GT4 WRS Week 106 : Mini Ring 101

I'm still waiting for Hugo to pop in post some absurd splits.. I'm pretty sure he could manage a T2 around 28.7 or something sick like that.

But for now I enjoy my glory in the spot light...

I also went back and tried to the old qualifying run with the M3.. but I've hardly improved there it seems... not enough for a div bump, I don't think. My style is picky on the car too much.

I havn't done a WRS race since I was Radicool02. This is quite a fun combination. Anyway, here are my splits so far.

T1 - 0'13.236
T2 - 0'29.780

DJ, I don't think I'm going to get you this week either. I've seen a couple of 13.1xx's and amazingly a 29.8xx but just can't hold it together. I'm not giving up just yet but it's starting to get a little frustrating as I'm not much of a "drifter" and I suspect that is a technique well used this week.

I'm not giving up just yet but it's starting to get a little frustrating as I'm not much of a "drifter" and I suspect that is a technique well used this week.

Not so much drifting, but rather the zero steer slide (or one handed steering). Which is where you put almost no steering input in to steer the car, instead using the brake and gas to rotate it through corners. Its a technique critical to MR cars I've found, both in the game and in real life.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Consistancy is obviously a very critical element here, hitting the same spot every time with the combination corners seems to be my undoing. In any event found a few tenths even though T1 was a tad slower I picked it up in T2 and the last sector is working pretty nice .......... for now! 👍

Edit Friday: Thanks to Azuremen I'm seeing some improvement. 👍 Not sure if I can find much more out there I'm really pushing for me. Never say never I suppose so I'll keep at it.

Just had another session myself, but no improvement, so frustrating when you can see the tenths and get them but your best time always beats you at the last bend

Well if you still can see tenths, you should be pretty safe. I only see hundreds.

Well seeing them and getting them are two different things Don't think I'll be getting back to it before deadline anyway, so I just hope you have a crappy last bend

Its been really dead this week I've noticed.

Could be its finals week in some universities though. I've tried pointing Kent to try out this week, so hopefully will get a few more people.

BTW, how is the premium treating you? Been thinking about getting it myself when I get paid (seeing how much I have after bills)

Edit: Sounds like it would be worth it just to get rid of those chickens in the header! Nothing like chickens in your headers. 💡 Hmmm wrap one in tinfoil and it might work.

I learned a long time ago not to be a doubting fool, If you are sure of the car and/or tyres then those are insain splits, besides if you submit a gold time we can all see your replay.

Can you smell something? sorry mate! never in a million years would I believe those splits are possible with this combo and the stated tyres

Go check your replay and see whats gone wrong and either change the tyres or take off the NOS and the turbo

Somethng is amiss Me thinks even Brother "Hugo" would have a tough time with those numbers. I suspect your pit crew has you hooked up with the wrong tyres. If not then.........

Clean as a whistle so far but I'm still finding (and crossing) the limits of this little pocket rocket's handling. My normal driving style's very controlled and smooth but I'm sliding all over the place at the moment, seems to be working better for me?
