GT4 HP Loss and Mods ?

While playing GT4 it annoyed me that I didn't know if the car has ie: LSD stock or sport clutch in stock form.

My question is did PD put these things into consideration in stock form?

For example: A stock TVR T350c defiantly comes with LSD, sports clutch and a sports exhaust in real life terms.

When headed to the Tune Shop you can purchase 1way to full LSD, all clutches, and all the exhausts 12&3.

Does this mean PD didn't put these things in consideration in stock form for the TVR and other vehicles or did they implement it in some way?

Who knows? Maybe they did for some and nor for others or maybe they did for all but have you considered that even though a car might come with LSD in real life, you can still go out and buy an aftermarket LSD that does the same thing but might be more aggressive or hardwearing etc?

Its not really worth losing sleep over is it? :)

Yeah your right not that much of a biggie but it did bother me last night while playing wondering if.
I put my two cents in the GT5 message board on what it should improve on.

I dont know if I explained clearly enough but what Im trying to say is - in real life, even though your Tuscan might already have an LSD equipped there is nothing to stop you going out and buying another LSD that might be better than the stock part but still it equivalent....SOOooooo GT4 is not at fault! :)

I felt that they were in a way, "lacking further information" and at fault due to improper car spec information.

Think about it, If a car in real life is equipped with a mechanical or non mechanical upgradeable part. PD should be more clear about specifying what it has. But because there is lack of information regarding what the car has is a big of a let down to me. The Tune Shop is very vague about explaining what each stage will do. It's the same for every car which we all know is completely not the case in real life terms. It seems they didn't care to further put time into the specifics of the tuning of many vehicles that are in the game. Which I feel is the most important part of the game just as important as the actual racing feedback.

If you buy a V-Spec II NUR Do you guys realize the upgraded parts list for this vehicle is off the charts, meaning tons of mods. But no GT4 will not go any further explaining the car's characteristic of it's weight, drive train, power, length, and engine size. This to me is a huge let down. Then you go to the tune shop and they give you the option to downgrade to a stage 1 LSD. The NUR comes with a 2way LSD in real life. This tells me they didn't care and went the easy route. It doesn't make sense to me why one should do this. Now I have to use my imagination and pretend the stage one is some Top Secret part that's better than the stage 2 - 2way LSD. It also comes with a Titanium exhaust why in hell would I put a sports exhaust or even a semi racing exhaust. lol So are we downgrading or upgrading while buying parts?

EDIT:
So is this the conclusion.
It seems that it's our responsibility to understand the specifics of the car we are tuning and hopefully making the right decision on modding it.

I think it was GT2 were they gave a brief history along with the pros for each vehicle purchased. They should have at least stuck with that idea and improved on it.

Does anyone have any in depth notes on the various mods and parts such as sports chip, exhaust +Turbo combinations?

I ask this because I want to know if there is actuall evidence that shows how each upgraded parts effect power band, throttle response, hp levels etc....

I experienced that some exhausts 1, 2 or 3 won't go well with a certain stage 1, 2..... turbo along with intercooler and sports chip. I read somewhere on here about this but can't find it. These mods had a dramatic drop in hp and rise with certain combinations.

I'm still looking but so far nothing yet answers my question.

Thanks.
