Almost. That's true for all recently registered drivers, but in the early weeks, more than 20 racers submitted in each division so not everybody could score points. Some people raced at that time and never scored.Casio

Although, that seems silly when you think about it. I thought my points would have been reset when I got promoted. It's still done on a 8 week rotation right?
No reset : you're being promoted with your current points count.
The points system is made so that the #1 div2 racer gets as many points as the #5 in div 1. When you are promoted, you don't have to climb up the whole ranking again : instead you enter the top half of the board and your challenge is to stay there.
And it's normal that you're ahead of Dion since you submitted 7 times over the past 8 weeks and he only submitted 3 times.

You're not
as far as I know 
There used to be a table explaining how the points were distributed, but I removed it when I moved to a MySQL database.
If you take a look at any week results you'll see how the points are granted in div 1, div 2 and div 3.
I'm sorry I'm late to post results and update the board : I'm currently working 6 days /7 and away from home. I'll have a day off next wednesday, hopefully I'll be able to catch up.

I was really looking to see how many positions in each division earned points each week, since being a late starter, there's not been more than 8 submitters in my division in each week I've submitted.

One question: What is the 'Week'?
I see beside my name, my 'Week' is (+45). (http://flatout.free.fr/wrs/leaderboard.php?wk=46&dv=2)
💡 At first I thought it may be the week the driver joined the WRS, (as my first submission was on week 45), but then I see Smallhorses has (+50). We're not there yet so my theory must be wrong...
💡 Then when I view my own results (http://flatout.free.fr/wrs/driver.php?driver=268) I see I've scored points in week 45 and 46. So now I'm thinking the 'Week' column shows the first week in the eight week rotation that points are taken from. But again, Smallhorses has (+50), so that theory must be flawed too...
