Well as expected, some very close results and once again I've had to move the cut-offs into quarter-second increments. We've also managed to make a mockery of the Gold/Silver/Bronze cut-offs provided by Polyphony for this Licence Test :sly: Congrats to all winners (even Hugo who pipped me for my first victory ;)) now let's get the lead out down at Trial Mountain 👍

Week 83 Results:

Quick guide to replay checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are COM/COM and that the power is 89 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle

Here's my replay.

As a sidenote, this week I found another one of Microsoft Excel's limits, they don't allow comboboxes with more than about 500 entries:

Colby - 1
Microsoft - 0

:sly: 👍

Yay finally finished this week of terrible TCS and ASM.

Anyway here's a replay.

Damn beaten by one d2 person this week. I would have played more tonight but my neck and head are extremely sore after juping in a doorway and hitting my head and blacking out for a few seconds.

congrats to hugo, mini and friend metar with their golds.
colby, how long can we keep him in div3? he's absolute div2 material.
i don't mind my bronze this week - if i even can't get the gold barrier what good am i then? now on to 84. and i WILL put more effort into the pic battle.

Its a good question Steven but most of Metar's results would still be Bronze in Div 2 so moving up may still be a tad early. It also leaves Div 3 a bit empty :) What are your thoughts Metar, are you itching for a move?

Thanks for checking my lap too zdenko 👍

What do you think my vote was on the poll? :sly: (<Colby's smilie<)The last sector was probably the most important, but I didn't think I did well though it. It's almost anti-ironic that I won, I can't think of the word for it. Coincidence?

Anyway, I wasn't as addicted as I thought I'd be, but I did have tons of fun while the actual race was going on, I think I'll try to gold all the B tests this week.

It has some appeal, fighting against the upper guys... It'd also speed me up, since the requirements, even for a silver, would be much higher. With the current competition (except for the now-gone MINICOOPER), I can beat it after a session or two, so afterwards, it gets boring...

MK1
Proof that the last sector is everything, congratulations Metar 👍

Yep. Last on the splits, but somehow I made up 0.6 on the last sector

Will get the replay after getting the Corvette C2 racecar.

Hugo Boss!?! Competing in an event?! Well done man!

His won the last 2 and he won week 79 as well.

Well done Hugo on the win mate

👍 too the other division winners also!!.

Thanks, guys! I'm looking forward to your visit David :sly:

Congrats to MiniCooper120 (wrong car??:P ) and Gingiba! Sharp times

Too bad you lost it in the last section, Colby. The braking during the last corner killed you... Still a very fast lap! Just checked it, along with Zdenko's replay. Both clean 👍

Btw, what happened to GPKart? Didn't he submit?

Congrats Minicooper120 (and all other division winners). I have to run to work so I won't be posting my replay for another 9 hours.
BTW - what happened in photomode competition ? Metar said he sent a PM to the winner. Was there a change ?

Nice run Mike! See you managed to pip me out of 2nd as well... :grumpy: :P Nice to see a D3er on top of D2 again... :P Good job rounding out the golds there Jake!

And Hugo, tsk tsk, taking Colby's fame... Maybe someday Colby! Maybe someday... Second's not too bad, lol.

And man, I was just looking at the New Drivers thread at people who've signed up in the past two months, so many of them are missing?! :( Thanks for rounding out D3 there Metar... :) If only there were more people participating in D3 you might have some more competition...

I am going to pay WRS a visit in December. Hugo, get ready (yeah right!!).
Sweet! I'll be waiting as well... To chase your tail around the track, that is.

I would have played more tonight but my neck and head are extremely sore after juping in a doorway and hitting my head and blacking out for a few seconds.
:dunce: Ouch! Sorry to hear that man!

Good thing I haven't given the Maxdrive back to Pat yet... :sly:

Edit: wrong replay...

Jake has been checked and deemed clean! Very nice lap there man, very smooth indeed. Turns out your last turn is what did you in, you used the brakes(shaving off speed sooner) and came to the inside a bit instead of just letting off the gas and letting the car gradually scrub of speed. Tis a shame though, as the rest of the lap was absolutely beautiful. 👍

I didn't - and it earned me a whole 0.6 on the competition...

And I think the PM thingy was a typo - I meant that I sent Colby the PM with the winner - congrats for the win, though. I really liked the composition, but if it was a tad brighter, it would've been perfect.

Congrats with the win, Hugo. Amazing time. 👍

Also congrats to all the golds in div 2. Competition is tougher than ever. 👍

And also congrats to Gingiba with his his division win.

My PAL replay:

Or both, I also exited pretty early, with minimal TCS. Infact, I only lost 0.1 compared to Ren-Tec on T2-finish...

I knew I botched the last turn. But I didn't realize other racers weren't braking there. I am used to braking with the more powerful cars so it just carried over. Oh well. I thought I would do better this week... :boggled:

Yeah... It wasn't until the last second that I raced, and even the last second of my racing that I got something that wouldn't have been a silver time. Fastest lap before that was a .336 or something, and before that I was stuck in the .4xxs for a long time.

Btw, what happened to GPKart? Didn't he submit?

I think he indicated in the main thread he wasn't gonna submit, the splits he posted were from his GTRP time I believe and he wasn't gonna have time to redo it.

As for that last corner, I couldn't get it right without a little brakes, thanks for checking it too 👍 I'll beat you one day.....one day! :sly:

OK thanks, I missed that then...

And you were already faster at T2, next step is at the finish line! That will come one day ;)

Wow! I couldn't submit my in time so I didn't make it this week. Oh well, my 1:26.397 would only be good for a silver in my division. I'm anxious to check out Hugo Boss's video (any idea what program I need BTW, please PM me if you can). Also, was wondering if the fast guys are using the PS2 controller or the DFP steering wheel?

Congrats to all the winners, this was a tough competition.

Wow, this was a so/so race this week, look at the range of votes in the poll, 1(how could you ;)) 4, 4, 4, 4. Pretty good, although I thought it was great fun.
