As far as I know, yes. The rumble strips are considered part of the track, so it would only make sense.

As long as you have at least two wheels in contact with either rumbles or tarmac at all times you're OK.

Some laps to get aquainted again with the chicane and its pretty tricky to not go off track to the right hand side when accelerating towards T2 after the chicane :ouch: ... anyway my first clean save has 13.008 / 31.202 seen a few 12.9's but no lower T2 as yet .... I'll be back :) 👍

Nice combo yet again

.....machines.....

Well we all had it some time, driving like hell put all you can in one perfect lap you drove it and then you f....k up when saving it.:ouch::ouch:
After that trying all you can but not come close to you're time.
T1:13.449
T2: 32.624

Hope to make it good this week (i now i can at least .3 of a second faster at T2).

Goodnight to all of you.

Greetings of a tired and angry Le Mans (angry on myself ofcourse)

12.975 / 31.224 NTSC

13.008 / 31.244 PAL

Had to try them both and ran over 1 hour on the NTSC and about 20 mins on PAL :) .. seen a few 31.1's so will run some more tomorrow 👍

Looks like it will be tight this week :)

12.925
31.079

great splits and apologies for giving too much info on my final lap time, i didnt submit yet even though i said i would, luckily, maybe 210 top speed aint the best, will try some more with 230

First splits that weren't too hideously embarassing to post (some may disagree) ...

13.351
31.980

Took the scenic route on the first hairpin so definitely some time to be made up there, I've seen 13.1xx but still spending too much time in ride-on mode and mowing grass. I should put a catcher on the back of this thing :)

Leaderboard Updated!

Some great times from everyone so far, Well done Sphinx for some top class splits! 👍

T1 - 13.242
T2 - 32.056

Touched 31.xxx once but the lap was a little slower.

First splits from me this week

T1 - 13'120

T2 - 31'616

Happy racing,

nige

New splits..

T1: 13.114
T2: 31.614

Biggest improvement was in T3, this could well be the lap I submit unless everyone else in D2 overtakes it :)

hey, improved a little to .945 .039 using 230 and dfp, nice combo again sphinx

13.203
31.541

Not much to report :dopey:

or it must be the close battles which are going on.👍

I'm in with:

13.091
31.638

Sector 2 is ugly, I'm not taking the new loop before t2 correctly.

Another round and seeing some improvement ...

13.095
31.664

Check your mirrors Snoddy ;)

improved at s/f by half a second but only slightly at t2:

13.552 - 32.895

if only we could tamper with the gears like in gt ... but oh well, i'd be capt slow anyway :)

Now I'm at 13.087/31.346. I find it quite hard to get 31.2, might be missing something to reach the top guys.

Check your mirrors Snoddy ;)

Eeeep!

Thanks Jay, 20 today... Starting to feel old...

By the way, how people are getting into the 12.xx's in the first sector is just beyond me.. It's only one corner! How can you be so much faster?? I reckon everyone in Div1 has a faulty PS2 with a broken clock ;)

Like any other highspeed attempt a Tsukuba you need a good speed thrugh the final sweeper on the lap before your hotlap in order break into the 12.xxx for T1 as for how to set a good T2 time, beats me I guess you gotta have a good speed through the chicane, also having a low T1 time helps too.

13.095 / 31.469

Finally relaxed enough to get better splits. Great combo... 👍 I think I have an extra .1 in there.

What kind of speeds are you guys getting out of the last corner if you guys don't mind sharing? Say right at the start/finish line.

From memory it's about 109mph across the line. I've not done much with this track but at El Capitan a few weeks back there was clearly a line to take to maximize start speed and a line to take for the best lap time. Basically you run wide at the entry and lose a bit of time then full guns out and maximize exit speed.

All well in theory but on this track at least I haven't been able to do any better than 109mph, and often much worse as well as mowing a few cricket pitches in front of the stands. I suspect though that the guys who are getting sub thirteen second first splits are crossing the line much faster than this.
