ok im stupid. are you actually serious about the milk truck. lol. i just like how wagons look. especially the legacy. and i want to see how drifting is on gt2. lol

and another thing. im sorry because im going through my garage but how about the trd3000gt thats actually a supra. i think its won so its not rare. but i think someone said teh subaru 360 is rare. i have like two of them and see them alot. ive been seing alot of interesting cars lately

Cool! I dig racing wagons, too! I've been so far kinda disappointed with gT4's selection of wagons. GT2 actually seems to have a better selection. When i used to live out west, me & my housemate used to have wagon 2-player races. I still have a Mugen Accord vs. Honda Accord on a card.

About the 360: It's not the rarest vehicle but it should be. How often do you see them in real life? LIke never. Maybe in Asia there's some still running around. They certainly can't be too durable. And yeah, the TRD is a prize so it doesn't count. To me, a rare car is one that you have to wait for. And then when you find it...it might not be a color you like.

And yeah, i was joking about hte milk truck. It's an inside joke that will never die.

Finally other Purists!:) havent played GT2 in ages but played it the other day with my Nismo Stagea, my 240z and my 2000gt the older cars have racing modifications and are fully tuned rare cars are the best!

Very cool. The fact that a videogame can inspire gamers: cheaters and purists, is something of merit for sure.

PB, What's a purist?------------)

Uh oh, is this a trick question? A purist is someone who appreciates something for what it is. Could be old-world jazz with horns versus that crap they make nowadays with synthesizers and call jazz, could be mom's apple pie versus something you buy pre-made from Safeway. So in this discussion, i'm using the word purist as to someone (such as myself) who buys cars in the game, races them stock for awhile, and uses only what i need from the parts shop to improve them without resorting to external devices.

Now, that isn't to say i don't respect the way you gameshark, cuz i do. I just don't agree with taking it too far. If i owned a shark, i'd try and stay within the confines of reality...which for the most part you actually do. But i get enough satisfaction just raiding the parts shop (STi for Subaru for instance, MOPAR for Dodge) and if my GTO still handles like crap after i tune it...well, hey, that's the way they're supposed to handle! I'm a purist: i'm a car-snob i guess some would say.

It is. I'm keeping it real within the game. Doing what the game originally intended. I hope you're not getting sensitive just cuz i used the word "cheater" to describe gameshark users.

Not sensitive-------->I use a GS because there is so much to see with it, Hidden Tracks, Cars, Characters etc... If you know what your doing you can experience more excitement with one and not be cheating, It's a way to get some things out of the game that PD and other game makers have been promising for years...

Something I like to do is make cars like the Skyline have more horsepower.
Not like 2000+, but more real like just about 800 to 1000. Or a Viper with a
turbo and 850+ horsepower. Like real life.

I know. There are many ways to use a gameshark, believe me, you've educated me on alot of stuff. I especially like the way you have the AI cars powered up to match where you're at.

I didn't mean to sound argumentative, we just have different views on the subject so let's be friends.

I saw the locked other hidden cars thread and decided to read this one and i have some questions now.

first of all one of my favorite cars in gt4 is the 22b ( extremely great for drift ) so ive been trying to find it in gt2. how rare is it? every time i play gt2 i constantly am checking subaru's used car lot and have no luck.

secondly id like to get in to hybriding since i have nothing to do and it sounds like fun. do you need a gameshark to do it? the only system i have a gameshark/codebreaker/action replay for is my ps2 so if you need one, gt3 hybridding would be my only option ( id rather mess around with gt3 anyway ). is there any instructional places i could go ( i remember having a site favorited that was all about gt3 hybridding but i lost it ) If someone could help me that would be awesome.

on a side note, i seem to find 84 celicas and 2000gt gt's all the time in the toyota used car dealership. i recently found a black 2000gt. not that its special but i always get the white ones whenever i go to the used cars.

If your looking for info about making hybrids in GT3 go and check out the "Hybrids and GameShark" part of the site.
There is alot of info there, so you should be able to find out what you want to know.
Plus I have made hybrids on GT3 as well so if you want some help just ask:).

Should eventually show up in the Subaru used lot, no worries. I think Pupik's site www.formulanone.org might have the specific days, but i might be wrong. In any event, it's not a mystery.

As Angel already pointed out, it's totally possible in a number of tiny cars. It also helps that muscle cars dont handle well and the Playstation cars can only do what they're programmed to do.

Werd. I was playing a friend in GT2 one time. he was the Superbird and I was a sotck 82 Starlet. Since he didn't know what he was doing, he just swerved and hit the walls and spun out all the time, while I am a very good driver, and I beat him, even though he had 400 more horses than me.

Say no more! Power is nothing if you

1. Don't know the course you're at

2. Can't f-ing drive! :banghead:

I once went head to head with my nephew, who was 9 or 10 at the time. He had a '99 Mercury Cougar and i was in a Daihatsu Midget Type II! We were at Red Rock and he kept beating me down the straights, but i would turtle up and pass him in those broad turns! :D He barely won, though.

back before gt4 came out i challenged my sister to a race in gt3 at midfield. i gave her a zonda and myslef a mini cooper with a couple of mods. I think she hit every wall that you could possibly hit in the game and i did end up beating her.

so like parnelli said its not power, its skill and knowing the course

Yeah but those are against idiots who cant' drive... no offense. I once in GT2 beat my friend's PENNZOIL Skyline R34 GT-R in a Mini Cooper with no modifications... in the replay I was like 'look you're the green car (mini) look how well your doing' lol (he was 4 years old at the time, I was 6 and he honestly didnt have a clue of anything he was doing)

Anyone actually tried the Chrysler Phaeton? Seems an interesting rare car but I don't have the money to buy it yet or maybe it needs to be won.

In games previous to the one I have recently started, I used it to win the Grand Valley 300, the Apricot 200 and the Seattle 100.

I did some races in the Phaeton over a year ago..i believe i tried GT All Stars (where it was out-classed by cars with better aerodynamics) and a few other races like the Tuned NA Cup (where it was over-classed since it has too much power).

It's pretty much a useless car; either out-classed or over-classed...but a novelty and fun (if you don't mind the fact that it handles like a yacht on wheels). Some people hate it...i really dig it!

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if there are any rare cars in GT2 from the used car lots in East City which are worth the wait to get it. I want to start a collection and I need help determining which cars are rare and worthy to keep. I don't collect cars which you can buy anytime from the dealer because if you want to drive them you could just buy them anytime as long as you have enough credits. And if you could get them anytime I don't think it classifies as a "collectible" car.

Can anyone give me a list on these rare cars?

Thanks in advance & GT2 forum rock on! 👍
Temporily I just know these:
Mazda RX-7 (FB3S)
Datsun 240Z
Nissan Skyline KPGC10
Subaru Impreza 22B
Toyota 2000GT
