Maybe since they found out something wrong with the Russian version, they decided to make sure nothing else was wrong with the other versions.

To be honest, I cant say I'm surprised at all. When I heard about the Russia delay I was hoping it was just translation but I thought I might not be that simple.
It says this holiday season. That implies this year still around Xmas, I'd still be happy getting it this year!
People need to stop whining about it soo much. Would you rather have an incomplete game Nov 2nd or get a complete & amazing game at Xmas? I think I'd go with the complete version myself xD

I'd rather have the complete game in November, completed! 💡

We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.

It will have certainly exceeded my expectations after it launches because I'm not even expecting it to launch at this rate...Just as I was getting all excited for this...

AGAIN!? At least put the demo up on the Playstation store for a free download!...

That is a top idea. I was wondering why we are so close to a release date and there is no on-line demo. Makes you think how long ago did they pull the plug for November?

On european site they say it'll be out before christmas :

"We are sorry to say that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available on the previously announced release date of November 3rd, but the game will be released before Christmas. We sincerely apologise to GT fans for the delay, however creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating a racing experience of the highest quality.

We are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches later this year.

We’ll have more information for you in the near future. "

maybe KY went like "ano.... oro...." pressing a few buttons on the comp like homer simpson and deleted the whole game.

blah blah blah. by the time this game releases it would be called Gran Turismo ∞

Six weeks to go was easy, now at 3 to tell us this is like Christmas being delayed for a child. As an adult x-mas means nothing to me as I can just buy whatever I want. But something I have to wait for with no control over, (like when you were a kid waiting for x-mas to get than new toy) is tough on on the nerves when you have to wait even longer.

didn't they also announce a while ago they already had people working on GT-SIX?? jumped the gun a bit there PD. unless i'm mistaken on this bit of info.

why don't you finish what's on your plate before looking down the table?

oh great. look at all the kids moaning and winging out of impatience and giving it the full NIMBY or 'i refuse to buy this' or 'im cancelling my preorder', what would you rather have? an incomplete glitch-fest like F1 2010 was or a complete, refined, glitch-free working version of the game you losers?

I'm so 🤬 tired of people justifying the delay. If they said that it would be complete on a certain day, I would expect it to be complete on that day. We were expecting a game that was complete, with minimum bugs as possible, ON THAT DAY.

At this point, I'd rather have the actual demo, considering the time it has been delayed. Stop justifying like we're the bad ones. It's like blaming a rape victim of being raped because she didn't protect herself.

That said, I'm still keeping my preorder... :(

Oh, they have a new term to say: soon, nice. Still, I do not believe anything said about this game, funny thing is, my dissapointment is so big that I do not even feel dissapointed or angry, I just kinda do not care any more. (yes I do care enough so that I post here, before somone says that)

http://kotaku.com/5662886/gran-turismo-5-delayed-now-coming-this-holiday-season

Kotaku just talked to SCEA for an update:
SCEA tells Kotaku that the delay is indeed global adding that they can't elaborate on whether "holiday season" could mean early 2011. When asked for specifics about the cause of the delay they only said that "Polyphony is optimizing ever aspect to provide the best racing experience."
So things are still unknown.

All I can say is that this really sucks. Fortunately, I didn't request Nov2 off yet, since I don't need to do it this far out, but in my mind, I am quite steamed. I bought a PS3, I bought a G27, a Wheelstand Pro and GTP to practice on.

I thought it would still be released before christmas which is a positive to take out of this, atleast its still this year.

Horribly disappointing, seems very late to announce a delay too. Paradoxically enough I'll have more money to spend come holiday season, so there's at least some positive news for me.

Hahaahaha.... 👍

Kaz: " ah... you guys.... ahh... sorry, but we have to start from scratch..."

So which Christmas are they referring to? 2010, 2011 or 2012?

Do they realize there's this thing called the INTERNET, which companies often use to patch their games AFTER release?!? WTF!!
