EPILOGUE:

First of all I must say that I've almost chopped my PS2 with an axe and burned the phuckn DVD down. Why?

PAL GT4 has a nifty new feature which really kept me thinkin for a bit - I have to say that in moment I had 15 golds on B-licence, as well as money and credits transferred form old saves. I wannted to make some PhotoMode pics of Korean ProtoSheetCar, so I bought it. 80,000 credits. Surprise! THE GAME AUTOMATICALY SAVES EVEN WHEN YOU BUY A NEW CAR, not just when you sell it. Hello Amar, this is Kaz speaking, your prescious money has been lost in buying this crappy car which even can't eneter any decent national races!

Well i have the NA release, but i picked up the Spirra for the MR challenges instead of the standard NSX that most people pick. I personnaly like it, the back end is light enough to whip around and will grip quickly enough to push outta the turns rather quickly. Not to mention the horse power it has. It really is a pretty good car, I wouldnt of reset thats idiotic, especially after all the golds, you actually couldv'e won quite a few races with it if you are a skilled driver... :)

I had GT4 in my mail yesterday!! I preordered it on World of Games (Switzerland), so I geuss they got it on Wednesday already!
I couldn't help playing for almost 3 hours last night. The game's just great! But there are a couple of things I hoped would be better:

1) The anti-aliasing problem still isn't solved. Jagged lines still appear quite obviously. (I guess that's a limitation of the PS2 hardware).
2) That one fast car that always just shoots away from the start. This really keeps the race from beeing competitive within the field (doesn't that sound srtange?)

Otherwise (as far as I have seen) this game is absolute amazing and VERY addictive.

The reason I am off to bed is because I have work later at 6pm, and finished my morning shift at 9am while starting my morning shift at 6am getting up at 4am.

I haven't preordered the game and I'm planning to pop by a shop in the early morning when going to school on my bike (here in the netherlands, EVERYone cycles to their school by themselves, I think this might sound weard to some people so.....) I'll buy GT4 then in the early morning...........or I'll "be sick" ad buy it and then do GT4 the whooooolllleeeee day, OH YEAH:sly:👍

i pre ordert my game in 30/1/2004 for the usa its 1/30/2004 i think
 
i preordered last week, cos i know if i did it earlier i would forget about it and end up ordering it twice :dunce: also, i was checking the pal prize car list and noticed 3 prize changes from ntsc, you can now get the polyphony formula gt for winning the formula gt world in the extreme hall, so you dont have to go through 24 hours of nurburgring to get it yaaay. grand valley 300km gets you the sauber c9 and the audi abt tt-r touring for the nurburgring 4 hours
 
I am looking foward to driving the the McLaren Merc SLR as well as the new BMW M5 in game a lot w00t.
 
EVERYONE!!! My Dad said to me he got the PAL release of GT4 at Tesco's!!!!! I might make a thread if the mods allow it but I won't be able to reply all the time. My Dad usually doesn't lie!!! He should be home in a few minutes!!!!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Thats was in the Asian version and the Formula opne could be won in F1 Champ always also in asian version, Grand Valley is Auto union !!!

This is theGTfreaks father and i've just got back from Tescos in Port Solent, Portsmouth. Yes it is true, they were selling it and he's playing it in the conservatory now. His brother is playing MGS3 upstairs.

Now Tescos may have made a mistake in Port Solent so don't get upset if other Tesco stores have not released it yet.

But the great thing is I have a very happy son, but I may kick him to bed early so I can have a go.

hmm maybe i should give my local tesco a ring and ask them?maybe there has been a mistake......................a good mistake 👍
 
Ok,i write here my impression about pal version .

White dvd case , same content for the manual.
Multi language ,Italian,English,French,Deutch,Netherland
Same intro,but music is changed

I have purchased this version only to see difference in graphics , pal format is better for resolution.

But......

Aliasing is the same...same problem with the white border line of the track .
I use a normal 4\3 Sony tv (80cm diagonal ) and RGB scart cable.
The sense of speed is better on ntsc version,the overall graphics of the cars is more ''fat'' this due the black border up and down to crushes image (like all pal game)
I still prefer ntsc version,i give this to my friend .
The rest of the game is the same i think,i have played only 30 minutes .
No way to change this for the ntsc version .
I dont understand the much more improved graphics over ntsc version in the aimar topic.
Last thing, slow down are here on the track preview,but all gone in pre race preview.

A combination of contacts and some old fashion simple luck has led to that I'm about to pick up a copy of PAL GT4 tonight. 👍 Awesome.

This night won't contain many hours of sleep.
