I like James', it really does remind me of Blade and evilness. Though, if it were zoomed out a bit to show more, that'd be even better imho 👍

I thought it was the back of an R8 at first...
THe fact that it's blue detracts from the evilness of it.
I think I can see the wheel jutting out on the right side of the pic, but that's all I can make out.

Lol, it's shot from behind/above, mostly showing the various wings on the right side of the car. Likely misses the theme completely.

But that aside, plenty of good shots so far! 👍

Hi everyone, this is my first image post here.

I am trying to familarise myself with Photoshop, and as I've been a fan of the GT series from the first one, I figured I could conbine the two things. I really like the idea of competitions where a theme is set. So I thought I'd give it a go.

BTW I've been looking through the galleries here and Whooooh! Some of the stuff here defies description. some top work guys!

I was surprised how much I struggled with this. I'm hoping that it was due to the darkness of the original images, murky colours and textures that were oversized and blocky. I hope it'll be easier next time.

I've been reading the tuturials and trying to apply the techniques to finishing this image. Steep learning curve ahead me thinks.

I'm still not fully happy with the end result, too dark, no highlights. But I figure it still goes with the theme of this comp.

Welcome Mic_Col and what a awesome first shot! Looks tons better than the first shot I posted thats for sure! Just some tips if you do not already know them. Use the smudge tool and or blur tool to kind of smooth over very rough edges or to smooth out a reflection. Use the clone stamp tool to smooth out wheel wells and roof lines. The clone stamp tool takes a part of the image you want and turns it into a brush. You will see if you use it, hold alt to set the stamp then left click to paint it. Use Levels, Brightness&Contrast, Photo Filter, and Hue and Saturation to mess with lighting and coloring. Your image looks great, enter in as many comps as you can! Good luck.

I was careful to avoid an excessive artificial look. The turbo could be even more bright but I preffered this soft hot feeling. I thought how different materials could work, yellow points and that things... It's nice to use the unique visiblr turbos in GT4 to do something spectacular. I hope haden't ruined it now
