I started yelling 'I won a car, ohmigod I won a car...'. My wife runs into the family room : 'What's the matter?' 'Honey, look, I won a car'. She wasn't impressed.

 Absolutely priceless! That really cracked me up! :) 👍

My favourite moment is probably when me and a friend started playing GT3 for the first time and we couldn't believe how good it looked! Or when I finally got 'round to actually purtting some efffort into trying to get the S license.. I had left if as hopeless for maybe 6 months, but suddenly one day I decided to give more than ONE try to each license and - would you believe it, it wasn't all that hard! That really "opened up" the game for me..

Recently it has to be discovering WRS and really getting a kick out of how much fun I could have with GT3 for such a long time.. 👍

Cheers!

Whats WRS?

Mine was when I won Poliphony Cup !
At the beginning of walks in GT3 I didn't feel confident enough to race it and I told myself : "..wait till you will be revealed the best car to do it".
Then - after a year and a half (I'm not dumb, I have a life!) - I've decided to give it a go and I've realized the fact that all the hours spent on the couch has improved my driving skills (much better than real life drive) and that a clear pit strategy was necessary too!
I then changed my approach to the game and started racing again on endurance without necessarily using a F1 car or souping up one of the opponents pack.

Another memorable moment was when I came here.
A special mention goes to GTP ;
you've helped me a lot and I've couldn't reach 100% without your support.

Cheers !

My most memorable moments with the lovely and world changing game GT3 would be:
Opening the package and playing it the first time. I immediately fell in love.

Getting the Skyline run under 9,2 secs. (Discovered the second gear launch)

Driving the Polyphony 001 for the first time around the Trial mountain.

Seeing the Trial mountain for the first time in all of it's glory. I think it's the most beautiful track in the history of GT.

Getting the R390 around the Seattle city circuit for the first time.

Completely changing the set-up on my Calsonic JGTC Skyline, test driving it and thinking "OH MY this car is seriously pointy".

Then discovering it was still on T2 tyres, and not super-softs.... :dunce:

The most memorable was finishing the game by winning the Formula GT championship . I got all the best GT drvers that I knew around to help out ! 5 of us spent the next 10 hours taking turns driving one stint each then pitting and passing the controller on.
By the last race we were all fairly drunk and the driving was getting messy , but we somehow managed to do it. There was no way I could have done it alone. Thanks guys !

Getting gold on the Time Attack #10 in arcade (RUF RGT) was also a major mission !

Winning the Viper concept car :)

Last night I finally won the Skyline GTR R tune car in A.L. GT all stars. I have been trying for ages to get it .

Looking forward to GT4 and literally years of entertainment and frustration to come ! :scared:

When I heard about the delay for GT-4 I wondered what else could be done
in GT-3. I already had 100% and all gold license tests a long time ago. I also
had all twelve leader-board spots in the time trials. I decided to beat all the demo
times for all the license tests as a final challenge.
To make it harder I pushed it up to all 6 leader-board spots better thatn demo
times. I compleated it about a week before GT-4 came out (on the 23 here, it was
delayed a day because of the rain) When I finally got the last time it was late at
night and there was no to tell. Oh well. Later when I told my brother he just said,
"Your not human" I'm not sure that was a complement...
(I wasn't sure it could be done, thats 288 better than demo time
runs, and it took nearly 900 gold runs to do it.) Still it felt good.

i would have to say getting the R390 Race and Road cars becuse i had hassel beating them and now i have never lost a race since winning them

Greatest moment has to be taking gold at Monaco and winning the F1 championship. That's the hardest race and series, after you do that, completing the game is all downhill.

Best thing ever: Winning the Polyphony Digital Cup wuith the 427 Cobra on slicks. Then winning the same exact event another 6 times because it was so addictive with that car.

Tieing a race at the Test Course using an Esperante against a GT40. MOV 1st-->5th: .443 seconds. Craziest race I have ever done...

Winning the Poloyphony 002 and realising i had a car that could win

anytime,

anywhere

against anything

apart from P-001's

Lovely feeling...........

Beating Formula GT without an F1 for the first time. I loved my R390 back then. Going through the lisences when I first got it was so fun. I tried so hard for silver and gold even though I could barely get bronze half the time. Great memories.

My most memorable moment has to be either when I got my super license or when I finished simulation mode. I was so proud of myself.

no question about it, the most memorable moment in GT3 is winning your first F1 car. the first time you test it out is almost like achieving nirvana. you realize that you have finally found what you've been searching for your whole gran turismo life.

coming in at a distant number two was beating out a corvette c5r, raybrig nsx, etc. in the amateur league g.t. world championship with an accord by two points! (most challenging ten races of my career)

plus...winning the xj220, arguably the most beautiful car in the game, although not anywhere near the best

👍

Gotta admit my moments were a progression:

1st - "Oh, the red flashing number tells me when to brake and what gear to brake to???" And then trying it out and *FINALLY* getting through that 1st 90 degree turn at Tokyo without hitting the wall...(Let OFF the gas, then brake, turn, get back on the gas...hehe)

2nd - Getting my S lisence

3rd - I have to admit that the feeling you get from winning, then driving your first Formula 1 is like no other! (But finally beating that Zonda Race at Rome II is pretty exhilirating as well)

4th - (and most recent) Finding: www.gtvault.com (trust me on this one...)

Doing the entire Formula GT Championship in one sitting was certainly memorable for me. Particularly since it was the last thing I needed to do, so I got 4 F1 cars at once. :) Just being able to do the whole thing without any breaks (aside from maybe eating a sandwhich in between races) was cool enough though, didn't think I had it in me.

My most memorable moments were when I started playing GT3 (my first GT game). I had a blast in the first few races, especially the first time you see SSRoute11. I was having problems beating that Mitsubishi 3000GT with my Silvia S13. It took me many tries till I won that race. The sense of accomplishment was huge. Also the time I beat the last time trial in Complex String. I was so excited that I didn't believe I just had beat that one.

For some reason, I am not having as much fan with GT4 as I had with GT3. I remember those glorious days in 2001 racing in Seattle Circuit and Midfield.

Most memorable moment: turning GT3 on for the first time (I was a GT virgin back then). That weekend was well spent :)

My memorable momment is had win enough money to buy a Dodge viper! best car but not most easily to drive! and then I begun to win all the races this car cass permission to play! I love that car, I mis the other models of Viper that are in GT2 why in this game allways are lost some memorable models, like the mini cooper 66 in the europe version of GT4!!! is a shame!!!

I have two:

1) Winning F1 Championship Race at Monaco. Took me several tries. After the last round of pit stops and a few laps to go I realized I finally had it...as long as I didn't totally blow it...what a rush. Then my heart sank because the race was too long to record the whole thing. So I've got part of it somewhere.

2) A longer race at Laguna....I think about 20 laps or so. I remember several times coming around that corner just after the pit entrance and there was a car sideways in fornt of me. That must've happened 2 or 3 times. I don't think I ever touched 'em. I know for sure I didn't wreck

...I'll have to see if I can find these replays...I hope I still have them.

The most memorable is of course that when I turned my brand new PS2 on for the first time, GT3 inside.

But apart from that, I had played GT3 for two and a half years (94,7 % complete). I and my friend decided to race each other. It was my first 2 player session and afterwards my friend asked if he could copy my game save. Of course I let him do it. But he screwed something and deleted my game save...

Well, after that day I completed the game in about two months without losing a race. I almost should thank my friend as I probably would never have achieved 100% without him. :)

Mine was when my half brother was test driving the Pagani Zonda S. He was surprised at how fast this "Atlantis-car" really was, so he says:

"This car's faster than a black man runnin' with a VCR!!!"
