First splits after a 20minute session:

T1: 11:827
T2: 26.142
T3: 52.510

Just too get too know the track and car a little. Hopefully I find the time for a longer session!

another couple of hours and now i reached these splits

11.597
24.823 (.686:crazy:)
49.471

i pretty much used 100 percent gas for the entire lap except for the hairpin, and for the first section- i eased off to 50 percent gas as i approached the left before t1 (for the intially left kink i went full gas), u need to play a compromising game for the s's, making sure u set urself up really well for the last right hander that leads to t2. stating the speeds would be irrelevant as each lap u will have to adjust depending on ur line. then after t2, a quick 4th at 140-145 switching to 5th almost instantaneously as u exit smoothly for the sweeping left, the hairpin i try and use the mediums for all there worth and drift it in second gear, u need to feather the throttle a little initially as u start exiting from the drift at around 62-64 km/h, pretty hard to get right to be honest.. then full throttle for the right kink as u cross t3, stay in 5th, engine brake down to a quick 3rd at 120, before switching to 4th quickly as u exit the left, for the chcikane i try and take the first cautiously trying to maximise turn in angle for the exiting left, which should be taking at 130+ if u commit to it well enough, the last, switch to 5th gear and punch the brakes momentarily down to 176-178 (i was forced to have another couple of taps in my best saved lap, just to correct the extra speed i was carrying, that lost only .050's worth or so

Nice run down, Dan... that last corner to the straight keeps holding me back. I am letting off instead of stabbing the brakes. I will try your method. I'd be happy if I could get the extra .2 I have been searching for in the last turn... I am having trouble getting the car redirected there.

Hi all,

I would like to take this time to aplogise to the WRS community for my act of stupidity that happened in WRS152. It was completly out of my nature to do and I promise it will never happen agian.

I hope I haven't made a bad impression on any of the WRS members. I hope we can forget about this and move one.

Thanks.

Wayne

I haven't driven WRS for yonks, even since we had Infineon with the AMG Touring Car... :embarrassed: Is there any chance I can drive again now i've got into the GT4 groove once more and I have a bit more free time? :)

Ben quallied 19th in Div2 last year and he is welcome to rejoin us. Let's hope he will be around more often this time :) Have fun mate 👍

EDIT gained half a second at the s/f with these splits

11.749 - 25.683 - 51.544

Most time to be found for me is in exit speed after exact apex hitting (but that's always the case init :))

Leaderboard updated up to post 43

Cheers Steven. Yeah should be, have got a lot more free time now. I think the problem was I joined in the middle of completing my GCSE exams, so I completly forgot!

Thank you for posting this, Wayne. I'm sure we all know how hard it is to publicly apologise for anything.

You have my respect for doing so. 👍

Done a few laps... I think I can improve in both S1 and S3, as I think this is where i'm losing time. Whilst it might be a tad frustrating with the understeer on corner exit, I think this is a great combo! :D

S1 - 11.800
S2 - 25.296
S3 - 50.948

you guys are putting in some great times from what i can see, im give this a session later on

Cobra

EDIT:
never really have liked this car but finding it hard to see below 51.000 with is massive understeer just cant see anymore time

Damn my thumbs are ackeing after that one, Well after a couple of hours and alot of restarts i finally got in some times i was happy with...

SPLITS

T1: 0'11.710
T2: 0'25.323
T3: 0'50.521

For those of you who dont know, my new Username for GTP website is GTP_Cobra and my PSN is the same.

But i will be finishing the remainder of GT4 under this name Quiksilver_GT

Thanks

Quik!

Great lap you got there Steve!

But what do you mean by 'finish the reminder'? Do you mean remainder? Is that your gamesave, or do you think the days of GT4 and WRS are numbered now that GT5P is on the shelves? I'd say pick one online identity and stick to that or things might get blurry :)

New splits, I think the final sector is fast because the ghost always beats me out of the final corner to the finish line even though I am 2-3 tenths ahead of him at t3.

11.796
25.786
51.711

Have seen a 51.2xx, but only once. I will keep trying for that time.

We'll im not saying nothing for sure, but maybe they are numbered for GT4 who knows, with GT5P just hitting the US could change things but either way im happy...

A session this morning. Took me quite a while to pass my ghost.

11.953
25.728
51.095

I will give this one another go or 2. I've finally managed to stay on the track with some consistency, my new lap looks a lot more controlled.

Kevin

I think the lap I've already laid down is the best I'm likely to do. This car just doesn't suit my driving style. So, I'll likely submit what I have. Good luck to all fighting the understeer.

And Steven, you didn't put holl01 on the leaderboard. Is that intentional or just an oversight?

And Steven, you didn't put holl01 on the leaderboard. Is that intentional or just an oversight?
I'm afraid it is intentional, caused by the current 'situation' between him and the steward.

Situation between him and the steward? Isn't it only the fact that he can't race officially due to not having a maxdrive?

The leader board is unofficial, so there is no reason NOT to have him up there, in my opinion, Steven. And yes, CMir, you are correct.

Quicksilver, you should just have your username CHANGED, not create a new account. I suggest you talk to some talking to some of the administrators of the board to see if you can change your name, and delete the new account you just set up. That way things are less confusing and people will know who you are when looking at your posts from the past.

Meanwhile, I haven't had time to race, and am taking a short half an hour here to do so. From my first half an hour session the other day, I'm struggling to go fast. I wish this track was still like the GT2 version... :(

It is a steward's verdict. He is invited to explain.

After a second session:
T1: 11:917 11:697
T2: 25.693 25:143
T3: 51.355 51:007

Still room for improvment left, probably will try again later today :).

Edit: Made an terrible mistake at the small u-turn :(. And I had sush a nice T2 :(.

I told Steven to hold off putting Dans splits onto the leaderboard until I had the chance to contact him and to ask what his intentions were for this race. I sent a PM and waited for a reply. he very kindly sent a reply this morning, and is now welcome to race. No big deal guys. 👍

Admit to not having spent much time on this one yet. Still 2 more days to go.

11.994
26.011
52.407

Jerry, thanks for clearing up the Dan-thingy 👍

Wow, 4 t3 entries in the 51's for div3 ... all will be determined it that final chicane tho :scared:

LUXY updated

Last session, 300 gearing:
11.688 (11.5)
25.288 (25.0)
50.528 (50.1)
0.2 improvement at T3 but 0.6 improvement overall

I had lots of 50.3's and lost them all at the chicane or at the last corner :( I'm submitting this time
