You think thats old? I was born Dec 11 1979!.....oh wait.....  Jus' messin' with ya! GL this week gents I am Beat after all my runnin' around to Seattle and getting my G25 ($150) and playseat evo (for $75bux:sly) :D

Jerome

Ran some more laps tonight and didn't improve my T1 but gained nearly a full second at the line. As Cmir said, a good T1 isn't any guarantee of a podium spot this week.

Welcome to the 'Wheelers' club Jerome, you were hard to beat with the controller, the G25 can only make you even better.

And welcome to the old guys club Nurb, although I don't think we're the oldest around here by any stretch. My first racing game was Night Driver on the Apple II (basically a picket fence that moved and you had to stay in the lane using the paddle controller (rotary pot) :D

Got a 17.5xx once, but of course then overshot the chicane! :(

Think i'm done with this one, time submitted. :)

hehehehe...born October 14, 1963...guess that makes me an "Old Fart" too...lol

even though im older than most here i still like to give the "kids" a good run for their money...lol

You guys are just a couple of years younger than my parents... :sly:

Another 80km session with the same settings I previously used (I tried Holl's settings but somehow they felt much different from mine, and I didn't like it that way), my split is now 17.469. I'm submitting this one, despite knowing I could get a bit faster (I had a dirty lap better by 0.1, which is a lot on this track)

This old fart (May 28th, 1962 ) has just updated the board again. Think Jake and Ron are the only ones that are even older than me

T1 17.753

Ran this with default settings 1 time for about 20-30 laps last Wednesday. Tried to just go back to it and couldn't complete a clean lap in 5 tries so time submitted.

I guess I lied about my not being able to do 17.4s consistently, I just hadn't been looking at my T2 time. Been lapping a LOT faster than before, chasing a current dirty ghost that's pretty darn quick, except only a normal T1. I'll have to back out and start chasing it afresh though, as it's giving me troubles.
esh
Not even giving yourself a chance, eh?

This old fart (June 11th 1961) :sly: just wants to say that all of you are doing a damn fine job this week. 👍👍

I'll be joining the fun next week. :)

im 21 Born June 10th 1987 in nottingham home of robin hood, but i dont think he gave it all to the poor :sly: lol guess im one of the youngest but for sure not the fastest!

Fastest lap has a 17.913 so far. Did see a 810 once, but that ruined the lap since I really have to watch the road at that point :)

(on the side: is it "i" or "I" in correct english?)

T1: 17.510

More to come in a few minutes, I expect.

EDIT: Well, more WOULD'VE come if I had realized that I was loosing power... 30ish miles overdue for my oil change. Time wasted! 👎

Have driven 100 miles and will probably give it another 100 before I sub. So far, I have a 17.910.

I have GT5P PAL version :)
Cool same here!

I have all events Gold, and i just need eiger nordwands on B and A Gold along with 4 silvers on S which im working on from time to time mostly
online though

EDIT: i think i ran 100 miles total on this week dont think ill run anymore on thw WRS!

T1: 17.482 and 3 tenths off at the line. Still chasing another couple tenths that are hiding from me along with a 17.3 T1... Don't see a 17.2 T1 in it for me with my settings, oh well... We'll see what happens at the finish line.

EDIT: Uhhhhh, maybe I do see a 17.2?

T1: 17.292 with appropriate clean-up on the finish.

Since I'm driving right on top of myself lap after lap, I think I'm going to keep going until I have to leave, which is in a half an hour... Crazy. :dopey:

I started my last effort about 40 min ago and damn it's hard to gather up that last .2 I'm after :dopey: I've had anything from 17.21 to 17.40, all within .05 of my best ghost. Just a few more attempts and I'm off to sleep I sware.

EDIT: Goodnight now, I'll sub what I got, gl to all still out there 👍

new board

EDIT tried nurbie today just to see how I stand ... picked the Nissan 350Z granturismo on -20/-10. Found out that doing the Nordschleife could be acceptable or even quite fun if the car doesn't weigh over 1300kg and if its topspeed is restricted to around 200kph save the final stretch ... so VERY curious what car our steward picked for us this time :scared:

Finally improving on that first turn:
T1: 17.766

Final laptime dropped about the same as the difference between this and my previous split so I'm happy :). I'm curious to see how the results will turn out this week!

Birthdate contest? Well, I can't resist an opportunity for an easy win....

How about September 3, 1950!

I wished I liked MR cars a little better because I'd be tempted to show some of you kids what "Old Fart Power" can do! :sly:

Maybe I'll get out of my 'rockin chair', take a big dose of Geritol and dust off the old PS2 anyway.:)

Gt3Emperor..........your a kid:

Feb. 1949. Pull up your pampers laddie!!👍:sly:

edit: almost forgot.

17.785

Hahaha, awesome at the age contest... 👍

I'll try to have another session tonight, but I'm squished for time, so don't count on any further updates... Fingers are crossed though!

ruh roh...didn't mean to spark a b-day contest, pretty funny tho!

July 1992. :sly:

Back on topic... I gave this another shot after recovering three whole horsepower (amazing what difference that makes!) with an oil change. I was very surprised; apparently Erik's great combo with the Stratos rally car on Tsukuba wet got me into MR mode again, and the car suddenly felt much better behaved. On about my third lap I got a split of 17.500, and had no idea how I did it, and promptly ran the next lap faster anyway, for a lap that finally beat my pathetic goal. It also helps that I remembered to use overrides on my AT , because the limiter is so far into the redline. So, my new and improved T1:

17.637

I braked a little later than normal on this lap and actually slid effectively through turn 3 for the first time. This split is a whole .002 faster than a ghost I had from a few laps before, with a final a grand total of .001 faster. What great improvements I make!

EDIT: All right, I lied. I am submitting. I finally found the time I was looking for in T1, so at least my split looks good. We'll see about the results, though. :scared: And I admit, I'm using only a very slight variation on holl01's settings. :guilty: I don't have the patience to tune.

17.484

I figured out one thing I was doing wrong before: trying to steer while braking. Let the rear come around on its own, and you don't have to do that extra braking that comes from it understeering when cornering and braking.

I have run out of patience for this one, as a combo that is of more interest to me awaits. :sly: My final split is actually a little slower than on Luxy, at a 17.939, but I found quite a bit in that last sector.

I might be wrong, but I don't think that split is going to matter too much this week. :dopey: Almost like racing in the dark.

Good luck to all still running.

Kevin
