Arcade? Check. Good-looking car? Check (Though the purple one looks better). Good-handing car? Check. Fun track? Check. Bad for me? Check (Because of my weakness in Racecars @ Technical tracks).

I'm gonna race my butt off this week 👍

cyril, great combo. also great to see you're still running wrs despite all nonsense going on. i'll submit before saturday since i'll be in your neighbourhood from then on for a week.

any chance of an ETA for the updated hall of fame please?

THIS has been EXACTLY what I've been waiting for. Basically the perfect combination. 2nd only to the Formula GT at Suzuka in my mind. Can't wait to try it out, in about 2 hours when I get back..

Woohoo! Arcade race car that I can easily access, track I know pretty well = excellent!
Just one minor drawback. I'm in Boston, MA and my PS2 is at home in California! Bugger. :(
Hopefully I'll get time for a crack at it over the weekend, and I'll make sure I get a "read-receipt" this time for my PM submission that I'm going to send 3 times to make sure it gets there!! :P :D Look out for them Cyril! ;) Just kidding I'll only send it once!
See you guys at the finish line! 👍

here's something to fill the empty board with, colb:

39.087 - 1.20.573

thought i knew my way around this track, but apparently only in non-reverse. the braking points for the real corners are difficult to identify. luckily the car is very forgiving. i find that using all aids make the car behave nice and oversteery so as to better take the corners.

probably crappy t-times but it's a start. good luck chasing!

Just ran a quick session to see how this thing handles, not bad Cyril. 👍

T1 0'38.440
T2 1'18.996

Plenty more to come I reckon as I only did five laps. :D

Edit: Nearly forgot. No aids and gearing was stock too, needs adjusting though.

Darren.

hmm looks like im staying another week in tokyo

fresh off GC cup competition, although it was forward

Erm? I must've forgotten to put my NSX on a diet earlier, I've just managed to smash my other lap times?

T1 0'35.957
T2 1'12.448 Then managed to completely stuff up the only corner between T2 and the finish! :grumpy:

Still plenty of time for improvement. No aids and 310 gearing.

Darren.

With only TCS and 340 gear i pulled a 36.xxx and 1.14.xxx Not in front of it right now so I don't know the exact. Haven't tried it without TCS yet though. This will be my first week competing. I don't even know what division I'm in yet though, because I just sent in my qualifier yesterday.

Thought id race the WRS this week to thank Cyril for all his hard work. While i havnt been particepating in the WRS much over the past year i have still been watching. I have raced in the WRS under all 4 admins so far and Cyril has done the WRS proud. 👍

Some splits from me so far. Starting to get somewhere but god only knows how fast these really are since its been so long since i played this game. Could be fast for me but slow to everyone else :dopey:

34.590
1'10.326

BTW runing 330kph top speed. I really do like this combo as it has hardly any understeer.

Will aim to shave off another .3 - .5 on the final before im getting proud of the lap, that is until dan shows up and shows me just how far off the pace i am

BTW the G25 is very nice with GT4 ;)

Nice! Will get a start on this in just a bit... Now to learn Tokyo Reverse... I'm not sure if I have much of any experience going this way!!!

Wow, this one's definitely a bit tougher than it would appear... Between my lack of knowledge this way around, my 27" TV without an S-Video cable(never seemed to be a hindrance really), and the tendencies of an overpowered race car, this is going to take a while!

Just started to get some clean laps in, sloppy, but clean, and gradually picking up the pace. I'll need to grab my glasses before I continue this race later on this week...

So for now:
35.867
1'12.196

Here's a tip... Try to not use full throttle all the time, it will just push into the walls... Lol. Seriously though, back off on the throttle just a tad and it'll follow through much nicer. You can also use this to maintain more speed through the turns, which is where a LOT of time is going to be made up this week. Throttle control... And being able to see the track. Is it just me, or is this actually harder to see where you're going than normal? My eyes could be tired, I've been up longer than normal today... So that's probably adding to it, actually.

Great race selection Cyril. 👍
Also, nice time shockwaveracing. 👍
I can't wait to get home from school to try this out.
Back later today I hope, until then...

Well i just after i ran this lap i found shockwave's T1 - T2 secret trick...

34.382
1'09.845 (lost .3 in corner after the flat out S bends)

Plus a little trick i found just before T2 i should be able to match shockwaves splits..

Unfortantly compared to my best i lost .2 in last sector also.

Well im guessing, for the left hand turn before T2 you rode up on the kerbs just near the wall, this gives you a train rail type grip and you can really go fast, then your so far on the left of the track you can take the right kink so fast, then cross T2 with heaps of speed.

well sorta, but i didnt think i was going through it that quick to be honest, the problem i found doing that was that the rear can step out quite easily so you have to be careful through there...... it is a lovely car/track combo this week,, flows fairly well when not playing dodgem cars...

33.897
1'08.767

changed to 340 gearing (small fryz idea) was using 330 gearing but am quicker now with 340... probably another 02-0.3 left on the track now...

I was using 330 as well. With the 340, does this mean you guys are dropping into second at all? Or more likely just maintaining more speed throughout... ? 👍

Yeah, and on the long left sweeper before that it works as well(can't ride it the whole time, but late apexing on the inside rumble), I just have almost no control to get it all timed right. Maybe with more time.

Awesome, thanks! The taller gearing might make it easier to control as well as keep it in the powerband a bit longer on the main "straight".
