Just ran an hour on this to get aquainted and so far my best save has ...

34.268 / 1'09.455

Trying like hell to get close to Shockwave at T1 but I can't do it I reckon :ouch: another .1 for me at T1 possibly ... I knew the DS2 would struggle on this track against the wheel as its so flowing :grumpy: ... but I still wanna just ask if Shockwave is running R4's and not R5's? :P
no offence mate! ... just cant get over that T1 as mines looks pretty solid 👍

none taken mate :) ... just checked my best lap replay and i am definitely using Racing Soft tyres... 👍

Year i agree with that, i checked the data logger on my best lap. Only to notice that there was lots of tiny little dips (-0.2 miles an hour) in my run where im steering a little bit on a straight(DS2). Where as with a DFP that shouldn't be a problem but i maybe wrong.

how different can a track be in reverse from forward?
well you try tokyo and you will find out.
meh. and i thought i knew the track a bit ...
anyways, saved from disgrace after a few laps:

38.830 - 1.17.417

and prob 2 more to come off after 20 more laps.
almost feels like a churn ... 👍

Thanks for checking Shockwave ;) all I can say to that is awesome mate 👍

I ran a few more laps but dropped from 340 to 330 autoset and got a faster lap pretty quickly ... but still way off the splits that Shockwave has set :P

my new save has 34.111 / 1'09.210 and took .1+ off at the line, will try some more later after work 👍

.839 1'08.252 using 330 top speed
drift first corner in 2nd

shift at maximum revs, drift first corner in 2nd

knew it wouldnt last long... that T1-T2 split is howling along there Dan... my T2 target was a 1'08.5, which i think i can achieve but a 1'08.2 is staggering...

T1 – 0'34.968
T2 – 1'10.234

It’s nothing significant in terms of the leaderboard, but my final sector was 0.4 better. :D I’ll be pretty much happy if I get another 0.2 or 0.3.

thanx mate. i also had a really sweet finishing left hander that is pretty hard to repeat, particularly on fast hot lap like this lap was, so i was pretty stoked with the final lap time:)

After another 20 laps I began to figure out some issues... 330 is the way to go, thanks for the input.

34.813
1'10.476

Great lap Dan 👍 and managed to drift the last corner once on one of my hot laps. Came into the corner and i knocked it down to second by mistake, :embarrassed: hit the gas and upto third. The nsx went round like a dream side ways just hitting the curb on the exit. I did a lap with a T2 of 1'10.191 (last turn normal) and a T2 of 1'10.338 (drifted last turn), gained .246 on the other over the line. Iv Blitzed that lap now thou :dopey:

Did some laps to accompany Cyril's last organised weekly races.

35.146
1'10.884
No drifting for me,the drifts that sometimes happen, all end up in the wall.

Cool combo.👍

I tried it without any aids, but the walls are just always there. Very hard to pull off a completely clean lap. I pulled a few high 34 T1 times without aids though, probably because you pull a couple car lengths on a ghost car on the front straight using aids.

With aids on and 330 gearing, manual
35.121
1'10.644

About 15 min is all I can manage so far this week guys, sorry...here they are tho:
T1 - :34.746
T2 - 1:10.247 (easily manage another .4-.5 here if I get another chance to race)

This is one of my fav car OAT and a great track too, nice Cyril!

Tried to mess around with drifting. But I think I';; wait until later to mess around with that.

35.169
1'10.996

Easily .3 sec slower in the 1st sector alone than my normal, but just couldn't make the rest of it clean enough to catch my T2. Even though I did a few times, only to hit the wall on the last corner...

I should be able to shave a few more tenths since I already got a 34.2 a few times at T1...

Best so far is:

0'34.541
1'09.415

Edit: update

0'34.437
1'09.325

Was able to get 0'34.1xx and 1'08.9xx unclean where I lost time, so I hope to get it again soon

I wonder if anyone is able to flat out the first right after the hairpin in the first sector? I have to tap the break just slightly. I made it once and got so stoked I botched the next corner.

I tried again today, went a little faster. One thing makes me happy is I saw
a 1:10:0xx at T2, it was dirty but I think I can get a high 1:09 if try a little more:).

Jason i do that corner with out using the brakes and if you get the line right, a little lift off the gas(half off) does the trick :)

I can do that right hander full throttle as long as all the aids are on. I don't understand how you guys are driving the thing without aids. I've tried it and its just so much slower around turns like the double left hander.

When I try the half lift/no brake approach I feel like I am too slow. I usually keep the throttle down and over lap a slight tap of the brake. I will keep trying your suggestion though. I know it is faster, just much harder for me to attain. Your T times are awesome, by the way...

I have been thinking about trying driving aids, but haven't done it yet. I keep thinking of the Aliens and their no driving aids thing. There's definitely something to it, so I keep trying!

Oh and that Double left hander is a pain. But wait, I can think of 2 more corners that I still don't understand... I am trying hard to look further ahead. Sometimes my field of vision gets narrow :dunce:

Jason how are you taking the first corner cos iv found a nice way witch is faster than what i was doing before. Just not been able get a fast clean lap in. It kinda goes like this at the mo, tap the wall restart.....tap the wall restart........ tap the wall restart and so on.

Im going down the straight hitting the brakes just as i go under the bridge. Down in to second while turning in at the end. Hit the power and its starts to turn even sharper than i can steer and your off and stay off the curb too ;)

I actually feel fast in the first turn. Not very different from what you are doing. I took Dans advice on dropping it down to 2nd to induce a slide to get me pointed in the right direction.

I stay as close to the left rail after that so I can take the (brake tap) right hander. I don't think I have the skill to take it flat-out but I am determined to try...

Got some new splits but not much time off thou. Im a bit gutted cos i did a T2 of 1'09.37# after just hitting the wall twice out of the corner before. And its a tenth faster than my best clean lap. :(

T1: 34.426
T2: 1.09.376

I am finally getting the hang of the DFP, after going through all the S-licences and having a play about with it on the Nürburgring, it's all coming together a bit more :D . After a total of 5 hours of DFP usage and 25 laps on this combo I blasted my old splits.
T1 - 35.506
T2 - 1'10.775

Still yonks behing any form of D1 life, but I'm new to DFP
