GT2 Worth the buy?

I fully played GT1... Now I own GT3 and have pretty much completed the entire game. I played GT2 with my friend for awhile.

I was about to buy the game early today for one reason... so I could drive the 1600 Supercharged MR2 that I WISH was in GT3. (one of my favorite cars in real life) :) - the game costs $10.00-$15.00 so no big deal. But then I started wondering... is the game worth it?

What features are in this game that aren't in GT3? I know it has ALOT more cars, but what else? Can you still get the racing packages?

Thanks,
Steve-o

There's more tracks, more cars. Racing packages for standard cars are in there.

If you can bear to look at it, I reckon you should get it. I personally can't stand looking at it now (check out Deep Forest in the original GT, and it looks almost vacant next to GT3's version).

I still play GT2 at times. It has some different tracks, and a bunch more cars, and you can race mod most of the cars.

That and the sheer amount of cars it has makes it worthwhile to me. MANY more races than GT1. You just have to accept the fact that its a PS1 game and therefore wont have stunning graphics or the best physics, but to be honest w/ you, once i really get into the game I dont even notice the graphics anymore. For 15 bucks its definently worth it

I bought it yesterday.

The graphics don't really bother me, but the simulation engine is much different than what I've been used to playing GT3! The cars are initially more responsive, which is misleading.

Also, the AI sucks! The cars continuesly smash into walls and into me! Something I'll be on the last corner of a Rome race in 1st and get smashed back into 6th!

Good game though. It's fun seeing my car on there (The AW11 1600 MR2). It's also the one I bought, though the 1/4 times are way off. (runs a 16... should run a 14.8 or so.)

Yeah, the AI is pretty horrible in that game, but its still pretty fun when you wanna take a break from GT3...it and makes you appreciate GT3 even more once you go back to it. hehe :)
