gt4 on ps3 video problems???

i just went and bought gt4 again to play on my ps3 because i wanted to try out my g25 with it. it worked good with it but the game looks like crap. when i played it when it came out i remember the game looking alot better. i now have a 50 inch 1080p plasma and before i was on a regular 27 inch tv. is the problem the ps3, my tv, or has games really came that much farther in the last couple of years. there is no way the game could have possibly had that much video noise before.

One thing that is certain is that the resolution is way too low to look reasonably good on a 50 inch screen. We're talking about a resolution that was made for screens less than half of that, think about running 640x480 on your modern PC screen and you get the idea. It has definitely looked better on your 27" CRT. And yes, games have got a lot better looking, especially if you compare PS2 vs. PS3 the formers stand no chance.

Having said that, the PS2 games may not look as good on the PS3 as they did on the PS2. The same thing occurred with PS1 games on the PS2.

this is a common complaint about the PS3 trying to play PS2 format games. it's appeared on Youtube as well. the replay quality on early PS3's is horrendously poor, and this I believe is why PS3 had all back compatibility removed from it. this is how sony lost my business (that and the horrendous price)
