GT Sport update 1.30 available

Following my earlier posts, here’s the gameplay replay, watch just under halfway when I get rear ended (probably my fault) by a fellow DR: D driver who qualifies below me who had just done a FL that is way below the best Qualified lap in the EU. I have the game replay saved, there lap that got this quick time was spent a lot on the barriers with sparks flying...if anyone can tell me how to upload that lap from their POV I’d appreciate it. Something seems very off with the lap time and approaching speed. Also...did have 27secs of penalties....

Switch to the in car camera [ If thats possible ? ] and manually record it via the share button then upload as usual.

I could see that in the replay from his POV, didn’t realise such bad driving could get you a FL

It is weird though, as I thought penalties would invalidate the laptime.

Most tracks have reasonable track limits that I've seen.

Red Bull Ring is the huge exception where the Red Bull Standard race there was completely ruined by people using the runoffs to gain a ton of time in turn 1.

I see we're having that race in the FIA tournament soon. I really hope that problem is fixed by then because frankly it was ridiculous.

Same thing happen as in "red bull ring" in Fuji,monza and Barcelona where people don't take the chicanne and gains a lot of advantage without penalty...

That's what I meaned with "fix the track limits"..

I figured I just hadn't seen it on Fuji or catalunya yet.

And your ac settings. Is that 30 on road effects and 25 on slip? Very close to my settings. I have a t300 so i do 30 on ffb strength, and 30-35 on road fx but otherwise identical to yours

Yes, look to a replay of the top 10 now that Catalunya circuit is in the daily races... And you will see how people cut the chicanne ...

Yes but thats correct. You shouldn't be brought back in the queue when cutting the corners in the chicane. Thats not happening in real racing either...

That makes sense. Funny, but the Red Bull Ring race, I was really confused how I was so far behind the leaders, so I watched the replay to find out they were all taking huge shortcuts.

With Catalunya being in Gr. 3's (which I'm terrible at) and Fuji being one of my worst tracks in general, being a few seconds behind the best drivers didn't seem at all out of the ordinary

Ah so that's a thing. Thought it was just me lol. Yeah it is annoying.

I heard that happened to other people but I don't know much about it. Try cancelling the update, restarting the PS4, then restart the update.
