Well, after this weeks SFGTP LAN party, I thought I'd give the WRS a go and what better track to make a come-back on then this one! ;-)

T1: 32.683
T3: 1'40.133
T5: 2'35.750

Will go back and fiddle-faddle with the top-end speed to see if I can knock a few more 'tenths' off here and/or there before dead-line.

Where or how do you get this car? Tried one lap with the Audi TT-R racing car with similar hp/weight with T7 of 2'40.xxx

I'll only be ghosting this. The tires have to be Soft, not Super Soft correct?

I used to have the main cars memorized as to where to get them but that was a while ago, if I recall correctly you win it in the Audi Touring Championship series, well worth it imo. Nice to see ya around again dude? How's Canada treatin' ya these days? And yeah Racing Softs, NOT Super Softs. Gave this a go and had a 1:36 T3 but gonna practice some races for Bobkarts next month, I hope the SF Party was great, wish I could have been there!

thanks bigtime to jay for being such a nice and helping new wrs member 👍 👍
i wont be off until 29/7 but this'll help him make a thundering luxy start :)

on 117: improved my laptime by half a second but with no better t's :nervous:
so sjaak, any more of that great advice of yours if you please?

I decided to have some laps on this one and its pretty damn cool! ... I need some rule clarifying by the race organizer as it only mentions the rumble strips?

The part at T1 where there is a white line before the rumble strip I can take a slight tuck behind the white line on the left hand side of the track and still not go behind the rumble strip whilst having a nice exit line to start the long straight? is this valid or not? basically the white lines are ahead of the rumble strips and if 2 wheels are allowed to hang onto the rumble strip as the boundaries then i'm sure the white line should be valid also?

simply speaking! ..to get on the rumble strip on most parts of thr track you must cross over the white lines anyway .. am I right or wot? :P

my best lap going behind the white line but staying totally within the rules regarding the rumble strips! .. has these splits .. 30.8 / 1'36.6 / 2'31.4

Clarification would be cool before I get some more laps in tonight 👍
Cheers
Ron.

Forget the white line, focus on the rumbles,

so your lap is valid,Ron.👍

The rumble rule is only to prevent we go all over the place in the chicanes and corners.

Good news mate 👍 Thanks for the quick reply

Just improved my lap by .5 at the line so looking like I'm almost done with this one :)
Cheers
Ron.

ahhh, that puts a slightly different slant on things for me, i'll go have another look then. 👍

in the meantime, staying within all the boundaries:
T1: 31.803
T3: 1'37.999 ()
T5: 2'33.556

We'll see if i can be any better by the end of the week, but i doubt it, that first chicane will save a lot of time if cut before a lap is started, personally, i am driving where you should.

Good luck everyone
:irked:👍

So the first practice is over for now.
First of all Sjaak thanks for taking a beautiful course for this week it is fast, demanding and a pain in the ass some times but still a wonderful race.

T1: 33.288
T3: 1.41.951
T5: 2.38.787

Still not smouth as i wanne be but there is some room for improvement.
To all of you enjoy this weekend and we will see next monday what it will be for everyone.

Thanks Le Mans

The T3 time was a typo - sorry. It should read

T1 - 32.320
T3- 1.39.651
T5- 2.35.377

I really should get a good time here to practice, but I dunno why but this combo doesn't feel right imho. Have fun guys!

Right im a bit happier now because i have a clean lap at last and with that i will submit. Im .700 off my best but it is clean and i just don't want to anymore. I have chicaneanituse (a fear of chicanes) now lol :D

0'31.546
1'38.067
2'33.005

and i will sub a full replay this week too 👍

A small improvement in T times (still staying clean before the start)

31.912
1:38.389
2:33.843

I think T1 is about as fast as I can go but I could see a 1:38.000 and a 2:33.000 if I could just hit my marks at the two chicanes and Mulsanne corner consistently :banghead:

Thanks for the info Jerome. I'm around right now because I have some time for it. It's been a long time since my last race, but I'm just here for fun. Canada's alright I guess... how are the States treating you? :P I'll be doing a few laps tonight, not expecting to improve much on the 2'40.xxx T7 done with the tt-r though, we'll see. I'm sure you can run circles around me now hehe. I'll see you around.

Me run circles around you? Were about as even as it comes (except for Rome Circuit I in GT3 :ouch: ) lol. I'll wait for next week man, hope to see you then.

Jerome

So This Feels Good!:)

T1: 32.360
T2: 1.39.351
T3: 2.35.404

Hopefully this weekend some time to improve furtherone. But for so far i'mhappy with the progress i made.

Have fun to all of you with this great race.

Gave it a go, splits are:

T1: 31.479 (Seen many 31.3s and I don't cut the chicane)
T3: 1'38.188 (Seen 1'37.7 from a worse T1 but can't replicate it)
T5: 2'33.497

more sluggish t's from me:

34.048-1.42.430-2.38.519

dont really understand cos the car feels so good and i know the track so well :nervous:
