i just want to point out some very specific problems that i have found with gt4 which i hope they will sort out for gt5.

first problem is the handling of the cars. there is no engine braking on gt4 and if you have a 700hp m5 then if you accelerate hard out of the corner with traction control off it should at least go sideways more realsitically. another thing is ther is no neutral. drifting is also very hard as the cars do not actually go sideways they just seem to lgide over the tarmac in percualiar angles. also why are the japanese cars so advanced compared to english, usa and european cars. an m3 will easily out do a nsx but on the game the nsx is miles ahead with handling, bhp and toher things.

anyway thats my moan for this week

First may I welcome you to GT Planet and hope that you enjoy your time here.

I must address one of your points straight away and that is the claim that GT4 does not recreate engine braking as this is simply incorrect.

I strongly suggest you read the following

GT4 Engine/Compression Braking tests

Sorry but the subject of braking within GT4 is something of a pet subject of mine.

In regard to your other points, you will find that most (if not all) of these have been discussed at length in the GT4 forums and in regard to improving GT5 in these areas a thread already exists

Things you would like to see in GT5 other than cars.

Areas such as drifting, handling of the cars , clutch, etc has all been covered here.

Your last point on GT4 being biased towards teh Japanese cars being 'better' that cars from other countries I woud also disagree with.

I'm going to close this thread as these subjects (as they relate to GT5) can continue to be discussed in the thread above.

Regards

Scaff
