Yea, it's like going to a supermarket and everyday you see the same snack lady handing out samples of her new snack. But that's it! It's the same snack every ****ing day and she doesn't know when she'll have it perfected. "MAYBE NEXT TIME" "In a few months it'll be ready, but in the meantime, try a sample of my new snack!"

ok, that was a bad example.

It was indeed, however I'd love to have some "snacks" to play, i'd rather eat some "snacks" than just watch others "eating" them. :grumpy:

And our "snacks" ladies sucks at driving, BTW.

14 days 'till GOW III and GT trailer? That's nice, even if we don't get the infamous release date we might get some good content and some insights and confirmations from the trailer.

Maybe, but apart from the superior "hood cam", it's the only way to play!

For you maybe, the only way to play it properly in my opinion is interior view.
It's possibly the main reason, for me at least, to buy Prologue as after seeing those interiors i couldn't go back to GT4.

Amen.

It's more practical, although I'd rather donwshift from first gear to reverse, it would be better, but reversing with triangle is not that bad at all.

Yeah, I know it's probably more practical, but pretty much anyone who drives manual (which might actually not be a majority of GT players) would learn how to shift down into reverse in maybe 3 seconds.

I personally find it really uncomfortable to hold down triangle while turning with my DFGT.

The interior view is great if you want to **** up often. It's also good if you want to have a minimal sense of speed and direction while turning.

Maximal sense of speed is matter of NFS, in GT's interior view you have exactly the same sense like in real life and you can even feel the track surface through interior shaking. I guess you have tiny old TV so you can't see the track very well because of screen full of interior or you are used to drive your car lying on your hood with face on the cooler grill :sly: Otherwise you would love that view.

Haha. No my tv isn't small and it isn't SD. So it's neither of those things. It's just uncomfortable for me. Sure, I can run laps in that view and do alright, but I'd be limiting myself greatly.

I run my best laps using roof cam, actually. Down from there, it's cockpit, then bumper, then chase.

I do agree that cockpit doesn't give you the best sense of speed, but it keeps me happy.

No way, cockpit or chase for me.

I also like triangle as reverse. Shifting feels natural in a real car, but when I played Forza, downshifting into it always felt odd.

I'm really impressed with the collision physics and movement, very realistic

See 0:25 sec onwards where he first nudges the yellow car, with tyres smoking, then gets side swiped by another yellow car a little later - the way the car slow spins into the wall looks convincing and smooth 👍
then the detail of the wire fence is nice :)

If they let the reverse to be shifted by a shifter with half second protection time functioning as a preventer similarly to a real car, then it would be perfect. I hate hunting triangle on the wheel when the time is running out.

Yes, is nice, but, for an a half decade i dont espect less.

Doesn't matter how big your TV is, cockpit view uses less than a quarter of it to display the track. The rest is filled up with an extra steering wheel and a load of other useless junk that you never look at. Bumper cam FTW!

It's weird why car manufacturers don't place driver's seat instead of front bumper when interiors are just load of useless junk :sly:

Bumper cam seems like a stupid NFS game to me but interior view has definitely the feel of serious simulation and driving the real car. Plus I can see all the apexes exactly as I'm used to in real life.

There should be definitely option to turn off displaying of steering wheel and/or driver's hands.

I meant useless junk in game terms. Seeing the stitching on the glovebox is much less interesting to me than seeing an extra bit of road but, hey, a lot of people are wetting themselves over these interior views so I guess it adds something to the experience for some to be able to see the radio control knobs at all times. Me? I already see less of the road than I do IRL, no need to reduce that further thanks.

I don't see a problem with less view using interior view, i know there is less but i take it for granted as it is the only option for me really.
I'm also taking it for granted i might lose a couple of micro-seconds on each lap as the experience offers tons more fun and realism in my opinion.
All the possible downsides mentioned are something which i soon got used to and changed my driving style ( looking in the mirrors, etc. ) to suit the more natural option.

And no, i don't have a gigantic TV-set.

And yes, i do like details such as stitched leather on the steering wheel, so much detail and outright fetisjism has gone into recreating these interiors it is a shame not to use it.
Using bumper/ hood-cam is like ordering a pizza and only eating the crust. ;)

I never asked for it. I don't like it. Shame or not I'm not going to use it. TBH I hate it so much that if cockpit was the only view available I wouldn't buy the game. No joke.

Fair enough, let's agree to disagree on this, it's only a matter of preference.

For me it's the thing i'm looking forward to the most, all those cars i loved in GT4 and all the new ones being playable from a completely new perspective.

And in general i might be more into small details ( or more anal ) than most GT-players. ;)
