GT4 WRS Week 29: "Night Ride"

Hello everyone, welcome to week 29 of the GT4 WRS! Let's go a bit faster this week, eh? Have fun and stay off of the walls. ​

Special Stage Route 5 (Forward) / Hotlap​

Jaguar XJ220 LM Race Car '01​

(This car can be won in European Hall, European Championship)​

Race Settings:

Full Quick Tune up: +20% HP, -10% Weight (651 HP, 1062kg)
Tires: Racing Tires (Any Combination)
Top Speed Setting : Any
Driver's Choice of TCS and ASM
Driver's choice of AT or MT.

Rules:


Only discuss "T" times!

Clean OLR Standards:
No wall touching!
No wall touching!
Did I mention no wall touching whatsoever?!
The enitire course is considered part of the track; sidewalks, rumble strips and all! Just stay off the walls!
No hybrids
No Cheating of any kind
Save your best "ghost" replay
Submit the time listed in replay file name

Time Verification:
-The top division 1 drivers each week will be required to submit with verification.
-All divisions of racers are subject to a request of time verification, however, this does not mean all racers will be required to submit verification for each race.
-Once a request for the verification of a time has been made the racer in question must comply.
-Any request of verification must addressed by the racer in question with in 3 days of the request. Arrangements must be made for the replay to be verified within a resonable time period, or the time in question will be removed from the WRS results and/or GTPlanet Times Database.

Deadline: Before Tuesday, November 1st, 8:00am CST
No times will be accepted after Tuesday 8:00am CST = Tuesday 1:00pm GMT

alright some splits to get this thing going, after a handful of laps... overall i think i can go another second or so quicker but i am happy with the times i have so far after the first few exploratory laps...

T1 - 27.511 (+0.7)
T2 - 47.677 (+0.5)

Meh, I don't like the stock suspension... Ran R5's, but was short for time so switched the rears to R4s and came with these splits in my 10 minute session. First or second clean lap I think, oh well, something to "chase"! Haha:
T1: 27.917
T2: 48.946

When I get more time I might get used to the icky(for me) suspension tuning, and will be going faster with R5s all around. TIME FOR A 1 MINUTE SHOWER AND OFF TO WORK! Ahhh! I love the WRS.

Leave me something to chase when I get home tonight guys/gals!

Decided to try a few laps on this one ... It's pretty bouncy going into the tunnel after the straight so far I'm at ..

I think I can get another .4 on T1 and probably another second on T2 ... will try again soon! 👍

Six free days?! Holy crap... I'll be lucky if I get a couple of hours on Friday and another couple of hours on Monday, counting the time I'll be spending getting the car. And speaking of which, I don't seem to be able to find "European Championship" in the European Hall, and the only one that sorta fit was "Pan Euro Championship" so I started on that one. Can anyone confirm I'm doing the right championship?

I too am dying to try it out. Probably won't have a real go until maybe tomorrow night. I think I'll have the most problem maintaining speed through the tunnel though. Usually my downfall. The final chicane leading to the final sweeper is always fun as well. Come to think of it there's a LOT of technical stuff here! Kinda like Grand Valley with the NSX without tuning!

I hated that race with a passion.

And that's coming from somebody whose favorite track in GT3 was Grand Valley.

If this week is like that one, you won't be seeing me around for a while...
