I think that gold and silver times...etc are a pre-set time. I don't think it matters what the drivers get, so if your time is a "gold" time, me or anyone else beating you won't help. (Again I'm not 100%) Sjaak is this correct??

I'm boned, people if and when I get a gold time you'll just have to believe me coz I'm not the cheating type...........then disqualify me

A minor improvement:

32.122
1'02.738

With a lousy finish.

Does anyone actually benefit from the extra concrete this week? And if so, where? I just seem to wheel spin, whenever I try.

IMHO it's not really a matter of disqualification or not. It's a more a question of credibility.

Race 20 races without strange fluctuations in your results or other suspicious behavior (like mentioning verification in every single post), and you might earn some credibility. Or go get a replay device now and prove yourself a 100% clean racer from day one. Your choice.

But then again. I'm just a grumpy old bastard. :grumpy: Maybe some of my fellow racers are more naive. ;)

Frozen mix out there today, soooooooooo. I guess I'm stuck inside with nothing to do. :sly:

Just pecking away at it. Fun combo but, she's a mind of her own at times.:nervous:

33.052
1'04.828

chuks, my target this week. I figure if he's busy at the resturant and shoveling snow he won't have much time and I stand a chance of sneaking up on him.:sly:

Edit: NielsG, the only place I see where concrete helps is the last series of esses I can take that righty a little quicker knowing I've a little more room on my left side coming out. Using it on that double left after t1 just screws me up. Let us remember this is coming from a lowly DivIII slowpoke.

IMHO :idea:As for the on going problem of replay devices. I've mentioned this before with no response from the powers that be. When you run your qualifier the requirement should also include posting it for all to see. Serves two purposes, we all get to see the new driver run, we know the new driver has a replay device. What is so freakin' hard about that.:dunce:

I see a lot of confusion about this week specific rules.
The reason why the concrete is legal this week is because of the difficulty of last weeks race to stay clean.
So if you have a possible 3 or 4 wheels off on the concrete this week ,the replay isn't instantly dirty thus making the combo more fun.
Also seeing the car we drive it wasn't necessary to make the race harder as it is.
And although the concrete is legal it doesn't mean racers have to race it all the time.

This is the WRS,nobody is naive overhere.;)

Great post Niels,25 Rep points from an other grumpy old bastard,me.:)

Thx for all the people that replied 👍 I did missions 21-24 and got the LM Zonda:tup:

Anyway from some preliminary laps ...

33.675
1.06.624 ......:ouch:

Very bad time but a lot of space for improvement and a very fun to drive car 👍

say, do we know you, friend?

update

my first humble splits: 34.368 - 1.06.309

great car & track, just wish i could control that lovely oversteer. prolly they didn't apply much back downforce to it while importing it from gt mode ... :scared:

yes, im in division 3 about half way down. (if i have to take the qualification thingy again then ok)

about half an hour on this resulted in these splits..

T1: 32.648
T2: 1'03.149

So nice to be back home playing this on a TV instead of through the VIVO on my graphics card.. Everything's so much crisper and more colourful, mmmm :)

just wanted to say THANKYOU to everybody who has helped me this week

The qualifiying times are not made public for all to see because it would allow possible new members to chase the times down, and they would also see where the cut off points for each division.

Chasing down a known time is a lot easier than producing a hot lap when you have no idea what is fast and what is not. The result is a qualifying lap time that is based more on their driving skill, rather than time spent chasing a time for hours on end because they know it's possible to get (see the qualifier re-runs).

Therefore, the posting of qualifying replays as you suggest would create the same problem. Even more so if it's a ghost replay for them to chase.

In regard to replay devices: We are not in the business of forcing anyone who wishes to become a member of the WRS to get a replay device before joining. We much rather allow them to try the series out first, and if they wish to stick around, then we would encourage them to obtain one if possible.

HTH, Ron. 👍

Story of my life. The first possible rep I get for years, then only to find the system is no longer there. :sly:

Cheers anyway, mate :)

I Don't care much if nd 4 holden spd has a replay device or not :P I've seen some others come and go, lagit or not I disreguard times that are not backed up unless I know the driver. The constant posting about it is boring though :indiff: Some valid points made all around so lets just see how it plays out :)

I finally got a chance to run some laps on this one, not enough for a good time yet but investing in some good head phones and aloting time with the kids got me here...

32.043
1'02.676

I'll be back soon with an update.

I had the same thing happen with my G25. Try plugging the USB cable into the third USB port on your PS3. Like this:

USB-------USB-------USB-------USB
_________________THIS ONE

That worked for me, hope it helps!

Pyro

Ok, tried that, it didn't work. Switched it around a few more times, ended up back in port 1, and it works. Thanks anyway though, man!

Should be posting some times later this evening. 👍

Yeah. Just keep posting your times. If it fits a known realm of reality, the truth comes out. Minolta88 may not have won the race last week, but he was the fastest driver. He also knows why and how he didn't win. He races on. I love that.
This weeks race make me wish I had more time.

Took a second off T2

32.357
1:02.818

I've seen a few 32.1's, I think for me a 32 flat T1 is the limit, and if I could just stop overdriving the right/left before the first tunnel a 1:02.000 might be possible.

Using 320 - allows third gear to pull decently out of the tight turns and just manage to avoid an upshift through the first tunnel

I can cop that, I'm only here for a little fun anyways so if I can do it properly and be fast it's a personal achievement. Let's get back to racing.:)

First major session. Will probably put in another one just to clean up where I know i'm losing 4/10ths ish.

31.968
1'02.670

yes, im in division 3 about half way down. (if i have to take the qualification thingy again then ok)
thanks, and you won't have to requally if you've been inactive for a while. is your controller device a wheel or a handheld device?

board luxied

second set of laps resulted in 33.749 - 1.06.172 - 1,5 secs off the s/f

this'll be one of those weeks where luxy will only marginally indicate who'll be fastest at the finishline because t2/F is the hardest part of the track.

Jerry, Thanks for the response and the very legit reasons (for not doing it my way, :)) therein contained. It all makes perfect sense of course but being the ol' geezer that I am you'll have to allow me my mental wanderings. That being said let us race on and I'll be sure to keep my fart/sh&t seperator valve on at this end.

I agree with Jake,
Quad Props for the response by the way!!👍👍👍👍

Ok new splits, pretty much maxed out I think for me... changed gearing to 330

31.833
1'02.024

I do have a replay of a 1'01.970 but I screw up the left-right after the tunnel and end up .130 slower at the finish! :dunce:

Too much to do today. I have a feeling gtbadboy just might catch me. I hope he brings some Woodford's!!👍

Any mental wanderings from ol' geezers are allowed within the WRS. ;)

Seeing that I've spent some time in this thread, I therefore decided to spend some time on the track and run this fine combo. 👍

Splits to follow...

Div 1
DS2

New splits:
0'31.815 (.708)
1'01.897
Top speed 330

I probably reach my limit with another couple of tenths, mainly at the first sector and at the last complex.
