gt4 1080i setup need help

I didn't think you were able to play GT4 on PS3

Recently I made a video for raceroom forum with GT4 running in 480p vs 1080i (watch in HD):

Being that GT4 seems to have had a recent resurgence and interest I'm replying to this somewhat older thread...

I only run GT4 in 1080i on my PS2 SS. Never looked back at the 480p after running the 1080i HD option in GT4. I did look into getting a PS3 older 60gb model to see if it would upscale GT4 to run in 1080"p". Never found out about that though. If a PS3 60 did run my GT4 saved game memory card file and my wheel/pedals hardware in 1080p and run it "without any issues" I'd buy it in a heartbeat... However, I don't believe that the GT4 can run in 1080p as it's design limits it's upscale to 1080"i" at best. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

It does not upscale on a PS3. The screen looks identical whether you're using a PS2 or an old PS3. I've tried it.
