I would think the decision to license the car rests with Chevrolet? Pratt & Miller would likely not even be referenced in the description of the car in the game.
Pratt & Miller are responsible for building the cars for Corvette Racing, and as they house them, they are the ones responsible for getting the cars scanned and they are notoriously difficult to work with, so it's not happening.

I do not know how Codemasters and Slightly Mad got their data.

So, 1 hour away from update and:
- No Kaz tease on twitter
- No trailer in youtube
- No teasings from GT or PS social media
- No leaks from NZ store

So, they hiding something or they don't have anything but bug fixes on this update

Someone correct me if I'm mistaken, but haven't there actually been a few past updates which have been complete mysteries until they actually went live?

My wife and unborn child were killed by an ignorant 16-year-old driving a stupidly lifted (lifted by over a foot, actually) Chevrolet Suburban when he literally ran over her and crushed own Ford Crown Victoria; and while facing charges of drunk driving, speeding and involuntary manslaughter, that piece of **** got off with nothing more than one week of community service.
I admit that it may be short-sighted to blame all pickup trucks and SUVs because of that one incident, but given what happened to my family, I have come to fear and even hate most pickup trucks and SUVs.

**** dude, that’s rough. Really sorry to hear, hope you are ok.

Yeah, we get it already. We know you hate them so much but do you really have to reiterate your grudge against them in these threads after some time? It's just ridiculous. :indiff:

This thread is about a certain GT Sport update, not about which vehicles you hate so much.

Sure, but my intuition says that Chevrolet would own the intellectual property of the "C7.R." P&M are just the contractor responsible for realizing it.

I admittedly have no idea about the legal processes involved, so to speak; but I would imagine that PD would need the permission of both Chevrolet and Pratt & Miller in order to add the C7.R into the game.
When it comes to the road-going Corvette, however, I would think that they would only need okay from Chevrolet themselves.
I would also think this holds true for the C8 Corvette as well as the C8.R.

Would have leaked - it always does.

I still think a Feb reveal is possible, but the 5th just seems very unlikely at this point.

But.... it did leak... where do you think these rumors came from?

Either way, aside from off-road racing, what use do pickup trucks or SUVs have in motorsports, even in a game?
In my experience, pickup trucks and SUVs aren't what most people think of when they hear about motorsports; not unless you directly reference off-road racing.

Some kid’s imagination?

I looked around and I can´t find a single source pointing to Feb. There´s a 4chan "leak" and that´s it. It really seems to be based on nothing but the fact that the PS4 was announced in February.

I don't know.... Why are you asking me this? I'm not the one who develops these type of games anyway.

If you could ask those developers why they bring them in their respective racing games, then maybe that will help you know more about their reasons for including them there.

This is insensitive. The guy has been through a horrific experience. Let him vent, this forum should be a "safe place".

Now downloading 1.55 update,53.838 GB!?
What the hell?
No wonder my launch model just suddenly cries from not enough space due to a game update probably the first time I see an update that huge for GT Sport.
