^ Um, the Papadakis S2000 is Premium. And when was the stock S2000 showed up? I'm aware of the Amuse (S2000) GT1, but not the original model.

Hmm... if the Papadakis S2000 is premium then there's a possibility that several other S2000 will be too, but maybe it's just me. We'll see at TGS if there will be some surprises regarding the real meaning of Premium/Standard.

Oh snap! The EVO IV is in there.

All I need is the EVO III and the 90's Toyota Soarer 2.5GT and it'll be perfect.

Yeah, I was going to put it as premium but didn't remember if it genuinely looked premium on the back of the case and didn't have time to check. Seeing the case back again, it sure looks premium so I've changed it.

As for the stock S2000, I have no idea and don't remember seeing one. I just took the OP's list and updated it.

Yeah, and the Amuse as well. I'm sure there will be premium S2000 but I don't think one's been seen just yet

so the veyron and (possible balboni) isn't premium? but a suzuki cappacino is?

First of all, I only listed the confirmed premium cars. A few other cars on this list may still be verified as premium. The Veyron will almost undoubtedly be premium and I'm completely sure of it, but we have yet to see it. We have seen some PSP promotional shots of it where it's clearly not taken straight from GT PSP and may be using GT5 assets, however notably the front grille on the car doesn't look quite up to PS3 standards. The rest of the car does in those shots, however, and it looks very close to a PS3 premium model IMO. But either way, it will definitely be a premium car.

Also keep in mind performance has nothing to do with premium/standard car lists. GT has always been about all different kinds of cars, slow and quick, so it's going to be no different here with the premium car list just like the standard car list.

Stock S2000 was spotted in a older trailer flashed only for a few frames.

Who cares if it wouldn't be? The Veyron is like the ugliest car ever, and it's got nothing but top speed.

:D

You short sighted loser... Nothing but top speed?
Check this link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Top_Gear_test_track_Power_Lap_Times

It is the production car lap times around top gears test track. What is that car at the very top? A Bugatti Veyron? It sure is.

It is one of the fastest cars in the world around a track... it's record for fastest car in a straight line is just a bonus.

And then it got beat by the Pagani Zonda, same episode by the way.

nope, not the "Bugatti Veyron Super Sport", it's still the top car.

On a side note, just because it's fast and expensive does not mean it has to be a "premium" car.

Amazing how people love to pretend they know what they're talking about and bash the Veyron. Yeah, it's a heavy car but it sure has a hell of a lot more than top speed. Since someone previously mentioned Top Gear, let's just look at all the cars with a quicker lap than the standard Veyron:

1:16.8 - Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
1:17.1 - Gumpert Apollo Sport
1:17.3 - Ascari A10
1:17.6 - Koenigsegg CCX (with Top Gear Wing)
1:17.7 - Noble M600
1:17.8 - Pagani Zonda Roadster F Clubsport
1:17.9 - Caterham Seven R500
1:18.3 - Bugatti Veyron

Not a whole lot at all... And nothing that's ever been in a GT game before or has been seen so far in GT5. Not to mention the car at the very top of the list that's faster than them all... Oh, but right, it's too heavy. It just goes in straight lines. Who needs the Veyron, or for that matter the Enzo, Murcielago LP640, or the McLaren F1? If a car that just goes in straight lines beats them around a race track then surely they must all be absolutely useless!

Gordon Murray first bashed the car when he heard of the project but drove it himself and took it all back, saying it was a brilliant car. Several experts, including Tiff Needell in particular, have said that the car handles very well even despite its weight and it's actually very easy to drive.

Based on...? Half the reason some of the cars on the list are NOT listed as Premium is that I require proof, not people guessing based solely on how nice the exterior model looks. Until someone can show me the Papadakis car is Premium, it will not be listed as such.

Conquerer
I just took the OP's list and updated it.

As opposed to simply telling me which cars could be updated, you had to repeat the entire long list?

Thank you for completely baiting people to derail my thread once again... 👎

Until there's news every day and until I don't have a real live job everyday, I'm not going to be here all the time.

Which makes finding any news difficult when I have to wade through 10+ pages of children bickering.

Especially when they feel the need to edit their post to apologize, while at the same time continuing the childishness...

Now, for the actual list, I asked before and got nothing:
What happened to that image from the GT Apex book that included a list of Premium and Standard cars?

Yeah, I understand. Sorry again.

Have you ever considered handing the thread over to someone more active though? For your own sake I mean.

EDIT: No, I don't want it, if that's what it sounded like.

It's a game. You don't need a list updated instantaneously. It doesn't make the game get to you any faster, it doesn't unlock some magical new cars for the game. The list is a tool.

If you can't wait for real life issues to take precedence over updating a list, then you have priority issues.

EDIT: Thank you Jay, although I guess I was mistaken, that doesn't have anything about Standard or Premium.

I can wait, in fact I'm just glad if there are surprises left for when I get the game.

However, because you're not on here every day you should expect the thread to go off topic from time to time.

And another thing. This is the Internet you know, and false information can be spread all over it over a night, so if someone see a car list which he/she thinks is accurate he/she will perhaps show it to his/her friends and from there on it takes off. Then everyone with enough knowledge will have to explain that the list is inaccurate. In other words, it is good if it is as up to date as possible.

Some of these cars, I'm unsure why people assume they are Premium. Are we basing the Premium guesses solely on whether or not cars have a visible driver or something, because a lot of this just seems like assumption.

Tell me which cars you mean and I can tell right away.

I could be 100% up on the news and the list could still be made inaccurate tomorrow, based solely on the fact that we do not know everything about every car and we do not know all the premium cars. The list is as accurate as present information allows, and the list will still be at that same stage of accuracy if it is not updated every few days. Nor would having anyone else do the list, even if they updated it more often, make it infallible.

Anyone who fails to check the most up to date version of the list and bases their assumptions solely on what someone pasted on the internet (being full of false information, as you point out) is of no concern to me, because they clearly need correcting if they're going to start going on about something without a hint of research on their own part.

And no, I don't particularly expect a thread to go off topic solely because I am not around. I hardly think anyone involved in the silly arguements over pretty cars and fast cars is doing so because of my appearances. They are doing so because they haven't bothered to read anything asking them for some common courtesy.

So in other words, no actual proof of a modeled cockpit or anything that says premium, you're simply assuming based on a high resolution screenshot.

How many high resolution screenshots do we have of Standard cars to know how they are supposed to compare?

Well, we know that the R8 LMS Race Car (not the LMP1 car) with the playstation livery is standard, but when was the other one (non liveried, silver R8) featured in a GT game before? GTPSP? It wasnt in GT4 nor GT5P, was it? If that's Standard is it a new standard or has it been in GTPSP?
