Off-topic now, but I'm noticing people find reason to complain about anything in GT5, totally forgetting about how far gaming and graphics have come along. I've seen people complaining about the grass in GT5; the fact that it sways to and fro as wind affects it. :dunce: Then they turn around and start complaining that their favorite car isn't Premium...as if PD hasn't done enough work getting every little detail into the interiors of Premium cars just so. Grrr....sorry for the rant.

Quite. It only takes a look 10 years before to see how much gaming have progressed. Sure GT5 is not a perfect game, but even earlier ones have their fair share of problems. I think people have this perfection mentality because of the amount of time GT5 has been in development. But one thing people don't realize is that dev time has also gone up exponentially with each new generation of consoles. The perfection of the premium car models also makes mistakes in other areas seem more obvious (2D trees and spectators for example). Whereas in older games they get overlooked because the cars and tracks themselves don't look good either. Internet has also become quite big in the last few years, which makes it easier for people to spread infos about glitches and imperfections. In part, I think PD could've also done better by hiring more people, but that's discussion for another place.

@ loulou: A video about techniques huh? Interesting. I'll give it a look, but my internet is being slow at the moment (browsing is ok, but YT is a no-no). I'll comment as soon as I see it :)

BTW, who the hell gives that vid a dislike??!!

Yes they do. There is some real nice drifts, as for example the ones through Apricot Hill with the STP. The other ones are good too, but you need better throttle control. What I mean is, you do seem to rely on power sliding too much, and when the handbrake is engaged, RPM drops really fast and spinnig the wheels become harder. As a result you get some lag, and the angle of the drift becomes much narrower.
Your car doesn't drift smoothly. My advice would be thus : you should try to use a feint to start drifting instead of the handbrake : it would solve the lag issue. And maybe better suspension tuning could help drifting. I set my suspension as described below :
Spring (depends on car weight) : 7.0-8.0/8.0-9.5
Ride height at mid-height
Damper bound : 5/5
Damper rebound : 7/7
Camber : 0.0/0.4-0.5
Stabilizers : 4/4
Keep training, and it will only get better !

It pleases to you?

I had would wanted you to remind that rides were not on 100% possibility.

I tried to put car to well oneself before it slid

How he tried this surely sharper ride will be.

This I have not intention to boast what good I am because not here it walks me.

I want to show as me this goes out.
How oneself it will please every this me this will be very it gladdened.

I would want to make some drifting tournament and I asked every who he would can me help.

They added to oneself also the taking not the part persons they became to the judges estimating the rides of competitors.

How someone was to interested with help how and to become with judge I will be very grateful.
This was to such international tournament GT2

And so after I for subject this apologize for my language.
I use from computer translator with time ;P

Nice moves ;)
That Xanavi Silvia looks definitely good and seems to match the track pretty well. Was that zero countersteer in the long left curve ? Anyway, it looks great !
It's been so long since I replied in a thread here, I'm so glad people keep on playing this amazing game !

Nice skids, mate. :)
Have you tried low powered cars like near-stock Silvia or AE86?
In GT2 sadly there is no clutch button, so these are quite tricky to maintain decent angle with, however you still can have fun with "flying" high speed interchanges or initiations.
Also you could try four-wheel drifting - this is also interesting experince. I think properly tuned R34 or Evo can work out nicely.

Silvia and AE86? Yes. I tried :)
Except that the such cars have problems on long curves. But on short routes are performing well

4WD and drift??? It seems to me it is better FR drive

The 4WD drift is domewhat different from FR, but if you have enough power and correct LSD/AYC setup, you can do some fun things. It is also, of course, practiced IRL.

My first experience in 4-wheel drift was actually back in GT1, when I was a kid and me and my father raced 900hp GT-Rs at SSR11. Those things could powerslide with ridiculous angles, sometimes more than 90 degrees
