My Gran Turismo 5 keeps freezing when I try to enter the Fuji Speedway just in general, it freezes when i try it in general. The game doesn't necessarily freeze, the music still plays and so do the animations, it just doesn't allow me to move at all, and the only way to stop it is to quit the game, it's frustrating as I cannot finish the beginner section in both A-spec and B-spec nor can I finish my licenses. Please help

For me, it takes forever to load Tokyo R246, and when it does finish loading, a lot of the textures, especially on the back end of the track, are just gone, so you just end up driving over the void. The issue usually resolves itself on the second or third lap of the race, but I find it really funny on the first lap

I doesn't load at all for me

You will need to go through a process of elimination, the first thing to do is delete the game data from your console and do a fresh install of GT5.

If the same issue occurs with a fresh install, check the disk isn't damaged and it may also be worth checking the hard drive in the console isn't full of bad sectors. Try installing a new HDD if you have a spare one you know is good around.

What do you mean by an install? Sorry if I'm being rude or just plain stupid but I thought just using the disk would mean that I wouldn't have to install the actual game

From memory, the game installs some files to your HDD, including the updates. So there's a chance there are files on the HDD that are corrupted/incomplete. If it's not that, then it could be the disk itself that's damaged or the HDD itself. On from that, it could be the disk drive that's struggling. You'll have to try to eliminate the possiblities one by one.

I mean, I've already used that button in the option menu, I think it's called "restore files" but when I press it it says that there are no files to restore

On the PS3, go into the Game Data utiliy and see if there's an icon for GT5 in there. That will confirm if there are any files stored on the console. Also, check the disk for scratches. If you have access to a different PS3, try the disk in the other console, if could also be the disk drive failing.

I had the same freeze at Fuji. On PS3, go to Settings > Game Data Utility, find Gran Turismo 5 and delete the Game Data (this just clears temp files, not your save).
