Good day, GTplanet!

Much has been said about the true number of cars in GT5.
I took my time to create a car list that would be fair for most of us,
avoiding too many repetitions if unnecessary, and focusing on including
the most important models in each manufacturer, as well as variety of
car types. After a long week of doing research, and constant corrections,
I came up with this list of what GT5 could have been.

Note: THIS IS NOT a wish list, it´s my opinion (of most of us), an example and a humble suggestion on how PD should elaborate a car list for future games. Please feel free to comment, and share your opinion on which cars you think are missing or have been over-used. Also, to make this list as realistic as possible, I only used the licenses that PD has so far.

Fiat 500F: See 2CV.

Ford Explorer: Why? And why the '93 when the new ones are so much better?

Ford Excursion: No.

Ford Model T: I'm sure there's a reason this isn't in GT5 (as far as I know). Probably for the same reason, I don't miss it at all.

Ginetta: Whatever, too lazy to look up all those right now.

Hondas: CRX 1.5, Civic 1.5, '88 Accord, City, Element, and Insight shouldn't be there. You know what I'm going to say about the S500, S600, Today, Z Act, N360, and Life Step Van. The Jazz should be the Fit. And your year arrangements would make the USDM S2K slightly inferior to the JDM version. Why not make them both the same year or use only one?

Hyundais: Tiburon GT or Tuscani, pick one! The deisel Tucson can go too.

Isuzu Rodeo and Trooper: Trooper is slow and neither has any place in a racing game.

Lancias: The Y is slow and ugly. And you're missing a better Delta that was in GT2 - was it the Competizione? It was only available in dark red with yellow stripes, whatever it was.

Land Rovers: The Nintey, Defender, and 80s Range Rover can go. And when you mention the new Range Rover I'm assuming you mean the supercharged version. Am I correct?

Lotus: You should be using the S4 Sprint or S2 from GT2, not the S1.

Mazdas: The Carol 360 and CX-7 don't need to be there. The Atenza Sport whatever should be a Mazda6 but I can live with that.

Mercedes 190 Evo: Don't you mean Evo II?

Patent Motor Wagen: Are you serious?

Mitsubishis: I notice you have GTOs but no 3000GTs. You also have the iUseless as mentioned before. The Montero Super Select needs to go.

Nissans: The Skyline BLRA-3 can go, as can the Pathfinder and Cube. Oh, and I almost forgot - the '65 Silvia needs to be removed as well.

Pontiacs: I fail to see how the gutless '79 Trans Am would be better than a '69 or '71.

Renault Scenic: Why do we need a Megane minivan?

Scions: The xA, xB, and xD are all worthless, although I guess the xB could work if it's the second generation model with more power.

Subarus: The 360's time is over (especially since it's not even the Young SS). The XT can pass (maybe) if it's the six-cylinder variant. I'm not sure about the Brat. I'm also not sure about the Forester - I don't know that model's trims very well but I'm assuming it's the turbo version?

Suzukis: The Alto Lapin, Cervo SR, Escudo vert, Jimmy, and Kei Works can all be cut from the list.

Tesla Roadster: As long as no one ever has to drive it to get 100%.

Tommykaria Prius: A Prius is still a Prius, even with tuner stuff on it.

Toyotas: You actually did pretty nicely with this one, but there are some issues here. The Sera, Land Cruisers, FJ Cruiser, and both Priuses need to go.

Triumphs: I don't have time to look them up, but you seem to have suggested a lot of slow cars in place of faster alternatives. TR8 >>>> TR3.

Volkswagens: The Beetle, Kublewagen, Schwimmenwagen, and Microbus (excuse me, Samba Bus) can all go. Also, why Vento instead of the better-known Bora or Jetta?

Volvos: The PV544 can be removed, and I'm not sure what the 240 GLT State is but I'm assuming that's the 130hp wagon. If so, it might be good to get rid of it. Also, I might be wrong here but I think it might be a good idea to include the 242 Group A.

As an aside I did my blue-light training in the 4x4 Sierra Cosworth 3L Turbo - awesome road holding - cornered on rails

Thanks for the feedback! I totally forgot about this thread! I know I missied alot of cars, and that I might been mistaken in a few, but it is a large list, and the main idea was to see "what if" Gran Turismo 5 didn´t have any repetitions, and that it made it fair for all manufactures and models from all around the world. And one important thing to make it more realistic: Using the licenses that PD currently has. I now that we all want Porsche, but if I included it, it was going to turn into a wishlist, which is not what I intended to do.
