Hi there, fellow "gtplaneteers"! Each day, I will give you a challenge that will test every one of your driving skills in this game! So today, here's my challenge!

1. Do a Time Trial race in the Laguna Seca track and get a good time.
2. Beat that time by at least a minute less than your previous record!
3. Do not drive into any sandy pits or spin out!

Hope you like the challenge!;)

Good lord. An entire minute?? in the same car? :scared: Or a different one?

No, what I mean is like this; say you got on a track 1'15"966. So a minute less you subtract from the "15" and then you have 1'14"966! And yes, in the same car or a car of a similar type like say you did this with a R33 Skyline right? Afterwards you could attempt this with any other 4WD!

ah, i see now.

That's 1 second not one minute. And you could just drive slow in the first run and faster in the second run to beat the challenge. Definitely not a test of driving skills :(.

How about try getting around in under a minute? Like in this thread: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=102207

Now that's challenge.

I see. To be honest, I couldn't come up with a decent challenge for this game because I do not have GT2. I just only know of a few tracks in the game along with the GT1 tracks...

Well that's ok. But next time be more careful on what challenge you set if you don't know the game really well.

Got it!👍 By the way, what WAS your best time in the Laguna Seca track? I mean, just out of being curious!

Mine was 1:00.561 with the Escudo in that challenge. Since it was far from the best, I never posted it.

I see...

Well, as long as you tried to attempt my challenge, the time doesn't matter. As far as I'm concerned, you pass the challenge!👍 Be sure to check tonight because I will post up a new challenge!

I like driving around and knocking time off the last lap.

It's amazing how much you learn about a track doing this, I mean, imagine you had a whole day just to lap the same track like midfield in the same car constantly. Just how fast you'd be around it, the next race you have would be like cheating in a way.

My time was 1.01.xxx, but someone managed a 59 seconds lap. And there's also one with a 1 minute lap.

AAZ your time is better than mine! You should post it in that thread. What settings do you use?

superturbo: That's also what I like to do when I don't have anything else to do. Pick some random car and track and drive around trying to find the best settings and racing line. It's amazing when you always beat your ghost lap after lap. I usually reach my limit after around 5 laps. Because of this I'm now able to recreate any lap of any GT2 track in my head . So in a way I can drive with my eyes shut .

Hello everybody! It's gtmaster again with your new challenge, enjoy!

1. Complete the Seattle Circuit [full] with an FR or MR from Toyota.
2. Do not hit any walls while driving or spin out at any time or else 10 points will be subtracted from your score.
3. You start out with a perfect 100 and the minimum score to pass this challenge is 70 points!

Good luck to you all and may the best driver win!:)

Yay! Any new one? :D

Well, I am hosting the first ever "Blue Moon" tournament! And as for the rules, refer to the section in the "Gran Turismo 1" area that's titled "Red Sun tournament". And also, do you wish to be the first competitor to race in the "Red Sun" or "Blue Moon" tournament? And be sure to tell everyone else on gtplanet about this honorable event! After all, I'm sure that the finest racers will be in them! Don't miss out ok?:)
