Check out my new GT4Prologue music drift video. If Lenny Kravitz being on GT3 was a sign I think this new Lenny Kravitz song may become a GT4 song, its catchy and he had a song in GT3. Enjoy.

Thats awesome man. Lenny Kravitz did have a good song in GT3, and that song right there sounds good for the game itself.
I like it, But I would listen to Lenny more if he didn't look so.... gh3y.

Great stuff. I hope GT4 has some sort of "Simulation Tires" because that looked like a work out from all the e-brake i heard. Wow, I hope drifting wont be TOO hard in GT4.. 👍

Definately!, I had the my left hand steering and my right hand on my dual shock controller moderating the ebrake and shifting. I injured my left hand a week ago, lol, because the work required in countersteering put too much strain on my left hand, but now it has healed and adapted to the wheel so I'm glad I got exposed to Prologue so when GT4 comes out, I should be ready.

I think once GT4 is out with the ability to tune the suspension, tires, and HP it should hopefully be easier. I was very dissappointed at Prologue the first 2-3 weeks because I couldn't get any oversteer at all. But now I understand, the game is a simulation of these cars and if you think about it not many factory stock cars come off the show room with oversteer, that wouldn't be safe, so you either have to work hard at it or tune your vechile so that it is easier. I really appreciate the physics now.

Is it hard to create long smooth drifts???......other wise thanxs for the new gt4 drift vid ......very much enjoyed it ...........hope to see more........i am getting very impatient for the new gt4!!!

The best that I can compare the difficulty is if you buy a car from the showroom and don't tune it and leave the asm on in GT3 and put tcs on 1. Its really hard to continue drifting out of a bend, so you have to do something to upset the balance of the car by weigth transfering or dipping the tires into the kitty litter to get some traction loss. With the red nsx (second drift clip of video) after my drift began to die, I rocked the cars tires into the grass to help it peel out, if I didn't do this I would be near impossible to get my rear end to fish tail like it did out of the bend. You can also observe the Black RX-8 in my video, I got through half way through the apex then the drift lost power, but I let the car flick back to the right and then used the fient motion to help drift the remaining part of the corner.

Great Video and loved the music. I hated the soundtrack in GT3 though with only a couple of songs you just hear the same rubbish over and over. Especially feeder i hate that band now. Anyone agree with me??

awsome video man i cant wait for gt4 almost every supra is gonna be in it thats gonna be fun! im glad to see the rx-8 im lookin forward too bouncin off its rev limiter.

Good stuff. I like the unconventional 180 in the middle there. Even though it was all over the grass and all, I think that it was a nice touch.

Looks like you had some sweet angles and pretty good lenghts of drifts in there. Hopefully, the full version of GT4 will be more accomadating to drifters.

It as actually said by KY in an interview that there would be a type of "drifting tire" available. i myself dont see how this is, but he has his ways unveiling the diamond details of GT4, or may be twisted in translation.
PS: i cant seem to find a thread mentioning the drifting cars available in the game, none the less, anyone wanting to drive them. yet i see so many threads such as this one discussing the matter, but not the cars that were built for the sport. :dunce: im in dire need of forum direction

dammmm i can see prologue is very hard to drift in. Pulling the e-brake to start the drift will have some getting used too. I wish they kept the settigs of GT3 and copied it into gt4 >:embarrassed:

Hopefully the full game should give drifters even better control

It did look very straining but still some nice drifts considering the lack of setup control nice to see a car sideways in gt4 prologue ;)

Thanx for asking before making a new thread.

Almost any car in the game can be a drifter. I've seen them all drift. From a GT40 all the way to that little FF 80Hp thing. Anyway, there aren't "specific" cars used to drift. But some are used more then others. Silvias, RX-7's and Skylines to name a few.

for some reason, i think he meant cars that are already modified for drifting, or maybe D1 cars, or maybe he meant what you were thinking, for the first two, i haven't seen anything about it, but i dont look around too much. As for the last one I agree with you swift :sly: :)

he had to pull the e-brake becuase he had stock cars...... duh lol

I dont know why you guys want it easier. When there's no power steering along with real life physics, I want it to be a challenge to drift. I don't want it to be like that Initial D Special Stage arcade game where it was way to easy to drift.

I agree with the Initial D part of you comment. That game is just too weak for words.

Thanxs for the answer........I was hoping that GT4 was harder to drift ....

I need to reclarify this, I take it back:
The best that I can compare the difficulty is if you buy a car from the showroom and don't tune it and you are allowed to turn off ASM and TCS. When I wrote this response I hadn't actually tried playing GT3 and trying to compare, my mistake. So if you want to somewhat get a feel for what GT4 Prologue is like, then there you go, get a brand new stock car and don't tune it. Take it to the tracks and learn to drift it. The ebrake in GT3 is kinda exagerated, if you just pull the ebrake in GT3 and steer the car you can produce a nice angle, but in GT4Prologue it isn't this simple with the ebrake. In Gt4Prologue is you use the ebrake in the same manner in gt3, good luck, it won't work, you have to apply ebrake into your technique, like when you fient and your rear is starting to come out, thats when ebrake needs to be applied to help induce more fish tailing, just like what D1 pros do. In Gt3 its simple enough to just pull the ebrake and continue pulling and steering to get your angle. When I try just pulling and holding the ebrake the effect is totally not the same in GT4Prologue. So maybe this info will help you guys prepare for Gt4.

I too felt this way at one time "I wish they kept the settings of GT3 and copied it into GT4P" because I was frusterated with all the freaking understeer, I think those that have played GT4P can vouch for this with me. I kinda resented not beable to drift and switched back to Gt3 for like a couple of days, boycotting the difficulty in Gt4P, lol. But I was determined to understand it and understand the wheel so I put in alot of seat time on the Grand Canyon with the DFP, the only place at the time where I was able to get any opposite lock going. Trust me, I crashed into the walls lots of times before understanding the 900 degree wheel, but after overcoming this and seeing what I need to do in GT4P to get a drift going on Tarmac, its very satisfying. I'm sure the veteran drifters here will be able to catch on quickly, but definately its not the same GT3 physics, you must learn to opposite lock the wheel to follow the road; you are not going to help your drift if your wheel is at zero countersteer.

Initial D was pretty fun though, of course i agree with you fully. I think it would be too hard trying to start a drift with the e-brake how do you does he do it??

wow, you injured your hand?

how much resistance does the wheel actually give?

because all i could mount it to is this tablemate thing i have, i hope the resistance doesnt pick it up from the floor and start spinning it wildly in the air.

..that would suck.

cant wait for gt4, maybe ill make a wild and crazy tablemate psychotic spinning drift video.
