^its not a complete list, only the cars that have already been confirmed through various forms(screenshots, trailers etc) so there is still hope!!

I still don't know why they haven't shown us more german cars at gamesom (NEW RUF's,Mercs,BMW's ,Audi's,etc).Nothing would have got the german people more excited.

Maybe there are no more German premium cars to come?

Don't think so remmember the new C-class we have seen it several times and I wouldn't think PD wouldn't include new Audis or BMW's or RUF's.

...too many JP cars.yes,I know its a japanese game, but if the list had 200premiums..instead of a few different types of Lexus SC430 race cars, wouldve loved to see a few DTM cars also.I just get a feeling..PD was paid to have alot of these cars in..and it became a little marketing spin for car manufacturers...

Doesn't even make sense.

RUF have new cars to offer into the supercar category and I'd be thoroughly shocked and annoyed if only the GT4 RUF models were in GT5.

RUF should have 3 premium cars in GT5: CTR Yellow Bird, CTR3, and the RT-12

Bonus premium RUF= RGT-8

You mind changing that? The mods won't like seeing that term in the post. Just a friendly rememinder.

I wholeheartedly agree that there are a tad too many JP cars.
I understand that it's a Japanese game, but I would have prefered less NSX variants for example, and more variety, perhaps more Maseratis.

That is what I said, wouldn't make anysense if we still have the same RUF's but interesting that if they modeled any new ones they would have appeared in their home country. The RT-12 is a top 5 cars wishlist for me.

key number you guys are missing 200+

I don't think they ever specified the number of standard cars. All they said was 1000 cars including 200+ premium cars, and 'the rest' standard

We already know cars like the Skyline R32, R34, Various Mazda RX7s etc. will be premium. They can easily be duplicated/modified to fill the variants of said models. (There is no major difference between the variants, so no reason why they can't modify the model slightly to bump up the number of premium cars, like they did in GT4 with the standard of the day back then).

Which means that if you include variants (providing PD have done what I said above), we could see up to around 300 premiums, or perhaps more. Or I could be working this backwards, there could be 200 after they've included the variants, which would be disappointing... There is no doubt though, that the majority of cars in GT5 will be standard.

Why are two of those cars (the Audi R8 LMS and the Lamborghini Countach) standard if they have never been in a GT game previously?

I mean from GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4. After all, the Corvette ZR1 was also not previously in a GT game before GT PSP and in GT5, its Premium.

Hmm i really have no idea then, probably just wanted to spice up the Standard list more than just having all ported cars from previous GT's.

I'm sure that they have more to offer than ports in the Standard department. Even if most of them are ports, I still trust PD will have some original standard cars. I for one, will be driving plenty of standard cars. I don't see why people would go out of their way not to drive standards just because they love cockpit view.
We've done without it before, why not now?

For me, its not so much a issue with what cars have interiors as it is them stating that Standards are updated cars from previous GTs yet in that picture, they show cars that haven't been in any of the previous ones. Also, I don't really count GT PSP since its essentially Gran Turismo 4 Portable.

Wait, so your issue is that you think they're lying to us or something?

I'm not saying they are lying, they just don't seem absolutely clear on that and I'm trying to figure it out. The text says one thing, but the picture says another.

Well, just about everything in this game has been conflicting so far, but I wouldn't worry because it seems everything has worked out well so far.

Thats what would suck if the 200 plus included the variants instead of different cars. But knowing PD they will make all the premium's different so out of two RX7's if one had a different gauge cluster, then that car would have a different dash and then that would be two premiums. imo. I hope not though.

The texts says exactly what the picture shows. All those, standard, cars were in previous GT games, that isn't to say PREMIUM cars can't be from previous games either.

I really hope PD isnt being 'evil' behind the scenes,Kaz knows how immensly popular GT is.If the Countach is standard...to me,they expect manufacturers to pay big to have cars premium.Think about it,the team Kaz raced for,car is in.Kaz and Honda twitter,NSX variants.I feel..a bit sold out in the matter.I grew up on GT, GT1 when I was 10,and it really has the car enthusiast spirit in it.Forza3,on the other hand doesnt, and feels like you're playing an Audi commercial.I dont want that to happen to GT.btw, has it been confirmed if the Go Karts are a part of the premiums?would be bs if it was.Seems like novelty to me...

I'm guessing you didn't see the video where it said "Premuim" next to it in the selection menu. Also, its only one Kart so its not like its taking up much space and it'll serve a very significant part in the recently announced "GT Life".

I don't think there's much to worry about in that regard. I would imagine the "top tier" cars like Ferrari and Lamborghini are all premium, and the standards will be the lesser-driven cars from previous games.

Personally, I think of the game as only having the 200-whatever cars. The standards are just extras, novelty items, and I'll probably never use them in the course of normal play.
