GT4 WRS Week 89: Official Results

I would like to apologise to all WRS members for the delay in getting these result to you. I hope the times are all correct, but I'm sure you'll let me know about it if they aren't. As for replay requests, only gold times are requested for this one. Congrats to Ren-Tec, revelli and inferno for their division wins, and to the remaining podium places.

Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. After 7 days, any racers achieving a Gold time who do not provide a replay will have their lap disqualified.

Quick guide to replay checking:

1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Sports-Soft and that the power is 710 hp
2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle

like i mentioned in the PM i sent to Sphinx, before i spent a few weeks away from the WRS, i removed everything off the memory card so that i could start the whole game again whilst i was out of town (was about the only bit of entertainment i had)

it basically means there is no genuine way to verify my lap time, and at Sphinx's discretion he can decide whether to leave my time in the results as is or to give it a DQ...

either way is fine with me, and i apologise to all for this minor inconvenience...


and on a lighter note congrats to all the winners, especially Dan for a great lap time...

Since shockwaveracing doesn't have replay and holl01's replay is slightly dirty (but a great lap overall regardles of this tiny mistake) it seems I could technickly win this one even with silver time...

Never the less I'll vote to trust shockwaveracing about his laptime... He deserves it...

i agree that andrew would deserve it but jerry will (and should) prolly decide against it since it concerns one of the few very fundamental rules in our racing kindergarten thingy.

the sphinx will be wise enough to make the right decision

It's a tough call to make. I believe it would be easier for me if I decided to leave things as they are and ignore the missing replays. However, we do have rules that require us to submit replays when required. Although it took some time for the results to be published, I don't believe this should warrant a lapse in the rules. I will therefore opt for the harder option and treat this like any other WRS results thread and apply the rules accordingly.
