GT Sport's Next Update Arrives April 23

I've been saying Motegi for months now and I've been wrong each time.

But if we look to the Super GT schedule. We have already Fuji, Suzuka and Autopolis.

It's missing 4 circuit, Okayama (ex Aida), Motegi, Buriram and Sportsland SUGO. So we can just hope and keep our fingers crossed.

Gimme the Fit RS please.
I tried. Got the year right, but only got 14 votes. What could have been.:sly:

I am really hoping that PD have got the sound of the Porsche 962C correct. It is quite a distinctive sound and if it's off by much it will be very obvious and disappointing.

I can't wait to get home tomorrow from what will be a nightmare day in work after the bank holiday.

That's fine, if they only added cars from this decade that are relevant to the real world of racing and sports cars. Stop giving us random 90's JDM crap and move on.

How dare you ask for relevant, interesting cars for 2019. You're supposed to be a boring 90s nostalgic like half the playerbase and wonder why the game is losing mainstream relevance

While I don't particularly care for cars like the AE86 I can certainly see how much more hype it builds than the average 2019 sportscar, especially at a time where its incredibly rare in this medium

So what I'm gathering here is that PD adding any car besides the most up-to-date, shiny new models is making the game irrelevant?

Solely focusing on the newest models will bring people wanting older cars.

Solely focusing on older models will bring people wanting newer cars.

Similarly, there are people who want cars to continue their heritage of being in a game and people who want everything scrapped for cars that have never been in the series.

Naturally, the best solution to this is to strike a balance between these things, which is what PD is doing pretty well in my eyes.

I didn’t realise wanting variety in the updates for a game made me a “boring 90’s nostalgic”.

We've had plenty of 80s and 90s content already as part of these updates. A bit annoying when plenty of more recent cars, some of which even premiums in GT6, haven't been given the same attention. Variety would be adding the LMP2 from GT6 and some of the early-mid 00s LMP1 cars. But no we get a shopping trolley Honda, some old Renault, meme Japanese box and another Audi TTTTTTTTTT. Thankfully we've got the 962C which people will actually use.

It's as if people unironically want the 750 variations of Nissan Skyline to return.

Average 2019 sportscar would get far more attention out there among the 'filthy casuals' and the younger generation the series actually needs to pick up to enjoy the sales it used to get. The series has lost a lot of that valuable playerbase in the last 10 years. Sport has been a step in the right direction, but it's falling back to the GT6 way of thinking.

Maybe that’s because one thing GT is really well known for is obscure 80’s and 90’s Japanese Cars? Also the R8 Gordini is not “some old Renault” its one of the most legendary rally cars of its day. The “meme box” has been in every GT since the original so it makes sense to add it. The TT is only the 3rd one we’ve gotten, and 1 of the other 2 is the Gr.4 Race Version.

We’ve gotten 4 (5 as of tomorrow) Group C’s, 6 GT500 Cars, a 2019 Supra, F1 GTR, Megane Trophy, 2019 Super Formula, Tesla Model S, SLR McLaren, Ferrari F50, BMW Z8, TVR Tuscan Speed 6, Nissan 350Z, 1978 Firebird and 2 Mini Cooper S’ in recent updates.

But I guess that’s not variety and is just some old and meme worthy cars.

Not sure how that equates to that last 2010 level zinger when that's a different problem entirely but okay.

I don't think that just because a car isn't brand new means the general public are gonna ignore it, there's a reason cars like the DeLorean, the AE86, the Beetle and several others remain timeless in our society and that's thanks to their own impact upon it. The AE86 in particular has been a hotly requested thing since GT Sport was a thing alongside the A80 Supra we got over a year ago. And the quality of those posts don't exactly reek of people even old enough to know what a VCR tape was.

Car enthusiasts are very particular and individual people who always stand by their particular preference of car, this is thanks to the wonderful diversity we have across the whole world in cars and people. We can't exactly generalize everyone into a particular group, only accomodate as many as we can. While PD has surely added a grand majority of cars from previous games they haven't completely ignored modern cars, its just that making cars for these games is pretty time consuming and not as immediate as people would like, but it is what it is.

Reminder that there are still some original courses that debuted in GT Sport that could get additional layouts:
Alsace
Colorado Springs
Sardegna

There's also the potential for infield layouts for Northern Isle and Broad Bean, too. Not to mention the idea that maybe PD could eventually release a finalized alternate layout for SSRX. And I'm not sure about this last one, but maybe Tokyo could even obtain North and West layouts, too, given that we've already got Central, East, and South, and perhaps even some weird chimaera of the courses.

As for returning courses, there's too many potential courses to make a good guess. Similarly, I'm not too sure what real-world courses could be next, other than other Super Formula/Super GT venues like Okayama.

The longer we go without newer cars being featured much in GTS, the more I feel they are being saved for GT7. It feels like a deliberate move by now.

Getting really tired of the "OLD CAR BAD NEW CAR ONLY REEEE" complaints and moans. If it bothers you that much, then maybe GT isn't the game for you, maybe play something like CSR2 where all the new, new cars you're looking for are added to that game the literal second they're announced at the most recent autoshow.

We just have SF19 last month and the new group C Porsche for this month. They doing very well for balancing out. One more thing I wish this update they make group C separate from group 1 since we have four car now add in group C. Lol

I'm developing a 400 MPH superdupercar and the team behind CSR2 is lazy for not including it years before I formally announce it.

.
Consider this is PD, adding those LMP2 and LMP1 cars would bring nothing but more terrible balancing and as much as i like more of them cars, unless they rework the category, i get not too excited.
962C is gonna be nice to drive at least
