I've told this story many times before, but I don't think you guys have heard it yet. \\
4 years ago I was living in this house with like 4 other roommates. This new guy Dave moved into the room next to mine and we both lived in the basement. It was a nice, finished basement..cool in the summer ++
Anyways, he had been living there perhaps about a month. One day I'm sitting in my room bonging out and playing GT2 and Dave comes home. I had no idea he was a gamer who dug GT a lot, and
he had no idea I had GT2!
So later on he's talking and he asks me what I was playing and i say "it's this racing game..Gran Turismo 2". Turns out he used to have this game but he had to sell his PS1 or something. But all a sudden we're both talking about cars and the game.
We used to have these legendary battles....soccer mom races--he in the Mugen Accord Wagon, I in the Honda Accord Wagon....stuff like that. But in really high-speed cars, Dave was way out of practice and couldn't control anything other than a Skyline (preferably all-wheel drive).
Since I had better skillz, I would then choose a Viper GTS (race kit on) and he would be in one of the prize GTRs.
Some of the duels we had went on for 5 straight laps....
I hated it when he wrecked, though. The question in my mind at those moments would be
do I wait for him to catch up again or do I keep going? Will I hurt Dave's feelings if I just pick up and slaughter a half a lap ahead of him, or should I wait?
Awkward moments...eventually I got in the habit of just telling him "BRAKE NOW!!" so he would eventually learn the best braking points.
