GT4 WRS Week 73 Official Results

The grass-crete's been legal in the past as far as I can remember, (the last time we raced Deep Forest with the Subaru's ?'s). I didn't see a problem with that part of the track anyway Ben?

You were very close there but I failed to find any point on that corner where any wheel/s completely left the tarmac let alone the grass-crete? As far as I'm concerned this corner is OK.

The only bit in question IMO is the bit in the tunnel, (right on the T1 split). You do go past the back edge of the rumble strip in there but as far as I know it was only the concrete slab on the left hander before the tunnel that was out of bounds.

IMHO Ben's laps is legal. 👍

I'm sure Cyril will clear this up, but Darren is sure it's clean. The only bit of concrete you can't go on is the big slab, so that's clean too. 👍

I uploaded both to my PC at the same time, but as the 72 results thread was gone, I didn't post my 72 qualifier replay. As you can see I had already posted my 73 replay in here, and as you requested it I posted my 72 just a few posts ago. I think that clears things up!

I have a special ability to explain things in a way which ensures that nobody will understand anything.
Actually, you should read the paragraphs you quote in the reverse order.
First : all gold times are required blah blah blah
Second : Replays (requested one that is) must be posted and checked within one week, so that we don't have 6 weeks still open waiting for some replays.

Unrequested replays are of course always welcomed and appreciated.

I'll come back later on Ben's replay. I need to do some WRS administration tonight, so I'll take a look at the replay myself first.

Been checking some PAL replays tonight :

  At the apex of the second lefthander, just before the uphill straight leading to T2, I can see a slight change in the car direction and the data logger shows a 0.3 km/h drop (from 142.9 down to 142.6) under full acceleration. There's no braking, no steering change at that moment, and I couldn't find how to activate the G-meter. Could be a slight wall brush.

Thanks Cyril. Which part was I close on, the bit in the tunnel or the kink before the double left hander?
Because on the kink before the double left, a 3rd wheel very nearly comes off, but doesn't. Even if it had though it wouldn't matter, because it would go onto grass-cete as it went off. And grass-cete is legal!

Just the way I feel about racing... I would be very much pro the rule you quote!! If you'd ask me, 4 wheels on track or curbstones and all the rest is off limits (with maybe one or two exceptions).

So if you check my replays, you will rarely see me put one or two wheels on the grass... If that makes me a bit slower, so be it

I forgot Rocko is NTCS. But why's the file in German? Germany has PAL, as far as I know.

I didn't notice that, although on Ferrari_Chris' replay, on the uphill before the tunnel before the T2 tunnel (The one with a cliff to the right and nothing on the left), He came really close to the wall, but changed direction. It seems within possible powers, seeing that the wheels turn, too - but I'm still not 100% sure.

just rest assured you're not alone, i'm in the same school of thought.
If my wheels are in the grass 99% of the time it's accidental.

Only cause of the drop I can think of it,is the curb hitting.

Yes, I thought it was the rumble-strip that made that drop, which is why I ignored it.

Chris' close-point was simply still withing the possible grip of the car, and a drop is not noticable...


So both are clean, on my second check.

German requires you to capitalize anything that's solid (forgot the name for it).

Was'nt going to post mine because I was not happy with my time and did'nt think it was even worth it.
