Hope you've all been preparing yourselves for this one. I know Brad will groan but it's back to the Ring for my penultimate race. Car is easy to drive and so you shouldn't struggle for cleanliness...good luck đź‘Ť

Me likey... :mischievous:

I always wanted a Nurb race for me to try, now's my chance.

Let this post be a reminder to me so that I DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS!!!
I don't think I've driven the ASL very much, we'll see how I do with it, now that I know when every turn is coming up by heart. ;)

Wow, when I saw this challenge up, I thought I missed the deadline.... But I see I have a few more hours at least.

I'll surely do poorly at this, because I hardly know the ring, and I know for sure I've never driven that car! But just like the competition in Sarthe, I know I'll probably be a better driven when it's done, so that's great. đź‘Ť

oi... the only track in GT4 that i have not been able to come to reasonable grips with. but i shal not fret. week 89 helped me master la sarthe, let us hope that this week will force me to master the ring.

Just did a lap, and this car is a bit happy in the tail bt quite controllable. Never liked the ring, but this a long drive!

first clean try of the week in a certainly slow but reconnaissant pace. all aids are on this week for me which means slow but more certain steering. again colby picked a nice car/ptw/tyre combo this week, tho it might be known that the track is not one of my favvies (maybe more so after this week) đź‘Ť

how are we to post our times this week? 11 t-times will be tough to handle for the luxy updaterers. i'd say t3-6-9? just like in week 50.

2.09.936 - 4.33.920 - 6.49.837

please dont laugh - i did that myself already :dopey:

Oh! The ASL... The perfect thing for tackling the Nurb'.

Oh! DREs. The worst thing that could happen on such a week. I'll try to borrow my friend's disk...

EDIT: Ah, es ist gut, wieder am geliebten 'Ring zu fahren.
DRE stopped, and I got through!

Leaderboard Initialized.
That is certainly "Reconnaissant", Steven... I'm on my first lap, and already 2'00 on T3...

First impressions: Car is a joy to drive - no understeer, enough grip, but not too much. Gearing is a bit of a pain, and the sound is a bit bland, but it looks awsome. A little downforce could help the car, since on many sweepers, it's got just a little insufficient grip to pass them full throttle - drifts (which are easilly initiated) are what I use here.

EDIT2: I improved by 4 seconds (by T7) already, but I let my attention slip for a second before the Kleine Karussel and ran wide :irked:
Wonderful car. I've already got a goal time this week, I'm sure any half-decent driver will be 10 seconds quicker than it...

Tried 5 laps, pretty nice car but that's probably all I'll do.

1'56.531/4'06.257/6'07.599

Yo Patt! Long time dude  I've heard you've been running the ring here and there, I'll try and give this one a go later.

Exactly why I don't run here anymore, all you new guys making us old schoolers look slow.

Just gave it a shakedown lap to see where i stand. first step this week, figure out which way all the turns go. after that it shouldnt be that hard. to get a clean fast lap. already liking thes combo allot.

I actualy went off before T3, and let it coast a bit before getting back into the throttle sinse i figured the lap was lost, and i still got a 2'06 at t3. haha i hope i do well this week.

[EDIT]
no aids, ss tires all around, i've been thinking sm/ss might be better but i'm not sure. ss all around works for me. i like the driftyness.

Pff, you were always "slow". The real old schoolers are still fast when they poke there heads in... Check out week 86? or was it 85? or was it 87? or was it 88? I dunno. Every once and a while they stick their heads in, and are fast...

You? You're just slow.

Meanwhile, I had my first go at this... and WOW, I've NEVER had a submittable lap on the ring my first lap!!! So, I got excited, and had to post.

T3: 2'00.2xx
T6: something
T9: 6'17.xxx

LOTS more time to come off, so I won't post my real splits until later.

Bigracer, do yourself a favor, have some faith in yourself, and go at it without any aids!!!

This car's a real easy drive around the ring... As long as you can keep the tail in check, be smooth, don't downshift more than you need to, it's nice. I don't think you need to use second anywhere, and only use 3rd for the real slow stuff.

Hahaha, nice loser smiley...

But, I'm currently down to a 6'08.5xx T3... Also with a 1.56.5 T3. And I've only completed 3 laps to your 5...?

ok i'll give up some splits.

T3: 2'03.685
T6: 4'20.664
T9: 6'33.830

no offs this time so i'm officialy to the point of trying to find just how far i can push it. i'm hoping to knock off maby ten seconds. haha

Trying to make yourself feel better because you have NEVER been faster than me? Kind of like punching yourself in the face isn't it? :dunce:

Oh MAN this is a MASSIVE adrenaline rush. AWESOME race this week Colby, and thanks for dropping in Pat, I love me some competition... Especially with your old ass.

Trying to make yourself feel better because you have NEVER been faster than me? Kind of like punching yourself in the face isn't it? :dunce:
When have we had a competition? And, it's almost like you're losing this one... :sly:

T3: 1'56.012(should've been a 1'55.5xx if I didn't mess up twice...)
T6: 4'05.188
T9: 6'07.627...

And yeah, it's about exactly that close at the line as well... đź‘Ť

EDIT: That run's dirty... As I went on after T9, I have a slight off where I get a third wheel in the grass by a hair... Darn. :)

New splits

T3: 2'02.224
T6: 4'17.609
T9: 6'27.717

and a new problem to contest this week, driver fatigue.

after only three laps total, my thumb already hurts from holding down the gas. haha.

I'm liking this. The ASL Gary-ooyah is a grippy wee 🤬, and I'm only 2 secs down on the D1 guys*! I'm happy with that!

T3: 1'56.562
T6: 4'06.136
T9: 6'09.829

* So far....

I will deffo be giving this a try, love the Nurb, it all depends on how the car handles to me.

Wouldn't want to spoil you daan
tongue.gif

and I couldn't have Kyle in front of my splits

1'55.926
4'04.328
6'05.810

You'll love it Kel đź‘Ť

Edit: for the leaderboard... I'm using the DS2

Edit#2:

1'55.682
4'04.746
6'06.289

Blew the turn just before T5 leading onto the long straight, but it was a faster lap overall.

(Main street in front of my apartment complex, it's closed at the moment...)

I'll see to it that I stay ahead of your splits... :P

It's been awhile since I ran in the WRS but after playing a little GTHD I decided to give this a go.

t1: 47.707
t2: 1'24.995
t3: 1'56.079
t4: 2'50.593
t5: 3'33.024
t6: 4'04.977
t7: 4'59.256
t8: 5'43.094
t9: 6'06.948

The only way I'll be able to submit a replay is if someone here at GTP has a PS3 and GT4 that would look at it. Would that work? My old ps2 hates the max drive disk.

T3 - 1:55,294
T6 - 4:04,301
T9 - 6:06,848

Not bad for a quick session...
ASL is slightly underpowered for my taste...
+20 on power would have been great... but well rules are rules...

This is a FUN little car. I'm still leaving a lot on the track (came up out of the Carousel for instance thinking those Sport Softs were a bit grippier than they are), but it looks like all those hours with Mission 34 just might pay off :D

T3 - 1:59.598
T6 - 4:11.142
T9 - 6:16.549
