in 2013 and being the most successful driver in F1 history in terms of on-track achievements.

Seeing as Logitech decided to screw over G25/27 users, so far this gen...and seeing as GT has always catered for older wheels in the past, are you looking to include any old software/hardware drivers, from GT5 and GT6, for the G25/27 owners to use their wheels for the new and future GT games on PS4 ?

Nothing in life is ever perfect, not even Gran Turismo. Looking back at the development of Gran Turismo 6, what would you liked to have done better or differently? Have you been able to overcome this for GT Sport, and if so, how?

Goodness, I leave for a few hours and the post bombardment is real

Some great questions so far guys 👍 As far as hand picking goes, I think it would be best to bring in the group of people heading to the event here (Of whom are willing to ask questions.) in the thread along with our head honcho Jordan then have a round table discussion. I'm assuming max we could probably ask is 5 questions.

@Samus regarding your post earlier in the thread, @MarchingSaint made a valid point in the GTS General Discussion thread. Yes, I understand that we all want to know if there will be a livery editor etc. However, those questions are pretty stale now and nearly every thread that pops up with a Q&A involved asks those types of questions and if anything they barely get answered. I don't see what asking questions like those for the umpteenth will achieve. It's time for new questions to come up now. Ones I'm hoping Kaz is willing to answer.

Also @AJ , good one, I'll add it to the first post.

I'd like to know why PD did not answer a single question from the previous Kaz Q&A, hosted on this site, which was a initiative from PD itself. Or rather, I want to know if he actually read the questions and the feedback.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/kazunori-yamauchi-qa/?order=first_post_likes

In that subforum there´s pretty much everything the 'hardcore' side of the playerbase wants to know, dating years ago. The thing is, since PD didn't answer questions then we cannot tell if PD actually read the feedback or not, so I'd like to know if they read the feedback

BTW, the "answered" and "addressed" questions tags were added by GTPlanet's staff based on lurking other websites and separate interviews. Not a single question was nor answered nor addressed in the Q&A itself, nor in GTPlanet.

-------------------------------------------

Separately, here are the most requested pieces of content and features, in the suggestions subforum:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/cars.339/?order=first_post_likes
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/tracks.340/?order=first_post_likes
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/features.341/?order=first_post_likes

With those three links plus the Q&A above, in this post there's the feedback from GTPlanet for future games. Hope PD reads them.

My point still stands to be honest, we want to know what the latest is on these questions. In the end it's up to Jordan and anyone else what they ask but I don't see the point in restricting what we can post here, I don't know the last time he was asked about a livery editor but we still want to know when/if one is coming, the only way we'll potentially find out is by asking. It may be "boring" but it's a valid question without an answer.

In Polyphony's defence, it was actually an initiative from Jordan. After the Q&A forum was closed, I remember him saying he felt it was irresponsible to set up a Q&A session that Kazunori did not have any interest in responding to. Doesn't necessarily mean that Polyphony not responding was the right thing to do, but there was no requirement for them to answer anything at all.

Kaz personally committed to answering questions. At least that´s what was informed to us by Jordan, in the quoted link.

I understand there´s so many questions he could realistically answer, or some he wouldn't want to, but he didn't answer a single one.

Maybe he just forgot. Might as well remind him there´s two whole databases packed with feedback, sorted by 'Likes': the Q&A and the suggestions subforums.

Personally, I don't care about him typing the answers two years late. What I want to know is that he personally read the most popular questions and suggestions, so that we know PD considered GTPlanet's feedback for the new titles.

To me a "Yes I read both", or "No but I will" answer is good enough. The thing is, for us to know that then he has to be asked about the Q&A, since he didn't answer the questions.

--------------------------------------------------------

About the discussion of asking him in person about the livery editor feature, that is the second most requested feature for the series, right after improving the sounds. Obvious question to ask.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/features.341/?order=first_post_likes

Similar situation with Porsches. They are the most important missing piece of content from the whole series. Obvious question, always will be for every new game.

Plus in GT Sport Porsche would be missed more than in any other GT game, making the question ...be even more obvious. Porsche is among the most successful racing car manufacturers in history, many if not most would say the number one, and the game is about representing brands. It'd like a F1 game without Ferrari.

PD wouldn't have hosted the Q&A in first place if they didn't want people asking them questions. They know before hand what the obvious ones are and have prepared answers for them. Those obvious community questions are sounds, livery editor, Porsches, standard cars and the previous Q&A, in that order.

In other words, if PD felt uncomfortable about those five obvious questions then they wouldn't have hosted a two-days long live public Q&A to begin with, inviting users of this site to ask them questions. Those facts tell us PD is not uncomfortable about this at all. Go ask: it's our only chance.

Yeah I don't recall anything like that from Jordan, just disappointment it didn't happen. He Definitely inferred PD were on board with it.

For example: "In the GTS Photomode, is there a possibility to take interior shots, use a different type of lens like a fisheye lens and perhaps import photos in RAW format?"

or

"Some players enjoy the GT Auto service and the fun that was had in the services cutscenes in GT5. Could we perhaps see those again?"

or

"We understand the simulation aspect of GTS, but can it still be a game at heart? "
Hey man, I'm not trying to be mean but those "creative" questions are completely useless...
I'd rather hear about dry livery editor than any of those questions...

How is it beneficial to this community by upsetting Kaz with questions that are either repetitive or something he just doesn't want to answer?

If you or anybody else in here "demands" answers to all the Q&A, start a petition and have all the members sign it and send to him. Asking Jordan to jeopardize his relationship with Kaz over something he obviously doesn't want to talk about doesn't benefit us in the long run.

The entitlement in some people... Buying the game is not the same as buying a company's stock...

Are there going to be any silly, fun online minigames, a la Forza? Car soccer in a GT game would be epic. :)

Whoa, I wasn't demanding anything, I was simply saying we should be allowed to ask in this thread anything we like, even if the question has been asked before, as long as no straight answer had been given.

Like I say, what Jordan actually asks is up to him but I don't see the point restricting the questions we can put forward, as long as they're respectful. If people gave up on a subject after asking about it once we wouldn't get far in life.
