Now I can measure my progress. Instead of me making a sheet with my position each week, good 'ole Cyril does the job for me, including who's better than me. + Rep...

EDIT: Had a question... Do you punish found cheaters? Are unclean submissions counted?

All DQed laps are excluded :
1) from the gold/silver/bronze calculation
2) from the official results
3) from the points in this board

Proved cheaters also have a dedicated thread in the mods forum.

But something that is obviously cheating - extra power, better tyres, or wall-riding... Doesn't this get an extra punishment?

No because it's hard to prove that it was done on purpose. Look to week 66 where Pink_the_Floyd used RM instead of the required RH tyres.
His time was DQed and that's all.
Trouble comes when it happens a second time.

Hell yeah, that's right! Now, sadly I think I'm going to be dropping from that spot next week...

Hey would you look at that, 3rd place... Not bad considering I didn't submit two weeks times, well actually, three weeks becuase one of the races was at the Ring. The other being the 'not so easy to get a clean lap' week 67. And now that I've just remembered, I submitted week 68 late.

Now that I didn't submit again, guess I'll have to make sure I do well with the NSX.

And... I've found out. That YES! I will have a PS2 in college, so I can at least be capable of racing. Depending on how much time I'll have will determine how much I'll be able to participate though. But at least I can still keep at it.

YIKES back to spot number seven after 3 holly weeks. i will NEVER again take some weeks off. hope after 71 it'll be slightly better ...
never mind, cheers to all ahead of me now. but be warned: i'll be there every week from now on (no matter how poorly i will perform) so that in no time i will not only be alltime no.1 but also for the last 8 weeks. let's see who's on top in a week or 4.

^ but you can't win because you don't have a replay device.

i'll be over you before you know it metar. so it's gonna be a consistency match between you and me the coming weeks ...

No, I'm gonna run every week from now on. Now that school started, I have a fixed schedule, with one hour every day with the label "Free/WRS Time". And it can stretch to 5 hours straight on addicting weeks like 71... It's gonna be a consistency-match, but I'll win ;). Wanna 'tar-challenge?

i'm in the restaurant business which means i'm off all mornings in an empty house. i'll take up the challenge and bring you a virtual case of beer if i'm not on top of fame before the end of october.

I'm in the school-business with parted parents, so only half a day, in only half a week contains PS2 activity... I'll bring you some Virtual Pizza, under the same conditions.

nah thanks, the israeli pizzas are supposedly just as good as the turkish ones here in holland. i'd rather eat my evening new paper for dinner.

Bugger! I dropped a spot.

I guess I'll have to start getting some quicker laps to increase my points haul each week? :)

All this talk of virtual food and beer, it's making me virtually hungry. ;)

Darren.

Bigracer, seeing that the gap will only increase until week 74 (including), I'll give you week 75 without my submission :P. Can't stand neither track nor combo.

well that's very sweet of you metar.
and not even jom kippur can make you submit for 75?
tssssss.
hard feelings i suppose ...

Yom Kippur does the opposite of what other holidays do - it makes you kick your butt away from the PS2 and go cycling.

that's funny - we go cycling every day of the year and not much of the younger people in the netherlands would have an idea what yom kippur is about, or even ever heard of the word.

Righty-O...Well Cyril mentioned that he'd like to stop doing the leaderboard and knowing what I do about databases and web based programs I know it's a pretty serious amount of work so I think a simpler system is definitely required. (and besides ol' Cyril deserves some proper rest :sly:)

I've already mentioned my spreadsheet before and it's something that takes a few minutes for me to update so in terms of a simple solution it may do the trick:

My system has many flaws, firstly it doesn't keep records for more than 8 weeks whereas Cyril's did, secondly, it's more complicated than Cyril's and probably a bit confusing.

Having said that, it will do the trick until a better system is found so if any of you keen WRS'ers have an idea, as Cyril already mentioned, feel free to step up. This comp is meant for everyone to feel a part of the community and the more people who want to help, the better 👍

Excellent work Colby, I'll have to sit down and have a think about another method, although for now this one is very nice 👍

I could see a way of integrating it in a simpler Excel sheet, and maybe even make it include the number of races raced, somehow. Maybe I could even figure out something with MatLab, that kind of stuff is what we learn right now at school...

Ben, get on the MSN...
