Well Chuk that sounds like what happened a couple weeks ago to me after loading a replay. I bet something is corrupt and I would try to save your replays on another card as fast as possible before something happens to them. After that format the card for future us. If that is the team Smart card don't touch it till Jake ok's it. Not that I'm a big help but I need to make a replay from the ring so if your still up call the cell and I'll come down early cause I'm not working.

EDIT:And thanks, I'm not going for 2078TM's replay if you already viewed it.

EDIT here is my replay
look at the right hander after 2'30 (its close in the front) and watch the sparks fly after 5'00

Does this mean that in future we should take anything you say with a grain of salt?

No. I'm pretty straight forward. Just saying I wouldn't mind if someone else stretched the truth a bit. I'm not talking about posting invalid times or anything like that, but embellishing one's potential a bit seems reasonalble in a competitive environment.

Interesting. I downloaded 2078TM's replay. Uncrushed it without a problem. Remove AR Max disc. Insert GT4 disc. Everything fine. I go to Replay Theater and the menu says I have eight replays, but all times are blank with the cursor on the top file. If I scroll down just one file, the titles re-appear for the other seven. [I keep two fastest replays per race, this weeks triple threat means six replays. Add one for last weeks race, which was a surprisingly silver time at my beloved ring]. Let me know.

That's what happened to me the last 2 times I tried to download replays and I don't know what caused it nor how to solve this. I haven't tried it anymore since then. :indiff: And I have over 100 replays from all my OLR, as well as other game saves :scared:

Edit: And here's my replay:

CMir's replay is squeaky clean, and a very nice lap it is, mate 👍

Usually get that problem when the replay is PAL and youre NTSC.

Or the file has been renamed at the wrong stage in the transfer process, and GT4 cannot correctly determine what its called.

Ive usually deleted them from mem card manager, and found everything to be ok afterwards.

Good luck with that

I decided not to try to rename the max files after it became a regular thing when Fryz and i were swapping times.... ahhhh those were the days.....

:irked:👍

I pulled and viewed Kenny and Bill's (01GTP and 2078TM) replays. Both are clean with correct specs.

Bill comes VERY close to the wall on the uphill left hander at the 4 minute mark, just before the first carosel, but I have determined this to be a clean close call.

I put his lap in the data logger and compared this point in the lap (674 ml) to my lap and Kenny's, and the moderate and gradual drop in speed due to the uphill is the only apparent change. No spike in speed.

I ONLY mention this in case any others view the lap and scrutinize the same spot. This was a solid run overall and squeaky clean in all other areas.

Great runs guys. 👍👍

I hope to at least be in sight or your rearview mirrors on our next run at the ring. :dopey:

Kevin

Thanks for the clean and green EDK. Did you have any replay issues with Bill's, like chukabilly did. If not, I plan on viewing as many ring runs as possible including that one.

Hey Kenny - I did not have any issues with Bill's replay. Hope this trend continues..:nervous:

Kevin, thanks for checking my run 👍 On that one I guess I did drift a bit further right than usual trying to keep the speed up on that left hand kink.

Bill

And it worked :)

You carried a lot more speed up the hill than Kenny or I did.

I saw this line but stayed away for fear of whacking into the wall and having to restart halfway through my lap.

It's that kind of move that makes you at the top of D2 podium and me a D3 chaser. 👍

Again, great run, and what would a winning lap of nearly 8 minutes be without at least one close call?
