I had said that the thread title "Back on Duty" was related to me, but it seems that all the big guns took it personally. I can't believe the amount of laps that have been run this week and how close the results are. Big congrats to all of you for having put that much effort in that race.
And congrats to Dan who wins overall (after 3 submissions :D), to James for a fantastic D2 time, and to DJ Baker for leading the pack in D3.

Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Unofficial" and will become "Official" when all posted replays have been checked. After 7 days, any racers achieving a Gold time who do not provide a replay will have their lap disqualified.

Special:
In addition to gold times, all times under 1'18.000 are expected to provide a replay 👍.

Quick guide to replay checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are RM/RM and that the power is 300 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle

Yeah, not DLBF :D

One hell of a battle going on in Div1 there, that's for sure. A last-minute win for Dan, a last-minute 2nd-place by Hugo... And 4 golds, all very close... Top racing, guys! Div2 is great, too... James swept the field clean :P

Replay for me & the special guest coming up!

EDIT: Here they are. Both PAL...

Yes! I'm only 1 second behind the leader, one of my better showings, I wish this race could have been for this week with no holidays I only had a few hours to play, but it was sweet indeed! Nice time boyzzz!

Hi all, due to 11 hours in emergency room on new year! i could not get my times up in time! i hope i will get some time on this weeks race.

BTW, got my maxdrive today! and have a quick question, can i only have one gamedata on memorycard? because it is auto loading when startup? or is there any other way to load another one up?

/sesim

sorry guys, thought my lap was clean, but unfortunately i had a tiny little 3 wheels off on the 4th corner... will still post a replay coz i see all times under 1'18 have to submit but it is a dirty lap i am afraid... :(

ah well on to the last race... will get back on it later, am going back to bed now...

Awesome results and I'm glad to see no 1'16 in there even though it was doable 👍 Congrats to all who managed a clean one on this technical yet very enjoyable combo

Here's my replay which was saved as a session, simply because the lap I had previous of a 1'17.134 had a tiny 3 wheel off incident :( and luckily enough I had just restarted again when I got this one in on lap 1 and saved it as a session otherwise I couldn't save it at all :)

Good Race and very sweet battles all over the Division's
Congrats to all
Ron.

Some sweet times from the Div 1 guys!!

Congrats to all the winners in each division :)

I'm quite happy with the 1st silver in Div 2 and there was some close battles there too, nice job Angelcreator with a time worthy of Div 1 👍

Now I know I'm not required to post a replay but I will do anyway, it's in NTSC and don't anyone laugh at my ultra slow hairpin towards T2 :P

Fun race, I'll be back...

Sweet! My 2nd Gold, & this time I can provide proof. :) Finally figured out how to make my MaxDrive work. :dunce: Wouldn't work with my MaxMemory 64MB memory card. Go figure. :boggled: Picked up a regular 8MB memory card & now the MaxDrive works like a charm.

Congrats to everyone that threw down some impressive lap times. I wanted to get under 1'20, but it wasn't happening. Major respect to all those that did! 👍

By the way Gingiba, how young is your little sister? At 4'13.563 at least her tires will last forever. :sly:

Or else she stayed in first gear all the way through. :D
My son (aged 8) could run slow div3 times (well, he would if only he had enough time to play), but my daughter (almost 5) would probably achieve such laptimes.

another silver, good.
but wtf? i beat #last in div2 and div1 ??? what was brad doing when he did his submitted lap? high on grass or som'? :)
anyway, congrats to all golds and all other superfast incredible laptimes. also very nice all of you turned up as soon as cyril re-entered?

Well done to all that got gold, you did a great job 👍
Here is my replay of my lap which was the best i could do :(

Congratulations to all the winners 👍

Wish I had had more time to do this. Left Peru yesterday just after midnight and turned my first laps about 24 hours later barely able to keep my eyes open, and gave up an hour later. Looking at the final times I guess I should have submitted my 1:19:xxx lap, which in the end was a lot more respectable than I thought it would be from the splits leaderboard where I was second to last.

Looks like this coming week is a slippery beast as well. :scared:

1'17.074 kart.38
1'17.104 hOt
1'17.107 holl
1'17.196 Hugo
1'17.243 Mr.P

now that is a great WRS result ~ 1'16's woulda been possible with more time on 220 i'd think

This is my first win in div2(I think), so I'm very happy about it:D.
I did have a 1:18:004 I was going to send in but I didn't know what
time's other people had so I tried again to get a faster lap time.
Glad I did, anyways here is my replay for this week. Hope to do
well in this week's race as well.

Edit:
I checked Mr P, Lotus350 and DJ Baker's replays and there all clean:tup:.
But one thing about Mr P's replay, first it's a normal replay, not a ghost.
And he had a close call too. But still a clean lap:).

Yeah James, your seventh in div one! Good job every one. Hopefully I'll be able to race this week. And I get to pick the photocomp winner this week to. Cool:D. Later's.

Sammy.:D

Well, my sister is 12 - but this wasn't one of her best laps. She was watching me, and asked if she could try. After her lap, she asked if I could submit it as well... It was her first time playing any driving-games, and because of the wheelspin this week, she took 4th-5th gear only. An hour after the deadline she got a 3'40 in a regular roadcar, with a 3rd of the Xsara's HP, though.

1'17.074 kart.38
1'17.104 hOt
1'17.107 holl
1'17.196 Hugo
1'17.243 Mr.P

I used 230, I thought that 220 gears gave too much wheel spin.

I used 230, I thought that 220 gears gave too much wheel spin.

220 gears gave too much wheelspin if you went back to 3rd, or if you were injudicious with the throttle in 4th.

It was a case of "swings and roundabouts" really, both 220 and 230 had their advantages and it ended up being a personal comfort choice for most racers.

Congratulations to everyone who submitted, as well as the div winners. It was very close for all positions this week. For myself, I was happy that despite being about .6 down at the second split, I was only .7 off the fastest time at the line.

Swings and roundabouts again. :)

Great times from all racers this week.

I forgot to submit, not that it really mattered. My time was only good enough for a low Div2 Silver.

But one thing about Mr P's replay, first it's a normal replay, not a ghost.
And he had a close call too. But still a clean lap:).

Yep, that's allowed too.
Not really easy to check when the fast lap is the 13th lap in the session (it already happened), but as efficient as a ghost replay when it's the first lap.
But the big point is that it makes it possible to save a fast lap when you have a faster but dirty lap in the same session, which was the case with Ron I guess.

My Replay below.

I have also uploaded the 1'17.078 for anyone who is interested.

Thanks! :D

Prolly won't get a chance to run this week's race since I'll be driving from Detroit to Phoenix for the rest of the Winter. If I get everything set up out there before the deadline, I'll give it a shot. Good Luck & Good Racing!

I used 230 initially and tried 220 just to see how it was as I wasn't using all of 6th gear and I stayed with it because 220 will give the car more torque to exit the turns on the track and like someone mentioned before, the car tops out JUST as I enter turn one but the same moment it tops out I would begin braking anyway so really it was win/win imo.
