Ah yes, now I see!

Um, does anyone else find the car seems to respond differently in Road Race mode than it does in Time Trial??? Anyone? Or is that just my imagination? :hypno:

I ran a single race, am looking to do more, as i feel with a tweak or two i can go a few seconds faster. i averaged 26.8's with the first lap in my first race, i'm aiming for 26.4's(i know i'm pushing, i need to).

anybody else?

guys!

here's a tip. You want your car to be pretty responsive. You don't really want below 10lbs spring rates because you'll get alot of body lean. You'll want to raise the rear stabilizer and decrease the front for little rear tail swing through the turns. You want some camber up front. I have mine at 3.1 degrees front. Remember your downforce also!

well don't go below.

mine are at 13ish front.......15ish back.......

No seriously Mike! I finally got to the point where I was averaging like 1.28.xxx - 1.30.xxx lap times in time trial for the qual round.
I haven't changed a single thing since then, but now in Road Race mode the lap times are averaging closer to 1.30.xxx - 1.33.xxx.
Not commenting on those times  but I mean, 2 - 3 seconds faster in Time Trial???  :banghead:

I've got mine set relatively "soft" as well, about 16 front, 14 or 15 rear.

because of AWD, our cars have a slight understeer.

Make rear Spring rate harder than the front.

MAKE THE CAR OVERSTEER by making the rear stiffer!

:Pessimist ....I dunno, dude...Must be a pretty slight understeer. Them Lancers seem to pretty much go where 'ya point 'em, I thought....

By the way, when's the last we can email our times to you today? I'm at work until 6:00 pm my time. Like to get in a few more runs before time's up!
Not happy with the results so far; no, not at all!

submit times in before your day is over.

Cali time. 2 hour behind MN time

3:10 right now

submit times before the day is over for you in your area

All righty then...I'll submit one I get home, then if I improve the time I'll try to submit again. Maybe enough time for one or two more races...

trailer, i know i back off just a bit so that i avoid spinning out..perhaps your doing that without consiciously thinking about it. Or maybe there is a difference, but i somehow doubt that very much.

as to hard spring rates...i use the theory that the more responsive a car is, the faster i can turn the bastard. i seemed to work on the venturi at redrock, but i think Seattle is just a lil too bumpy for it. I'm gonna do some 'soft' tests get back at ya with the results.

off topic, anybody play gpl? i got it a while ago, now i need a decent computer....at 9 fps, and using keyboards, my gplrank is an incredible 571.90!!!!! :D :D :D

:P I think that's most likely the issue, yes. I was mainly just checking to see if anyone else agreed. As I didn't get the "Yah...now that you menion it.." response, we'll move on. :D

My :2cents: on spring rates is that, personally, on most courses I'd rather have the car set so it flows over bumps in the road rather than boinging off of them!

hehe i've been boinging for a while now to a decent amount of success. honestly though, i'd rather be boinging then being boinged lol

me go food now :cheeburga

man, do 2 frikin laps and email them in!! it takes 5 mins. don't worry about how crappy you do, just toss in a time!!!

EDIT: If your faster then me, disregard that last comment. also, disregard that if its waaay past bedtime(and the deadline is up). Fuji hasn't said anything yet, so i guess your still allowed to submit times.

fuji, i'm not sure if your editing the site right now, but man, is it ever ****ed up in netscape...lol looks like an acid flashback

EDIT: nevermind, it was just a netscape flashback, the colors weren't working in netscape
Netscape Navigator 6.1: "Screw you guys, i'm going home!!" :P

time is up.......

i'm sorry Tom. i have finished mine just before 12:00am heheeee we'll see you next round in Midfield Qualify then Tom!!!

muahahaahahaa.............sniff sniff....... Congrats!!!!!!!!

Daaaaaang, fast crowd!! :nervous:

Fuji, which sector times are we adding up for Midfield qualify? Or was that whole procedure just for Motorsports land and we're just submitting our best total time for Midfield?

Midfield is best total time me thinks, adding sectors is just for special stage races...i think...i'm not sure

can't say i'm happy sitting 12 seconds behind first over 10 laps. Must work harder!! :zombie:

Nice run guys, Fuji, that was close

Just .300 after 10 laps is some close racing.

I'm looking forward to getting out to Midfield where our power should provide an advantage. I've got a couple of laps under the belt already in practise, and am looking forward to seeing how everybody else is doing.

ok everybody, tomorrow is the starting of Round 2 Midfield Qualify/Race.

start warming up and tuning. i think i'll have a very hard time with this one maybe because of the straights. Low hp (367)

Get ready!!!!
