so far ive gathered:
no infineon/ no laguna seca (but they have daytona instead? HAHAHAHAAH)
no bumper view/ overhead view (fricken kidding me?)
no plans for '09 release?
im excited for 2010, maybe christmas 2010? everyone is waiting only to get disappointed, a game held back almost as long as starcraft with no release date in site, really pisses me off.
end rant
Where did you gather that information? :odd:

wow i rarely post here, but the more i read about gt5 (whole reason i bought a ps3 to begin with was for gt5). it seems its slowly becoming a major flop, maybe im just jumping to conclusions, but im pretty sure im not the first to mention this but, wouldnt it be funny if they are spending all this time on this game, to make 20 different iterations of the highly regarded japanese cars (gtr, nsx sti, evo blah blah blah).
yea reading more threads in these forums makes me want to forget about waiting for whoever knows how long gt5 will actually be ready, ill just get an xbox360 and get forza3 and upgrade a porsche or do an engine swap (something GT5 probably wont have).

no bumper view/ overhead view (fricken kidding me?) There is both in GT5P
no plans for '09 release? Wait for E³

Seriously, wtf?

srsly wtf, yea i know like i said i jumped to conclusions, my apologies.

i read in two different threads about both tracks and view cams, THEN later came back to view it again and found out the thread post date was 07 and 08, so it was old and just another shot down speculation.
and as far as E3 goes, has there been any word that PD is going to show up?

Just found this post in the Neogaf forum. Does anybody know if this is true? Didn't find that list here in the forum, so I thought I'll post it here.

Here's the "confirmed tracks" list again. All the tracks from GT4, TT and GT5P, as well as tracks seen in the weather menu and tracks announced in other ways (Top Gear for example, and Madrid).

(• means we've had this track in previous games, including Tourist Trophy; ○ means new to Gran Turismo)

54 venues so far, 12 new to the series
72 tracks, including variations

So if the 96 rumor is true, there will be about 25 more in addition to this list.

I hope we're gonna hear something about GT5 at the E3 today... :nervous:

We'd better get some of those fictional tracks from previous GTs too. One more vote for Red Rock Valley!

Old news. It's been posted on this site before.

Sorry for the double post then, didn't find that list... but I didn't search that much either...
Anyway, can that list be trusted or is it more like another wishlist?

It's a combination of GT4 , TT and GT5P tracks together with some GT5P weather locations. That's the sort of list anybody could come up with. That's not to say it won't turn out to be reasonably accurate, but with any luck we'll all know better in about four hours.

Did anybody else notice the "Rally of Tuscany" in the E3 trailer? It could just be referring to Citta di Aria, but Assisi is in Umbria, the next provence over.

I wrote this on another thread but the city track in the new trailer appears to be Bern, Switzerland.

bring back red rock valley!
this is another request for RED ROCK VALLEY!!!!111
DAMN that e3 clip was an awesome 2 minutes!

I'm pretty sure the runway is the Top Gear test track

look at the hangers in the background of the first picture, what way the are facing.
and the directioon of the runway in comparison the the real...

This rally Toscana thing is interesting... Assisi is in Umbria, but the Rally of Toscana sign could mean he have another rally, and it could be that one in the fields..

Maybe that square in the beginning is a photomode location.

The clip where there are cars gathering on a street, with the trams, is in Bern, Switzerland. I googled the tram stop names on the front of the 2 trams. So i guess its a street circuit around Bern. It looks beautiful.

I doubt it - balang_479 is probably closer with the photomode location idea. One such location in GT5:P is a small town near to where the Nurburgring is, for example. Bern happens to be very close to Grindlewald & Eiger Nordwand...

I think it is safe to assume that we will get almost all of the road tracks from GT4.

PD can't possibly release a GT game without Grand Valley, Clubman Stage Route 5, Deep Forest, Mid-Field Raceway, Tokyo Route 246, Trial Mountain, and more. I know these are not confirmed, but I also don't think anyone is doubting these will be included.

I would love to see Spa-Francorchamps, ao Rouge is.. wait for it... Legendary!

It's not a wishlist

No it isn't safe to assume that, Quite a few road tracks from GT3 weren't in GT4. PD could easily release GT5 without all of those tracks, they decide what is in the game. This thread isn't for assumptions but for actual confirmed or semi-confirmed tracks. Sorry if I sound harsh but someone needs to take a hard line on this.

The street scenes are definitely in a Photo Travel location. Notice the cars coming out of branching side roads. GT doesn't do free-roam (maybe it means we can shoot multiple cars in Travel now!).

Does anyone have pics of the Tuscany rally stage? If the ramp the cars were coming down off of is any indication, I'd say it's confirmed, but I've never seen the course myself.

I think Texas Motor Speedway is getting in

Why would Kazunori Yamauchi fly from Japan to Fort Worth Texas to watch a NASCAR race? To watch his favorite sport in person?

Doubtful. They were there taking picture of the track, the officials, everything that goes on.

And don't throw a fit oval haters. Texas Motorspeedway has a road course layout as well

Nascar is his favorite sport? or do you mean motor racing in general?
