GT2 Oddball Cars

So, after discovering that I can play PS1 games on my PS3, I've been itching to try out GT2 again. Haven't done it yet, but thinking back to my PS1 days I remember some pretty strange cars. So far I've got:
Renault Espace F1
Daihatsu Midget
Dodge Phaeton
Jaaaaaaaaaaaaag XJR

I liked them both, but the Vectors were unusual. The W8 especially so.

A great game doesn't need to rely on graphics to be great! So yes, people are still playing GT2 and will be for long after people stop playing GT4!

But back to the topic, the Fiat 500R and Subaru 360 are definitely odd.

Also the Intrepid FF dragster.

The Lotus Europa looks like a Ute imo.

AZ-1 looks freakish. I think it has gull-wings, too.

Add to that most micro-van looking kei cars.

I always thought the Prius, or whichever had the CVT-attempt-transmission was rather weird. I was even supposed to have its own racing mod, but it was eventually scrapped before release.

The 'Muscle Car Superbird' Plymouth Road Runner Superbird is one fantastic car. Plymouth Road Runner with an aero kit for NASCAR. What's not to like?

Just been looking at some pics of the Phaeton; must say it looks better with roof up.

Actually there was the Shelby Cobra you won in the Muscle Car Cup. It was wider than it was long, and as a consequence it resembled more a toy car than the original one. I would remember also the Dodge Concept Car (bothe versions)and, well, the Pajero Mini...

I never knew that the TOM'S Angel T01 was in GT2. I was completely oblivious to that car until I played the game again a couple of years ago. I just need to remember how to win that car.

It was one of the very early missions... i only know this because i might have gone and bought gt2 in a car-boot sale last summer... and gt1. While looking for Wip3out SE for under £40. But i think the dawn of gran turismo was a bargain at 2.50 for the pair, pristine and with thier GIGANTIC sports driving guide thing in the manual. A really helpful tool for gt5, ive found! Lol

That would be the 1st Pure Sport event at Laguna Seca. Slap all the power you can onto an MR-2 1600G-Ltd. and add sports tires and suspension and you'll have a fun contest to win the Angel!

Vauxhall dealership is there in the PAL version when English is selected. For other languages it's just Opel.

I wounder why they have slight differences between the NTSC and PAL versions for many games. It's like they want you to buy other versions of the game to earn more money for the curious.
