(WRS PhotoMode Winner is...Kelvari 👍)

Well done to everyone who kept with this one, she was a tough one for sure, even though on first impressions it didn't look too bad. :sly:
Congrats to kart.no.38, FinaL ExaM and inferno for their division wins, and to all the remaining podium places. Well done all. 👍 👍 👍

Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Unofficial" and will become "Official" when all posted replays have been checked. After 7 days, any racers achieving a Gold time who do not provide a replay will have their lap disqualified.

Please Note:
Whilst I encourage all drivers to continue submiting their non-requested replays every week, only Gold times are required for verification and one random replay request from each division. This weeks random selections are rmk700, jake73 and Bigracer.

Quick guide to replay checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing-Super Hard and that the power is 382 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle

CRAP! I thought I had another day...
Ah well, I wasn't doing too well in this anyway, maybe this will be another one of those races where I do it again later when I have time, and don't like the current combo.

well done to kart.no.38, FinaL ExaM and inferno for some very quick racing, and where is Dan lurking with his bolter of a lap... ah well here is my replay...

oh and nice work Toffe and FinaL ExaM on fluking the exact same time, not often ya see something like that...👍

Well done to Kart38, Finalexam and Inferno for there division wins 👍

I never got back around to racing on this since last week, I did have a 1'35.5xx with a tiny touch on the last section so it was there for me with effort ... here's my clean PAL replay anyway!
Cya's at the forest
Ron.

Nice job posting the results so quickly! 👍

Congrats on the promotion inferno! It's been fun chasing you.

What happened to Kelvari, Yellerbelly, & all the new D3 drivers? It's lonely at the bottom. :sly:

Thanks for the quick results, nice work everyone. Great combo this week even though I couldn't muster much of a time. Again too much lockup under braking and not gentle enough with my accelerator inputs. Spent a lot of time sliding the nose around and losing time. Never did get Turn 1 straightened out.

My bad! Between all the schoolwork I've had, I forgot to submit my times!:dunce: I'll try harder to remember next week, though. Gomen, ne!:scared:

At any rate, though, I'm VERY surprised my pic won the contest

Some idiot forgot to add the poll to this results thread. :dopey:

Sorry guys. :grumpy:

It's not addable? Oh well, no worries.

Anywho, CONGRATS to the top guys, freaking flying, for all of you in your divisions...

I ended up spending more time on this than I had planned and couldn't put crap together!

My goal was only 1'36.5, but I was seeing times that added up to only 1'36.250! And, I had one clean lap of 1'37.012 that I deliberately took easy to just get something to submit. Tokyo sure can be a beeyatch when scraping for the last little bit!

replay attached, there is a tiiight moment at the end of the lap on the final stretch but I looked at it in photomode and it seems to be ok :nervous:

 I won Div 2?? I was totally expecting a few guys to drive around me there.

Doesn't matter anyway really. I only won by default because Lotus350 was too drunk to get a clean lap before the deadline:) . I bet he was running at 1'36.2 or something. What was your time there dude??

Completely astounding times by the Division 1 guys. As soon as I pick my jaw up off the ground I'll start trying to figure out how Mr P ran so fast with a Dual Shock 2

Thanks for the place to compete everybody. I'll see you all at Deep Forest 👍

Congrats to all on a great race. Too bad I couldn't give it more time. I am out of town so I will submit my replay as soon as I get home this Sunday.

I loaded up Holl01, Sjaak and Kart's replays. Results:

One corrupted.

One is a 2'03.307 lap of the Civic Si Motul Racecar @ GVS (PTPG Challenge 4). Who was it, the both of you? I suspect it was Dan's, because the XPS to MAX conversion probably went wrong somewhere.

And one, Sjaak's, is suspicious. The left-hander after T1 has a weird reaction coming near the wall, and it's a lot of effort checking it out, seeing as I need to restart the PS2 every time I finish watching the part I need (DREs gone worse - after every lap/session). Will be back with a final sentence soon.

This is might be my first desquilify in a race :banghead: just after a much closer look I think my lap is not clean... :ouch:

Here is my replays, the submited is the first one but I'm sharing my frustration at this combo :ouch: :ouch: :ouch: :ouch: :ouch: :ouch:

I'm still not sure. I took some photos to shed some light on this matter, and they just made it more complicated. I did, however, see no touch with the wall - yet the reaction of the car is still very unusual.

I'll get the photos up once the PC gets strong enough to handle these. Probably tomorrow...

Well,I'm not at all near the wall so in my opinion the only one that is suspicious is Santa.:dopey:

The car gets a lift of the rumble, that's all.

I finally was enlightened, and decided to switch off the thing showing a virtual DFP rather than the G-meter. And since that one moves just like it should while jumping off the rumble, I think it's 100% clean. And just to be sure, I took an Amemiya RX-7 out there and ran it against the wall. Unlike Monaco, this wall has it's limits where they should be.

Yeah I was a bit gutted at not being able to improve and get a clean lap in time:grumpy: As it goes my last section was utter rubbish I lost a shed load of time and my lap was a 1'37.2 so you would have beaten me anyway 👍

And for the record, it's dudette ;)

This was my fastest lap:

13.826
53.675
TF: 1'37.090

My problem though, my guess about it being dirty was right, I had a minor "wall grazing" on the second right hander of the whole post-T2 area. Oh well.

She would have to divorce me first :P .... and who would wash my socks and boxers then :scared:

hahaha :sly: 👍

LOL!! She's your wife?? That must be awesome. My girlfriends all hate my preoccupation with video games. Maybe it's just the fact that I never clean my house up before they come over.... or my ass

good race (not great for me), and very good performance by the division winners. congrats! and finally that kelvari guy is gone: good :) 'cos he was no div3 material at all from the start 👍
