Pictures..................

Cool to see them but please people, forget the text "WRS results"

1-There is no need anymore for the text since the results pic. competition stopped.
2-It is ugly and double up when there is a huge Results text above a picture like we do now in a results thread..

So, just a nice picture will do.👍

Hey, gang. "Let's get it on!" I've got a few minutes before I'm headed to work....let's see if I can keep up with my Div 2's....looks like it's going to be real tough here, but I'm game.

Woe...I haven't been here since GT3. I'm going to have to climb a steep learning curve here. My short session today isn't too promising:

Lap 1=34.767
Lap 2=35.257

Total Time=1:10.024

"I'll be back"

"......I do not like green eggs and ham......" :yuck:

Slowed it way down just to get two clean laps in. With all due respect to Sjaak, I'm not a real fan of this combo. I'm sure it's the driver and my lack of experiance.:grumpy: At least I try them all, all the time. No cherry picking here. I just suit up jump in the car and giver 'er a go eh? OH yea, some times. No laughing from the peanut gallery.

35.351
35.657

That should be slow enough to keep me at the bottom.:) My time may be better spent at COD4 this week............we'll see!

the list

rather dissed by the low turnup for this week ... i really need to know how fast my hotlap is :ill:

ron, keep on tuning and you'll come to the 34's in no time. you will find that it will make all the difference this week. try this for starters just like carlos advised, then turn some knobs to adjust it to your driving style.
the 0-1-0 really saved my life, that's for sure!

I'm a bit afraid that I do like the combo :sly:

Not that i'm good in GT mode, which shows in the T's but it is a real challenge this week.
Great that you gave it a try RonB.👍

34.644
34.676

but consistent :)

Using the settings of the vault (except aids 0-1-0), I managed the following splits:
33.872
33.847

The laps are separated by 0.006 (my 2 best laps). My best T1 yet is a 33.619, so there's 0.3 to get at each lap (though it'll be really hard to get that).

I ran these laps using DS2 instead of the usual DFP. That's because I got a sprain yesterday, so I won't use the DFP for 3 weeks or so. :ouch: But seems like I'm not much slower than with the wheel, the main problem is the smoothness. And I usually mess up when I unhide the ghost or look back to see it :dopey:

.
Great that you gave it a try RonB.👍

I'm not done with it yet! I'm just not an experienced tuner so I need to learn how to tweak the darn thing.:dunce: I've received some "schooling" from a couple of the drivers this week, (great thing about this group:tup:) so I'm still working on it. At least now I am able to get around the track in multiples of 2 without the arse end trying to meet the front end on every turn. :scared:

I may indeed finish last, but I'm not the type to just give up eh?

Edit:

Oh my! I twisted a few knobs in the cockpit. 💡

so that was my 15 minutes of fame ... great driving carlos 👍 (good luck on the injury) and very good you keep trying ron :)

lux up to post 40

EDIT well this is what happened. i took another try after a little convoy with friend michael/ren-tec, where we also discussed our settings for the gt car. minor tweaks to brakes and shocks, that's all.
but then i suddenly took .750 off my 2-lap time and now i'm 3rd overall on luxy !?!?!?!?!?!?
rechecked the car setup but it's all up to spec: na2, 666/625hp, r2 compound, no wing.

34.083 - 33.948

i even had a pass with t's of 33.697 and 33.651 but that got me so excited i blew it in both final curves ...
if someone could check my replay before submission it'll be available thru the back channels. i can't believe what's happening either :boggled::confused:

Wow. This is my first gt race. I'm getting used to the car and the track, let alone the settings. My 1st splits.

36.815 / 37.859

edit made some changes
35.406
35.610

After spending way too much time on setup I finally got around to working on lap times

33.996
34.086

Still a lot of time left - I've improved turn 1 quite a bit and pull out three to four car lengths on my ghost (a 33.909) but keep blowing turn two and fall back two to three car lengths - so there has to be at least half a second available.

By the way - using the GT Vault setup as a starting point. An excellent setup that tames the snap oversteer but seems a bit slow and sluggish to me so I've made some minor changes to try to get the front to stick better - softened front spring rate and bar, front camber up to 3.0, front toe to -1, LSD to 5 5 5, no aids. This is a bit twitchier but is faster - wouldn't use this for a race but for two laps it seems to work for me.

Ok new splits for me using a new setup which you will find quick and easy to do.

Setup: LSD 25/40/10 Brakes 5/5 gearbox tranny trick final 4.320 no roll cage

everything else to stardard values.

33.814
33.731

First clean splits for me. This combo is trying my patience. :grumpy:

35.616
35.759

Total - 1:11.375

These will get better over the weekend - I hope.

Later
Kevin

ok...first try for me...

33.850
33.728

kind of a strange setup for me to make this car go fast.

8.0 6.8
98 98
8 10
8 10
2.5 0.0
0 0
2 5
brakes 1 4
lsd 10 25 5
da's 0 0 0
tranny auto 8 (no trick) seemed to pull out of the corners better
wb +20

have a run with 33.814/33.690 but touched the curb coming onto the front straight so i didn't want to submit it...have seen 33.522 so i know there's more in it.

really nice times from all divisions...keep up the good work gents. :D

hey!!! my name is Kevin too!!

I'm working hard to keep you all entertained.:dopey:

34.864

I'm sure there's more out there to find I'm just not sure I'm the one to find it.:dunce:

At least it's consistant.

Struggling with the high speed turning with no grip at high speeds.

let her slide buddy...just let her slide. don't let the rear come on around too much though...but, if you'll just try to control the slide you'll be faster. don't try to fight against it...work with the slide...you wont get rid of it totally.

this car will definately understeer/accel and oversteer/deccel but you have to learn when its gonna let go on you. when you first feel the rear coming around lift off the gas...this should induce a small amount of oversteer...but at the same time it will bring back some grip so that you can get right back on the throttle. braking a little earlier than you think you need to should help out a bit too.

everybody uses a different setup...you just have to figure out which one works for you. i know that you're a seasoned racer here...just trying to encourage you to work with and not against the cars characteristics. 👍 :D

Nice setup imfaster! 👍 Had to tweak it a little, stiffen the suspension, -1 on rear toe and lsd 5 5 5.

just submitted my lap to our parting steward.
now the sweating begins ... how fast will my laps actually be?
:scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared:
please let ron not be so fast this week :)
EDIT michael/ren-tec has already got my replay so he can give me the green flag very soon i hope 👍

Steve, I'm not submitting just yet but in all seriousness, I doubt I'm the guy you have to worry about. Besides, that's a very impressive time you've stuck up there for DivIII. You might have to worry about the new steward promoting you iinto DivII.:nervous:

HA that's not gonna happen my mate. it'd take me 2 more & consecutive weeks to win - which is very doubtful - and even then i wouldnt want to part from you lovely div3 guys. and besides, of all the div3 guys i'm the one that fits there best :dopey:
EDIT luxy updated up to post 55 57

Okay guys, I think I've almost got the hang of my new (Christmas) DFP.

My splits (and probably my submission):

33.854
33.994

It's a great New Year!

Bryan

Edit: Sorry guys, please disregard this post. I missed the tires requirement and used different ones. I will try again.

submitted this weeks times
this will be a week I'll be really looking at the replays as I couldn't find the adjustment for driver error, I'm sure I did horrible through the esses at t1. My best t1 all week was a 34.3. I had all week to try different set ups that were suggested during the week and I think it was a good combo of all the setups that produced the fastest laps. I even had to buy a new car because the hp dropped driving it too much. Even after the oil change.:odd:

34.843 / 34.576

I think this was a great GT mode combo, beacuse in arcade mode, the car would have been completely impossible to drive as opposed to nearly impossible. The each their own, and in no way is this a comment toward Sjaak or any who performed well, but this was not the combo for me. :yuck:

I am only submitting because I bothered to spend time on it, but I actually spent the majority of my driving time this week on manufacturer races trying to rebuild my game save that I corrupted last July. So there is still a positive in all of this. :)

Anyhow, my splits from the sub, and I only hope I am not bringing up the rear on final time, as as my splits would suggest. Either way, I am off to Suzuka and looking forward to some slow and slippery turns.

35.019
35.150

I'm going to "abide" by this as well. Just gotta play for a little bit(already past my bedtime) first to get a clean lap. This weekend got real busy, real fast.

Submitting now

Kinda disappointing as I've run 33.8xx's (and even saw a 33.7xx), my best saved splits are 33.866/33.999. But at a full second quicker overall, the splits from my best time are 34.225/33.981 :ouch:. Then again, everyone's been having a tough time this week.
